Google Analytics Best Practice Set up for Clients

Hi When setting up new Google Analytics accounts for clinets what is the preferred/best practice.
At present we have our own company google account and add new clinets this way (to our account) - the disadvantage with this, we can only grant them limited account access otherwise they would be able to view all the accounts we cretaed.
Plus we can't link their adwords to the GA account we cretaed them.
Is it best practice to set the client up with their own Google Account and then we just link to their account.
Advise would be appreciated, thank you.

I agree as well. Right now you can't hand off the analytics account if you and the client split ways, for one. For another, it's not just Google that can see which sites are related. Take a look at http://spyonweb.com/ -- put one of your clients in there, and you're likely to see all of your clients show up.

From now on - I will create unique accounts for each client and link myself to their account.
Foe the simple reason when they start to run google ads they can not link their account

What would be the disadvantage of Google knowing who your clients are? (Just wondering)

using a tool like RoboForm helps outs...this can really help with alll the PW's...

I would agree with using separate google accounts. I usually put everything like analytics, webmaster tools, youtube etc within a unique account for each client.

I'd be careful using GA for clients. If you link them in any way, google can easily see who all of your clients are. I think using a different tracker is preferable.

Google Analytics Campaign Tracking overriding each other
Howdy, fellow mozzers. So, here is the situation: Let's say someone comes to the website through Organic Google Search, and first thing they see is the banner on the website, on a click of which it takes you to a promotional landing page. I have this banner being tracked with GA campaigns. Now, here are my questions: If that user makes a purchase, which source / medium it will be assigned to? Organic/google or website/banner? (as far as i understand it assigns it to website/banner) If that's the case, is there way to find out afterwords where the website/banner sessions came initially from? If there is no such way, how shall i setup the tracking to be able to see wherre the initial visit to the website came from, yet also track how many people clicked on the banner and made a purchase? Google Search Console - > Google Search Analytic gives figure for google organic or adwords or combine of both?
Hi All, In Google Search Console -> In Search Analytics. I can see Clicks, Impressions, CTR and Position. I want to know all these 4 - Clicks, Impressions, CTR and Position gives information related to google organic only? or combine or google organic and google adwords? Thanks!

Google Analytics unexplainable traffic spike
Viewing this report **Behaviour > Site content > All pages **with primary dimensions of **Page ** and **Page title **are showing different results for one specific page on our site. We noticed a huge spike in pageviews and entrances to that specific page on our site. The user flow report shows traffic going through and from the page (in high volume) from other pages on the site which suggests that it's not the usual case of spam referrals. When I view the report above by page, I get unrealistic data. Over 600% increase in pageviews and over 900% increase in entrances. When I view by page title however, I get realistic results. Can anyone help shed some light on why these two reports will be different? Anyone else seeing similar issues?

Is there a way to find out who the admin of a Google Analytics account is?
We have a client who has been searching high and low to gain access to the GA account that is tied to their website, but previous agencies keep stating they don't have access. Is there a way to find out who the admins are on a GA account with the tracking number so we can reach out to that person and ask them to admin the client?

Why does Google Analytics think PPC traffic is organic?
I have a bastard of a problem... Google Analytics is incorrectly tracking PPC traffic as SEO which is screwing up all my reporting . I don't care for rankings, I care for actual SEO traffic and I can't be sure that what i am seeing is correct which is driving me nuts. Any ideas?
