Hi Dmitrii,
can you perhaps tell me the source, where you found the supported annotations above. Many Thanks
Hi Gianluca,
Thank you for your reply. In fact I'm refering to that exact region. The difference to your CH examples are though, that in Switzerland, the 3 language regions are not the exact same "location".
In my case they are though so I got a bit confused.
So basically Im not saying, a specific region in Switzerland speaks French, another German and another Italian, but I say the exact same location/region speaks German and Italian.
Hi Dmitrii,
many thanks for your reply. Great list, unfortunately I can't find my case. Though I think this list is not complete. E.x. I miss the the french speaking part in Italy for example,...
Helpful anyway though.
Hi everyone,
got a quick question concerning the hreflang tag.
I have a website with 2 different language versions targeting to the same region(Reason: The area is bilingual however not everyone speaks the other language fluently)
Question:
Can I use hreflang in that case like:
Many thanks in advance
Hi Imran,
Fluctuations in keyword rankings are quite common as the algorithm is permanently changing. So before getting worried I would wait a bit to see if you jump up again or not. Things you might consider in your case are; If you recently changed/optimized something on your LP it is natural, that your ranking drops at the first place.
Regarding you concern about your PPC spendings; This has nothing to do with your Organic Rankings and is def. not the reason for your drop.
Hi,
I'm not sure how advanced your SEO knowledge is but geotargeting on the Google Search Console in combination with the hreflang tag could be the solution for your specific site to appear in right search results.
I'd suggest to read through the following links to get an idea of what it is:

Hope this helps for now
Hi Dan,
Apologies for my late reply!
The changing URLs is nothing we actually set up. In fact we try to answer the exact questions you mentioned above:
Hi,
Have you had a look at related topics your (prospectives) buyers are interested about? A blog offers great opportunities in writing about subjects that are not directly related to your business.
Sum up: It might be worth to broaden your keywords and go away from your value proposition only (don't be to product-centric) and focus on the entire customer problem.
Hi everyone,
I got a tough technical SEO question, that is bugging almost everyone in the (ecommerce) company at the moment.
Due to a very "unhealthy" structure of Magento folders, with different countries using same folders in different store views, many of our URL's do change almost on a weekly basis and this is terrifying us.
What happens is, that there is a "-numberx"(ex. /category/product-1.html) added to hundreds of URLs so that we are more and more concerned about the impact on SEO.
I checked the redirect information with the Moz Toolbar and saw, the following information: http://prntscr.com/81v23e
So, even though we had URLs with /category/product-1.html, /category/product-2.html,... the redirect seems to go straight to the last number.
My question?
-Can this be interpreted as one redirect and therefore it is "less" painful from an SEO point of view?
-As we do not have a constant target URL, where does the link juice go if the target page constantly keeps changing (number goes still up)
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi guys,
thanks for your reply,
I'm asking because my BR for mobile is currently quite high (we have a mobile site version). The thing with closing a site on mobile is quite different to desktop as I think. Not everyone knows, how to properly close an app (e.x safari on iphone) for example. Really closing it, means double clicking on homebutton and shutting down the app.
If I think about my own behaviour, I never close a window on my mobile device (or very rarely). So if changing the app or clicking on the homebutton is a bounce, that bounce rate is not just affected by a site but more by the usage behaviour of a mobile device.
What do you think?
Hi,
does anyone know or have a link for me, where I can find, what or how a Bounce is defined for mobile devices?
If you are on safari mobile and click on the homebutton, is that a bounce?
If you are surfing and you get a message alert on the top and you change application, is that a bounce?
Any ideas are much appreciated.
Thanks
Another idea to track your offline conversions could be to set up an exclusive voucher code that can be redeemed over the phone only.
Cheers
Hi Paolo,
It is very likely(or actually proven), that Google considers GA data as well. So it could be, that engagement and CvR is relatively high. That many people are visting your competitors site without bouncing. It is not unlikely that Google interprets this in the way, that searchers are happy with what they find on position 1.
Another aspect might be the site speed. As you will know, it has an major impact on site performance and user satisfaction as well. Probably the navigation and internal links are set in a way, the crawler and the visitor expects them to see.
So to sum up: I truly believe, that your bullet points do have a positive impact on rankings and are accurate. Though as many other aspect are influencing rankings too, they are not a guarantee like. (Make sure to get all this points right and you will go to number 1).
One reason for relatively unoptimized pages to rank high is, that the keyword you're looking at has low or no competition. I checked adword keyword planner really quick and it seems to be the case for your term. If you've optimized your page and your content better matches the searchers intent (CTR and Engagement on your site will proof) than it is very likely that you will go up. Give it some time though.
Cheers

