.aspx 301 redirects on Business Catalyst

Hi
I am have moved my website from .aspx to business catalyst.
I have found out (when the site already migrated!) that Business Catalyst does not support .aspx 301 redirects.
On a previous post from 2012 (https://moz.com/community/q/aspx-files-will-simply-not-work-as-redirects) , someone has recommended a java script re direct. I have tried this but google search console is classing this as a 404 resulting in no link juice and my website dropping pages on google.
I have tried to do 301 redirects at my server level but wont work.
Anyone know a solution?

Thanks for all of your help. After weeks of trying lots of suggestions (including the ones above), we have finally found a solution - Cloudflare.
We have done our 301 redirects via cloudflare to remove the .aspx
E.g. /old-directory/page1.aspx has been 301 redirected to /old-directory/page1 using cloudflare. This has removed the .aspx and allowed me to use business catalyst's 301 redirects to direct /old-directory/page1 to new-directory/page1
This has fully restored my page rank!
I would like to thank Adam at Redback Creations in Northern Ireland for helping me with this issue.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do on Business Catalyst to redirect the .aspx pages.
This is what we have done in the past for situations where we needed to make sure the .aspx pages are redirected and you do not have access to existing server. The solution is not ideal, and takes a bunch of extra work, but may be worth it for clients who are really concerned with SEO:
- Build new website on BC
- Take the HTML/CSS output of all the pages and load onto another server outside of BC.
- Setup the redirects for all pages on the site (including the .aspx pages) to the new .html location on this temporary server
- Point the domain to the temporary server
- Wait until Google has indexed the new location of the pages
- Point the DNS over to the BC website
Or, I believe Oleg's suggestion will work if you do this prior to moving the website over to Business Catalyst. Putting redirects on the old server will not do anything if you have pointed the DNS or the a records over to BC already.

Http -> https redirections / 301 the right way
Dear mozers, Thank you for your time reading the message and wanting to help! So, we have moved our WordPress to https and redirected all the content successfully via htaccess file. We used a simple 301 redirect plugin, which we are using to redirect old URLs to the new ones. The problem today is, the redirections in the plugin are not working for http version. Here is an example: htaccess redirect: http --> https Plugin redirect domain.com/old --> domain.com/new but, the url http://domain.com/old is not redirecting to https://domain.com/new while https://domain.com/old does redirects to https://domain.com/new What can you suggest as a solution? Creating a CSV file for uploading 301 redirect URL map
Hi if i'm bulk uploading 301 redirects whats needed to create a csv file? is it just a case of creating an excel spreadsheet & have the old urls in column A and new urls in column B and then just convert to csv and upload ? or do i need to put in other details or paremeters etc etc ? Cheers Dan

301 Redirects on Large Real Estate Website
Hi guys,We are about to move over to a new website and need advice on handling the 301 redirects.We have a large real estate website with around 12,000 pages, a lot of these are properties (about 10,000)On our old website, the url structure for each property is as follows -domainname.com/property/view?property=14863on our new site, the url structure isdomainname.com/properties/view/6137The property ID number is always different from old site to new. The way we see it, we have two options. a.) a manual redirect of each and every property url. A very very long jobb.) a folder level redirect, so redirect the 'property' folder on the old site into the 'properties' folder on new. The con with this one is we are not sure if this is the best route to take, if it is how we would go about it?Some advice would be really appreciated guys. I know there are some hyper intelligent SEO's in here and we need to make sure we handle this right!Many thanks in advance.Mark

301 redirects
Hello. Our site was recently rebuilt, and we switched from using index.php in all the urls to not using it at all. We also changed the names of many of our pages. So the urls have been renamed from "example.com/index.php/old_page_name/" to "example.com/new-page-name/". While we were at it, we changed from "_" to "-" as our word separators in the urls. In the .htaccess file, we have a small block of code that strips out "index.php/" from all requests. This code redirects a request for "example.com/index.php/old_page_name/" to "example.com/old_page_name/" For your information, the code that strips out "index.php/" is: RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^GET.index.php [NC]

Will bad things happen if I cancel 301 site redirect?
Hi, please someone help! We have two identical websites, say A & B. Because of the not so good SEO establishment, site B was built and site A was 301 redirected to site B weeks ago. For some reasons, we have to reuse site A, which means we have to cancel the 301 redirection. (Sound a little crazy) So the question are: 1. Can we conduct the action? 2. If we cant, what's the reason? 3. If we can, what would be the best practice? Thanks for help in advance! Plus: we also CARE what would happen to site B if the 301 is cancelled? A technical 301 Redirect Question
Alright, I'm taking a chance and stepping into the developer role here...something completely out of my comfort zone so bear with me. We have a pretty site built in PHP (www.dassant.com) and we are coming across some duplicate content issues. For example, these are supposed to be the same page: http://www.dassant.com/products.php and http://www.dassant.com/products So the SEO in me states the obvious: We need a 301 redirect stat! Unfortunately, our developer went MIA and I am having the hardest time getting a 301 implemented. After some research I found the code that I need to paste into the PHP (for this specific page): Header( "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" );
