SEO for Wordpress

I am sure you have been asked this many times...
What is the BEST Wordpress Plug-in for SEO - Easy to Title Page, Meta Tags, etc... ??
Thanks
-
I'm not sure if Yoast is more complicated I have not used it - anyone with experience with both?
-
We use the following SEO Plugins for WordPress:
- All in One SEO Pack
- Google XML Sitemaps
- Inbound Writer (< This is great)
- Broken Link Checker
- Scribe SEO <- This is awesome).
- SEO Smart Links
I highly recommend Scribe SEO.
It's pretty cheap, but does a great job - especially if you have internal staff who write blogs for you.
I just tell me staff to hit 90%+ and then review the blogs.
And the all in One SEO Pack, is still without a debt the best SEO plugin for WordPress!

I have used Head Space 2 for yrs on several blogs and it has done a great job for me.

A few things I like about Yoast that All in one doesn't do:
- It has some minification options to help with page load speed - as well as integration with Google Page Speed.
- It includes an xml sitemap creator that allows you to include images
-
I use All-in-One as everyone is pointing out here. BUT I also use a tool that keeps me on track with my SEO called SEOPressor. It costs some cash but its worth it.
-
Yoast is pretty good but the last update seems to have stuffed up some sitemaps and stripping out the categories from url seems to create some issues as well. ( there could be an update soon that fixes those ) So just be careful of those thing when you have a 3rd party plugin to handle your onpage SEO .

If you're new to SEO I would recommend 'All in One SEO'
-
Wordpress SEO is the best. It truly is a "All-in-One" solution and I'm pretty sure you don't have to pay for certain features ?
-
I was using All-In-One SEO. I just switch to Yoast. It is very good. You can go wrong with neither.
-
I would strongly suggest Yoast (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/)
-
"all in one SEO" and "Yoast" are great plugins

Who uses WordPress Tags anymore?
Just curious if people are still using WordPress Tags. I wonder if with the direction Google is going the last couple years, having sites that get bloated with extraneous Tag archives just decreases the quality of the site.

Understanding Duplicate Titles in Wordpress
I have duplicate title errors in Wordpress and I cannot pinpoint the problem. I have my blog set up so that the home page of the blog has the most recent posts. In my campaign report somehow the page directory is being found and I can't find any links on my blog to those pages. the errors are on pages that are like the following www.example.com/blog/page/13/ www.example.com/blog/page/14/ I am using Yoast and I thought I had it set up correctly. The other pages have the correct title and canonical tags, but he urls ending with page do not, but the page directory is duplicating the home page title. How or where can i fix this issue?

Iframes & SEO
I've got a client that wants a site with all content in iFrames. They saw another site they liked & asked if we could do it. Of course we can technically. How big a negative hit would they take with SEO? Is there anything we can do to mitigate it, such as redirects, etc? Thanks for the help!

Duplicate canonical URLs in WordPress
Hi everyone, I'm driving myself insane trying to figure this one out and am hoping someone has more technical chops than I do. Here's the situation... I'm getting duplicate canonical tags on my pages and posts, one is inside of the WordPress SEO (plugin) commented section, and the other is elsewhere in the header. I am running the latest version of WordPress 3.1.3 and the Genesis framework. After doing some testing and adding the following filters to my functions.php: <code>remove_action('wp_head', 'genesis_canonical'); remove_action('wp_head', 'rel_canonical');</code> ... what I get is this: With the plugin active + NO "remove action" - duplicate canonical tags

With the plugin disabled + NO "remove action" - a single canonical tag
With the plugin disabled + A "remove action" - no canonical tag I have tried using only one of these remove_actions at a time, and then combining them both. Regardless, as long as I have the plugin active I get duplicate canonical tags. Is this a bug in the plugin, perhaps somehow enabling the canonical functionality of WordPress? Thanks for your help everyone. Robert Dempsey0 -
SEO-Friendly FAQ Software
Hi, We use Kayako Supportsuite (help desk and FAQ software) installed on our site and it's causing about 80% of all our SEO errors/issues. I've googled a lot and I can't seem to find a FAQ software (we need the ability to maintain and constantly update a large # of questions) that doesn't have duplication (print version, pdf version of each question, etc.), terrible URL structure and an overall very cheesy look. We don't need the helpdesk part, just FAQ functionality. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!
