First, you need to check, that sitemaps, robots.txt, tags are ok, usually when you submit a site, not all your pages will be indexed, with the time the crawler will starting to index your site assuming that everything is good. As Gaston mentioned there are several reasons to be not indexed.

RE: Better use Google Analytics? This is for Conversion Rate Optimization purposes
What do you want to track in specific?
the search queries?
the site where they are coming?
how to improve your conversion rate? For search queries, you will need to set up some advanced features on GA.
For your source of traffic, start to implement UTM links will help you.
For CRO Optimizely is the best in my opinion of Google Analytics Premium
Tag manager is a good option too. -
RE: Crawler issues on subdomain - Need resolving?
1-My first question is why Moz is crawling a subdomain, usually, a subdomain is treated as an independent website. As an example take this 2 option blog.mywebsite.com/ andmywebsite.com/ this2 are a domain and a subdomain, Google Analytics, Moz, Search Console will see these ones as 2 independent websites so the error on one site will not affect second one

RE: What's the best way for users to upload their images to my wordpress site to promote UGC
So basically you want to add some kind of reviews plugins to your site, right? if that is the case there are several options. Assuming that you use WordPress.
Facebook Reviews Pro WordPress Plugin
https://codecanyon.net/item/facebook-reviews-pro-wordpress-plugin/19287534Google Places Reviews Pro WordPress Plugin
https://codecanyon.net/item/google-places-reviews-pro-wordpress-plugin/20255659?s_rank=2Yelp Reviews Pro for WordPress
https://codecanyon.net/item/yelp-reviews-pro-for-wordpress/15376445Also, you can use some local services such as Whitespark (I don't know if it works on UK)
https://whitespark.ca/google-review-link-generator/I found this article very interesting **Quick Way To Display Google Reviews On Your Website. **Also if you want to play with javascript here is an interesting script on Github http://peledies.github.io/google-places/

RE: Can Very High Impressions and 0% Organic CTR Impact our SEO Rankings?
First of all these the checkpoints that you need track
- You need to carefully check all your link-profile looking for spam links pointing to your site
- Disavow all those links with a high toxic score/spam score. Disavow Tool
- Check all the anchor text and queries on your Search Console, GA, Moz, Ahrefs, Semrush or any other tool.
- Also, start to think of creating some geo-IP segmentation on your server
- Try to find a pattern on the IP address of your visitor and block all the suspicious IP or even regions
Hope this info helps you to answer to your question
Regards and Good Luck

RE: What's the best way for users to upload their images to my wordpress site to promote UGC
Ok, I have been working with **FormCraft**mainly by its flexibility, also does not need to code it or make some complex configuration, another good option is to create a customer area that bright you more flexibility. In that case WP Customer Area. I worked on a few projects with it and works like a charm for small websites, so if you want to implement it on your business (dentist website) and create an area where your patients can share their experience, upload photos or whatever you want this is a great solution.
The link that I added is for the free version, but there is a premium version ( I did not try the premium version ) just give it a check.
Hope this info will help you

RE: Placement of /p/ in URL structure for ecommerce site product URLs
The search engines will recognize it, only if you tell it to recognize it. So if you're dealing with a small site I think the second option is better but if we are talking about a big ecommerce more than 100,000 product maybe 3 options is better