Hi Oksana,
I would start with analysing google SERP for the specific long tail keyword you want to rank for. This gives you a proper understanding of what the actual user intention is or rather what answer they are looking for. This insights give you a much better idea of how to properly use the (long tail) keyword you want to rank for.
I'm quite confident this 3 guides can help you out:
Generally speaking I would not focus to much on the keyword itself, but use it as a starting point, where you gonna build a topic around. Regarding the 4-5 pages you have: Use keywords wisely by building complementary pages with related topics/aspects rather than substitution pages with similar/same topics/aspects as you might run risk, to self cannibalize your efforts.
Hope this helps

Thanks Ryan. This is the answer I wanted to hear.
Hi there,
got a quick question regarding faceted navigation. If a specific filter (facet) seems to be quite popular for visitors. Does it make sense to replace
a dynamic URL e.x http://www.domain.com/pants.html?a_type=239
by a static, more SEO friendly URL e.x http://www.domain.com/pants/levis-pants.html by creating a proper landing page for it.
I know, that it is nearly impossible to replace all variations of this parameter URLs by static ones but does it generally make sense to do this for the most popular facets choose by visitors. Or does this cause any issues?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance
Hi Tim,
Thanks for your quick reply!
I'm checking it on Google Ad preview. Settings: domain: de; Language: German, Country: Germany.-
We had taken of hreflang due to some problems a couple weeks ago. Can this affect our facebook site as well?
Hi everyone,
got a quick question in regard to our Facebook page and its appearance on the Google SERP.
We have individual Facebook pages for every country and language. Unfornately the UK site is ranking in the German SERP rather then our Germany Facebook Site. The UK site is way older and has much more likes which most likely explains why this page is (still) outranking our, fairly new site (couple of months).
Is there a way, to push my German Facebook Site in front of the UK Site in Germany?
Any advice or tipp is much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi there,
a few months ago we had a new site launch. As we operate internationally, visitors in different countries do get redirected to the specific country subfolder. e.x. domain.com/it
Since site launch. Direct Traffic is performing really really well(almost to good to be true) while organic is doing decent but not more. I'm quite sure, that a part of direct belongs to the organic channel. Though now I need strong arguments to fight against our own web development team.
Do you have any suggestions, where and how I can find strong evidence of my hypotheses?
Thanks in advance
Hi Richard,
thanks a lot for your reply.
Let me clarify: productx is a final product page (not a category page with a variety of products). This means that my productx page basically corresponds to your /final-product example.
According to your post and the htaccess command mention, I assume, that it does not cause problems, if the URL shown in the browser does not correspond to the one, the user actually took?
So no matter if a customer comes to the final product page through 1) 2) 3) 4). The URL shown could always be 1) and thats fine. Is that what you ment?
Thanks in advance
Thanks for your reply Hector,
The way, the pages are structured on our site is the way 99% of ecommerce business have them structured so that is not the issue here. It's more the path itself that concerns me a bit.
Cheers,
Hi eveyone,
got a quick question about URL structures:
I'm currently working in ecommerce with a site that has hundreds of products that can be accessed through different URL paths:
2)www.domain.com/category/productx
3)www.domain.com/category/subcategory/productx
4)www.domain.com/bestsellers/productx
5)...
In order to get rid of dublicate content issues, the canoncial tag has been installed on all the pages required. The problem I'm witnessing now is the following:
If a visitor comes to the site and navigates to the product through example 2) at time the URL shown in the URL browser box is example 4), sometimes example 1) or whatever. So it is constantly changing.
Does anyone know, why this happens and if it has any impact on GA tracking or even on SEO peformance.
Any reply is much appreciated
Thanks you
