LINK BUILDING. IN MAIN PAGE OR INNER PAGES?

I have a question about Link Building. What´s best for SEO, putting the links in main page or using a Link page inside with all the links?
I would also like to know what´s best for SEO follow or not follow links, and how they work?

Yes, I would like to exchange links with other sites, but if I put their links in my homepage (sidebar), in On Page Optimization it says I have too many external links, and it could be traduced by Google as a spammy site.
My question is if I should have a outletspain.net/links page in order to locate their links or should be in homepage?
Other question would be if reciprocal but follow links have any effect (Good/ Bad) for Google.

Can you explain your question in more details.
Are you referring to building links towards your homepage or other pages?
A rel=nofollow HTML attribute on a link tells the search engine not to follow that link & crawl the page.
"nofollow" links aren't counted by Google when they assign value to the page.

I received an invite from a company to enter a contest for a chance to win a prize. The contest is run by Rafflecopter. Rafflecopter looks interesting because you can place the contest anywhere including social sites and your own website. Contestants can increase the chances of winning in various ways such as an FB like, tweet, etc. The largest number of points (for this particular contest) are awarded for linking from your website to their website. Given that the contestant must add the link to their website and the sponsoring company can not control whether they use nofollow, couldn't this contest approach to link building cause problems for SEO? If the contest included instructions to copy and paste the html with a nofollow, that would seem like a better solution, but the only guidance given was to link to their home page. Your thoughts? Hi guys, If I found a low quality or spam link pointing to my site, but the link points to a 404, 500, etc (inaccessible, error page), Should I bother asking him to remove the link? Thanks

LInk Building Ideas for Large Site
Hi, I have a very large sized website of about 5 Million Pages. Earlier i used to rank very well with many naturally occurred links, But now, i lost my rankings with numerous Google updates. My content is user generated content and it wont be pure original as my users will post the same on other forums too. I all of my pages rank on #1 page for their keywords. Can anyone suggest me good link building strategy for larger websites as each url will have different keyword, i want all of my urls to be ranked well. Waiting for your replies.

Backlinking / Link Building Services
Hello, Our site is struggling organically and one of the key factors (not surprisingly) is a lack of backlinks. We have hired a content writer and are working on a content strategy to generate quality, relevant backlinks. But this is more of a long term project. After reviewing backlinks to our competitors' sites, it seems clear that they are using agencies or services to generate backlinks (most coming from low quality sites). I'm aware that this isn't a good long term strategy (although it seems to be serving them well at the moment). I was hoping the community could provide some insight on products or services out there that provide "safe" backlinking strategies. I don't want to do anything that is going to harm us in the future. I've read a bit on the hoth, and it seems fairly safe and potentially effective, but it's hard find much objective advice on the topic. Any insight is much appreciated - thanks in advance! Jason

Tagged pages showing too many links
I'm confused - seo moz crawl shows I have lots of pages with too many links. 150 - 200 or so. I'm not sure how any of my pages can have that many links and they don't appear to to me. Here's an example: http://www.musicliveuk.com/tag/wedding-entertainment They all appear to be 'tag' pages. These pages are blocked by meta robots anyway so is this a problem and how do I fix it? I also am very confused by rel canonical. I have 300 odd pages with this warning. Is this good or bad? Plesae help!

How much Link Building?
I'm wondering how much additional directory links to a site, on a monthly basis, would be too much, and potentially seen as too manufactured in Google's eyes. I am referring specifically to good quality, or relevant, directory links, nothing very spammy. I know there is no specific number, just wondering what the consensus is. Would a 10% monthly increase in linking root domains generally be considered too much? 5%? Thanks for your input!