RE: Quick Fix to "Duplicate page without canonical tag"?
The new version of search console will show all the pages available on your site. even the no-index pages, why? I don't know, the truth is even when you set up those pages as no-follow and no-index it will keeping show you the same error. That does not mean that there is something wrong with your site. I would not worry in your case.
-
RE: What does it mean to build a 'good' website.
1 - Good Content, this is a very important point. Your content needs to be oriented to your audience, a good example of that "Backlinko" does not have too many articles but each one tries to be the best post in its topic.
Whit a lot of Images, Graphics, Charts, references and of course a good text. as a tip, I always use Hemingway Tool to evaluate the legibility and grammar and so on. (I'm not a copywriter)
2- Good Link Building Strategy, so your website needs to have a clear structure. Example if you promote a website of Chickens Recipes
This is what I would do
- Chickens Recipes
_ - Chickens Recipes for Christmas_
_ - Healthy Chickens Recipes_
_ - Grilled Chicken Recipes_A good webpage will include good internal links structure so every post has a link pointing to another post inside the blog. In the other hands, you will promote your articles with others bloggers who are related to "Chickens Recipes". The right way is creating content and then make some guest post in another blog pointing to your site.
3 - Don't forget the speed, with the Mobile First approach, you really need to care about the performance of the website, if you run on Wordpress avoid to buy themes on ThemeForest and avoid cheap hosting too.
For me is better to create my own design on psd and hire someone who can develop the theme for me. So I always try to avoid add a bunch of stylesheets, js and so on.
In summary
Good content, Good Links, Good On Page Optimizations and Good Performance -
RE: Different breadcrumbs for each productpage
Ok, I got it, so first how these breadcrumbs are generated? I mean usually, this will affect not your SEO but in some cases, plugins such as Yoast can create the breadcrumb and also the schema for that breadcrumb in that case you will have to fix the problem or delete them

- Raventools (best tool for reports)

RE: Subdomain 403 error
These are all for client errors. That means the page wasn’t found and something is wrong with the request. Whatever is happening though, the issue is typically on the client side:
403: Forbidden, So In your case, the first place that you need to check is your .htaccess and your Robots.txt file and make sure that they are not blocking any crawler or at least the crawler of your tools.
For example, some Hosting providers block all the crawlers that are not Google or Bing to save resources. So is usual that Roger (Moz Crawler) has problems to crawl a page that is blocked on the server side. Usually, Moz, Ahrefs, Semrush has this kind of problem so in summary
- Make sure your .htaccess and your Robots.txt is not blocking your crawler
- Make sure your hosting is not blocking your crawler
- If all the above does not work try to modify the user-agent of your tool
Hope this info helps you with your problem

RE: How to find trustful seo specialist?

RE: Will transferring my blog from blogger to wordpress benefit me economically?
Its very simple all depends on how you monetize your blog and how you can drive new traffic to your website.
By default migrate to Wordpress will require a dedicated hosting and some hours of maintenance a month and that means money. On the other hands, you will have more and better control over your site. You can apply some advanced SEO optimization
Such as schemas, site structure, performance and so on that eventually can generate or increase your income but keep in mind that the migration by itself will not produce any money.

RE: Does building backlinks help improve Google rankings? If so which links work nowadays?
So as the title implies does building backlinks work in improving the rankings in Google? At the end of the day, Google is just a crawler who follow and classify links/ web pages. Links still matter, what has been changed is the way Google evaluate those links but still are one of the primaries sources to Google.
But how about other backlinks that are of higher quality? Well build backlinks is one of the most time-consuming tasks these days on the SEO world, is not something that you make after ending the On-page optimization. In fact, in my case, it is a Full time tasks with its own budget, tools, schedules, providers, and calendar. So a simple example for that if I want to build a backlink for a page a do not just send an email for outreach ( that is for newbies) I have been built my own database with categories, tags, niche, topic, requirements ( every webmaster/blogger has its own requirements)
Tools and services that strongly recommend you
- Buzzstream or Ninjaoutreach
- The Hoth **** -----------> (Link Building Services)
- Authority Builders ** --> **(Link Building Services)
- Gotch SEO ** ----------> (Link Building Services)**
So if you have the budget and the resource the best way to do it is create the content lets take an example. You want to launch an article about "how to make money online". The first thing that you need to do is create an outstanding article ( minimum 3000 words ) and then create an outreach campaign about that specific topic this can be
- _How to make money with Upwork _
- How to make money with affiliate marketing
- _How to make money with Google Adsense _
So basically you need to publish that content on third party websites pointing to your target page "How to make money online" also to keep you safe you need to invest on social signals ( shares and so on) to give credibility to your site (trust). If you keep in mind all the budget required to do that, you will realize that is not cheap or a secondary tasks
These are some basic numbers
- Buzzstream payment --> $99
- Content Broker or Constant Content --> 20 to 50 per article (in the best scenario)
- Infographics or Media Assets --> 20 to 50
- VA for permanently or part-time outreach ----> Depending on the experience can be from 600 to 1500
As you will notice is not cheap or easy and if you want to make it like a pro you really have to start to see it as a project, not as a task.
If you don't have the money, the time or the resources you can use some of the services that I mentioned above such as The Hoth.
Another factor that you need to keep in mind is the competition level of the topic that you want to rank for. A local website for a plumber it's far easy to rank if you compared with an Affiliate website ( in weight loss) or a dropshipping website or even worst a Shopping website
Hope this info will help you

