Online proofreading service
-
We are mostly writing our own article but need a helping hand proof reading and putting the final touch on the articles.
Any ideas to online services offering this?

Thanks Ryan,
It's the part of my former life that seems to follow me around, so it's a good way for me to satisfy my overwhelming urge to copy edit everything on the internet!

Wow! It's fantastic to learn you provide this service Sha. I had no idea! I will gladly reference you in the future.

Hi Fredrik,
I took a look at the site you have listed in your profile - you might want to add an "s" to "cost" in the text beneath your logo
It looks as though your main problems are spelling, typos and the odd runaway train of thought!
I'm not big on shameless plugs, but will post this one anyway since the link actually includes a "first page or post free" offer for SEOmoz Pro Members.
The site is Little MisSpeller (apologies to anyone offended by the self-promotion). You'll find a short description of appropriate skills and experience there.
As Ryan mentioned, there are a lot of services out there and it is really a matter of finding the one that will work best for you.
Hope that helps,
Sha

Thanks for the great tips.
Lets say I produce the raw content, you know any good online service that can take that and apply your point 1 -4 on it?

When you proofread an article, the question to ask is, from what perspective? If I had my wish, every article I produced would be proofread by 4 people:
1. An expert on the topic being discussed. A doctor, attorney, accountant, web developer, etc.
2. An English teacher, or expert in the language being used.
3. A marketing expert. Someone who knows how to write with flair, engage the audience, properly use color and images to attract attention and influence your readers.
4. A SEO. The SEO would ensure your article focuses the proper keyword, uses the correct meta tags, the internal and external links are maximized, etc.
If your goal is to produce world-class content, then my recommendation would be to have someone review the content with all four of the above review areas in mind. The more people who can review your document, the more feedback you will get. You can certainly add #5 - your target audience to the list. They may think of questions or ideas which were not considered by the original author.
There are many companies which offer article creation services, and may offer proof reading services as well. There are also various tools which can review articles. One I like is: http://www.paperrater.com/

How does offline-to-online plagiarism work?
I'm in a situation where content is getting muddled up with my client. Explanation **Website A (client) **releases a press release offline; **Website B (third party news website) **uploads this release to their blog; Website A then uploads this release to their blog. Q1: Who will Google see as the original creator of this content? Q2: If **Website A **and Website B upload the content at the same time, who will Google see as the original creator? Any advice on these questions would be highly appreciated.

What are some good examples of content marketing done well for clothing online retailers?
Hello, I am working on planning for a redesign of a eCommerce clothing website. Looking for some inspiration on some good examples of clothing companies using their content well. The design does not have to be the best, it can be just very well done use of blog type content or video. Thank you in advance for taking time to respond!

Can anyone recommend a good reliable blogging platform for a small to medium sized manufacturing and services company?
I've been asked by my manager to investigate the best blogging platform for our company website. On a recent CIM course it ways suggested that Wordpress is not necessarily reliable. Could anyone advise? The blog is required to provide a space for current industry news, casestudies etc. It is also envisaged that the blog will allow comments. I've only got good things to say about Wordpress, but have only used the platform for my own small SEO company.

My Boss tells me personal narrative content isn't read online and bad for SEO, anyone else disagree? b/c I do!
I am in a constant debate that content 1st person or 3rd person doesn't make a difference in terms of SEO and what people on the web want to read. What do you all think? Does it make a difference?

Issues with copying online forum reviews on own website
Apologies- I asked a similar question the other day but did not word it as clearly as possible. We are looking at having a text box of 'What customers say' on our product pages using reviews written about us online (to remain factual) and wanted to know if this created any issues relating to search engines finding matching content on two separate websites? Will this have any SEO implications as effectively we are 'plagiarising' the content in the eyes of the bots even though it is just customer opinion of our own products right? Thanks in advance.

Video Hosting Service or YouTube?
We are considering using a video hosting service like Vzaar or Wistia for our videos. What are some of the SEO advantages of using a video hosting service rather than YouTube?
