Unsolved Why is Moz reporting 308s as 302s?

Got a looooong list of redirect issues in my crawl for a new client, all reported as 302s but as far as I can see they are all 308s... which is perfectly fine, right, or have I missed a memo?

They even confirm the 308 status in the moz detail.

Currently, there are some 301 redirects in place for the main pages but I was wondering if it would be better / easier to just set up domain forwarding? I can't seem to find anywhere that tells you the "type" domain forwarding, is it 301? 302? etc. Thanks,

Unsolved I have a "click rate juice" question would like to know.

Hello I have a "click rate juice" question would like to know. For example. I created a noindex site for a few days event purposes. Using a random domain like this: event.example.com. Expecting 5000+ clicks per day. Is it possible to gain some traffic juice from this event website domain "example.com" to my other main site "main.com" but without exposing its URL. Thought about using 301 redirecting "example.com" to "main.com". But it will reveal the example-b.com to the general public if someone visits the domain "example.com". Also thought about using a canonical URL, but it would not be working because the event site is noindex. or it would not matter at all 🤔 Wondering if there is a thing like this to gain some traffic juice for another domain? Thanks

301 Redirects from example.com to store.example.com and then removing store.example.com subdomain

Hi I'm trying to wrap my head around the best approach for migrating our website. We're migrating from our example.com (joomla) site to our existing store.example.com (shopify) site... with the plan to finish the redirects/migration then remove the subdomain from shopify and use example.com moving forward. I've never done this and asking here to see if any harm will come from re-directing example.com URLs to store.example.com URL's then changing the store.example.com URL's to example.com. Right now my plan would run like this: redirect example.com URL's to store.example.com remove subdomain on store.example.com use example.com moving forward. wonder what happens next? Is there going to be any issues here, possible harm to the URL's?

When to re-write and redirect a blog url?

What are best practices for rewriting (and then redirecting) blog URLs? I refresh old blog posts on our blog every month and many of them have URLs that are too long or could be improved. However, many of them also already get decent organic traffic and I don't want to lose traffic due to a URL redirect. Are there any best practices or "rules" I can follow when deciding whether to re-write and redirect blog URLs?

Is the MOZ Community Ranking broken?

I have been busy and away from MOZ for a while, but over the years I have been an active member of the community. I have over 2000 Moz points and usually if you haven't been on in the specified time period you become unranked, however this usually updates in 24 hours of logging back in. I have been active again since Sunday and I am still unranked yet I have gained several more points answering a couple of questions. My question is - have I missed something and the system has changed (not according to the top users table) or is the system broken?

Moz doesn’t show the right facebook likes.

Hi moz help, I found out that in opensiteexplorer.org our Facebook likes counts zero, while my facebook account actually counts more than 600 likes. How is this possible? No data in Moz

Hello, Since last tuesday there has been no data in Moz anymore. The error code for the homepage says: '608 : Page not decodable as specified Content-Encoding:' I checked this list http://moz.com/help/pro/why-can-t-rogerbot-crawl-my-site but it doesn't tell me more.

Why does Crawl Diagnostics report this as duplicate content?

Hi guys, we've been addressing a duplicate content problem on our site over the past few weeks. Lately, we've implemented rel canonical tags in various parts of our ecommerce store, over time, and observing the effects by both tracking changes in SEOMoz and Websmater tools. Although our duplicate content errors are definitely decreasing, I can't help but wonder why some URLs are still being flagged with duplicate content by our SEOmoz crawler. Here's an example, taken directly from our Crawl Diagnostics Report: URL with 4 Duplicate Content errors:

/safety-lights.html ?cat=78&price=-100
/safety-lights.html?cat=78&dir=desc&order=position /safety-lights.html?cat=78 /safety-lights.html?manufacturer=514 What I don't understand, is all of the URLS with URL parameters have a rel canonical tag pointing to the 'real' URL
/safety-lights.html So why is SEOMoz crawler still flagging this as duplicate content?