RE: How to find orphan pages
Yes I mentioned in my case I use Semrush and there is a dedicated space for that specific parameter. The easiest way to get your log files is logging into your cPanel and find an option called Raw Log Files. If you are still not able to find it, you may need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to provide the log files for your site.
Raw Access Logs allow you to see what the visits to your website were without displaying graphs, charts, or other graphics. You can use the Raw Access Logs menu to download a zipped version of the server’s access log for your site. This can be very useful when you want to quickly see who has visited your site.
Raw logs may only contain a few hours’ worths of data because they are discarded after the system processes them. However, if archiving is enabled, the system archives the raw log data before the system discards it. So go ahead and ensure that you are archiving!
Once you have your log file ready to go, you now need to gather the other data set of pages that can be crawled by Google, using Screaming Frog.
Crawl Your Pages with Screaming Frog SEO Spider
Using the Screaming Frog SEO Spider, you can crawl your website as Googlebot would, and export a list of all the URLs that were found.
Once you have Screaming Frog ready, first ensure that your crawl Mode is set to the default ‘Spider’.
Then make sure that under Configuration > Spider, ‘Check External Links’ is unchecked, to avoid unnecessary external site crawling.
Now you can type in your website URL, and click Start.
Once the crawl is complete, simply
a. Navigate to the Internal tab.
b. Filter by HTML.
c. Click Export.
d. Save in .csv format. Now you should have two sets of URL data, both in .csv format:
All you need to do now is compare the URL data from the two .csv files, and find the URLs that were not crawlable. If you decided to analyze a log file instead, you can use the Screaming Frog SEO Log File Analyser to uncover our orphan pages. (Keep in mind that Log File Analyzer is not the same tool that SEO spyder)
The tool is very easy to use (download here), from the dashboard you have the ability to import the two data sets that you need to analyze
If the answer were useful do not forget to mark it as a good answer ....Good Luck

RE: Setting up a remote business with their Google Business Account
I had a problem like that in the past, I needed to verify a location but I was in another city, so I request an alternative verification I filled up a form, 2 or 3 days later someone from Google called me to notify me that my request has been approved.
In that case, it was a hostel with several public profiles such as Booking.com and Tripadvisor so they easily were able to verify the information and location

RE: Moz's new Link Explorer, including our revamped index and DA/PA scores is now open to everyone!
Hi
I made some test comparing the new Link-Explorer vs other tools, I made a quick test and the results are impressive if you compared with the old Open-Site Explorer.
For the test, I had evaluated a site and linking domains
- Semrush > 12
- Moz > 223
- Ahrefs > 233
- Majestic SEO > 159
The results of the new Link-Explorer is equivalent to Ahrefs. It beat it to Semrush and Majestic with a big Margin.
-
RE: Could anyone help me with this fake site I found in my backlink profile?
I made the test with
site: store.yurbuds.com
site: http://store.yurbuds.comWith different results, but to the the point there's a clone of your site
This part is sometimes hard to understand because your site is being affected but not compromised. There is no need for a compromise for this kind of attack to work. The website that is stealing your results is the one that is compromised.
Let’s take a look at a few ways that we have to prevent and/or fix this.
- Make use of the rel=canonical tag within each page.
- Contact the owner of the compromised website.
- Find the WHOIS information for the cloned site.
- Set-up a Google alert.
- Block requests from the cloned site.
- Report copied content to Google.

RE: Subdomain vs Domain
thanks @seoman10 for your answer, the main reason of separate the website of the blog are our security policies and I have no control about it. IT and marketing are diffrent department in our company.
So in order the be proactive I proposed to create our blogs in subdomains, my plan is use the blog to create backlinks, post, content and infographics and related material with my audience.
But I want all the rank and the authority to main website.
Base in what you mention I will have 2 websites and all my effors will not impact my main website. So do you have any suggestion

RE: Google Search Console All Verfication Methods Failed
Ok this is your tag
In you case you have many options available
1.If you have access to your cpanel and your hosting, just dowload the verication code (html file available as an option on search console) you dowload the file and then upload it to your htdocs folder (www folder). IMPORTANT on this case when you finish to upload the file. Be sure that the HTML file is available to the crawler. Just type directly on chrome www.yoursite.com/theverificationcode.html if the browser shows you the page everything is right and then you should try to verify the website, if not maybe you have a problem in your hosting or in your htaccess file.2.As you mention you have problem with the html tag, on this case make sure that you are using the right tag, first check that the code is right or make sure that you are not using the code of other of your properties, remember that search console use a unique code for every user so make sure that is the right code (maybe in the website you are using the code of other person) THE IMPORTANT THING IS MAKE A DOUBLE CHECK TO THE CODE
3. I didn't found any Google Analytics Script, so first add the google analytics tracking code and then try to verify the property.

Nowadays all the CMS are very similar, so you need to check your database/
This is not an official solution but in your case, I will download the database, then open it with a code editor
and search the category that is making a problem look at the code, and then compare the code with another category that is working ok

RE: Local store (B2B) that produces high quality prints for photographers: are we adopting the right strategy?
Hi Cesare Marchetti
Continuing our conversation these are some of my advice
Make a list of these persons/business in your area
- Wedding Organizers
- Hotels with Event Rooms
- Purchasing Managers
- Photographers
Pick up the phone and call them, take their email address send to them your company's info, brochures, presentation or whatever you want
Of course, create a list, (here is when your email campaign and your remarketing makes sense)
Prepare a unique value proposition. I mean if you are in this community you are not a newbie on SEO, PPC or SMM (Probably you are not a Guru) but you can help them.
Create a list of blogs and website related to your business in your local area and reach them to make collaborations.
You can hire someone to create 20 articles related to your business and their business (I'm not a copywriter so prefer to hire someone else 10$ per article) the idea behind of that is not the link building (Great if you can) is help them and create a trust relation.
If you offer an outstanding service the price is not a relevant factor, right. Before that, you need to build that trust, the best way to do that giving them something useful for them.
The costs
$20 - A basic CRM $20
$200 - 20 Articles
? - Email Templates
? - Brochures (Printed)Hope will help you, my friend

RE: Dark Traffic Mystery!
Yes is simple, the traffic is not generated in normal way, have you ever see those annoying Chrome plugins, that insert ads in your browser? ok but that is just an example. I work with an ads network "exoclick" who use this url http://exosrv.com/ to send me traffic most of that traffic is generated by normal ads but in my analytics accounts shows me that url as the source of traffic
I guest they use that url to track the real source of that traffic and then send it as one main traffic source and of course charge me
Another good example is mackeeper

RE: Is Keyword Density Still Relevant?
Based on my experience "The Keyword Density" does not have a big impact on the rank performance of a web page.
Don't get me wrong you need your Keyword in Title Tag, Header 1 etc. But there other factors with a better impact and more weight than "Keyword Density"
1. Domain Age
2. Keyword Appears in Top Level Domain
3. Keyword As First Word in Domain
4. Domain registration length
5. Keyword in Subdomain Name
6. Domain History
7. Exact Match Domain
8. Public vs. Private WhoIs
9. Penalized WhoIs Owner
10. Country TLD extension -

RE: Best SEO practice for project galley (image gallery) ? I need SEO Professionals advice.
Hi Mishel
1. As Miriam Ellis is saying, there is a problem with the sliders and Im pretty sure that the problem is the ID of Master Slider (probably the shortcode is mistyped). 10 years working with Wordpress told me that
if you have received the message “Invalid slider id. Master Slider ID must be a valid number.”, you might have inserted slider shortcode with wrong slider ID, or after inserting the slider shortcode, you have removed the main slider from the slider list page.
2. The images wouldn't hurt your website as long you optimize the performance of the site, in your looks that you already worked on that. But 3.2 MB of weight looks pretty heavy.
By the way the ALT DESCRIPTION are mandatory mainly for your local seo efforts

RE: Best SEO practice for project galley (image gallery) ? I need SEO Professionals advice.
answering your first question
R.Yes will hurt your websiteWhy?
https://yoast.com/opinion-on-sliders/
https://unbounce.com/conversion-rate-optimization/10-conversion-killers-and-the-hacks-to-fix-them/Let’s look at some of the findings:
1. Only 1% of the people actually click on a slide, which almost always was the first slide;
2. Sliders confuse people, as you’re sending multiple offers they may or may not be interested in at once;
3. People simply ignore your slider, because it triggers banner blindness;
On that same note, visitors just don’t get the message because they will skip the messages in your slider as they consider it advertisement or promotions;
4. They slow down your site, negatively impacting your SEO and conversion rate;
5. Sliders don’t always work well on mobile devices;
6. They push down your content, which is not smart, as Google already mentioned in 2012;
It’s most probably as effective to use just one image instead of putting all that effort in slider plugins and images. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Over the years, many studies have shown that sliders should be avoided.

RE: Page Hierarchy Question
ANSWER Yes, your home page will be the parent of all 2nd-level pages and any other page no matter the level
Your site needs a certain structure. Otherwise, it’ll just be a collection of pages and blog posts. Your users need the structure to navigate through your site, to click from one page to the other. And Google uses the structure of your site in order to determine what content is important and what content is less important
Structuring your website is crucial for both usability and findability. A lot of sites lack a decent structure to guide visitors to the product they’re looking for. Apart from that, having a clear site structure leads to better understanding of your site by Google
The structure of your site should be like a pyramid. On the top of the pyramid is your homepage, and underneath the homepage a number of category pages. For larger sites, you should make subcategories or custom taxonomies (more on that later). Within the categories and subcategories, you will have a number of blog posts, pages or product pages.
If you’ve not yet divided the blog posts or product pages on your site into a number of categories, you should definitely do so Make sure to add these categories to the main menu of your site.
Your linking structure is of great importance. Each page in the top of a pyramid should link to its subpages. And vice versa, all the subpages should link back to the pages on top of the pyramid.

RE: Need help Taking my Site to the Next Level
Star a lead generation campaign, the option that you have installed is annoying and useless.
Does not give you any email or sell request or something useful. In our case, we increment our sells into 15% implementing a popup discount + car abandonment popup (optin) discount.
See our example
phen375.comTry to discover what your clients do when they reach on your website
-
Heatmaps are very good options (I will recommend you Crazyegg) in the other Hotjar is very useful too and have the option to record the sessions (very useful to see why your clients are leaving of your check out)
-
Implement a conversion rate optimization campaign
Optimizely, in my opinion, is the best option.
By the way, did you tried to implement schemas on your website? Is very useful for local optimization and it is FREE

RE: Best SEO practice for project galley (image gallery) ? I need SEO Professionals advice.
Focus
What you’re saying with a slider is basically: “I really don’t know which product or picture I should put on display on my homepage, so I’ll just grab 10 of them!” In that case, you really need to add focus. If you don’t know what to choose, how would your visitors or clients?
You should know what your own business is about and what product or picture deserves that front page spotlight.By focusing on the right (static) image or message, you will give people a far better feel of your business, and you as a person, than a slider ever could. Not in the least because sliders, as we’ve said twice now, are simply ignored in most cases. And a message that’s ignored hardly ever comes across (notice the sarcasm).
SEO and Conversion Rate Optimization
There is another reason why we recommend against sliders. Sliders push down your main content, plain and simple. In fact, most sliders we encounter in our consultancy these days, are big enough to fill out any screen. This means the content won’t even be visible above the fold. And this backfires on your SEO efforts, which we’ve already shown through the article linked in the list of findings above.
There’s not a CRO expert that will disagree with us on this: sliders kill your conversions. So simply having a slider on your website, will get you less sales than without that slider! If that’s not a deal breaker, I seriously don’t know what is.
Just combine the two and realize what a monstrosity the slider actually is. It kills your rankings and your conversions!
