Ranking effected by Penguin 2.0
-
Hello Everyone,
I am amazed to see that all the ranking of keywords got down after Penguin webspam algorithm updated on May 22, 2013.
Is there any suggestion how we will recover and get the ranking back.
Thanks
-
I agree with you if it is directly after Penguin 2.0. However many of the times this is a mixture were you ever officially manually penalized?
I can take some time later and go over your content for you and your structure of your website using scribe for your content and I will look over your general website structure however you could just run a campaign on SEOmoz here, and that will tell you a lot more about your website then I'm going to do tonight. I'm sorry I can't spend more time on the site however I will do an analysis of your content and I will check out your back links. I would use open Web Explorer to will get your own links look for directories, anything spammy what I mean is if you would not use that link to find what you're selling then it is probably not a good link. Remember to build for the visitor for the search engine by doing that you actually are building for both.

Hi,
if your rankings drop down after penguin 2.0 you have backlinks issues to resolve, not content issues at first place.
Greetings,

Thanks for this i'll check it out if there is any issue by this tool...

Hi Thomas,
I am agree with you there is no H1 tag on Home page but all the inner pages include H1 tags as well. so i thing this is not the only reason also as per this google webmaster guidelines structure of our website is good.
suggest me what about the content..?
Thanks

PS if you want to know the architecture of any website I strongly recommend going to
then typing in the URL of the site that you want to research. It will tell you what type of site it is sometimes the hosting provider, DNS a lot of information, and it's free.

As far as website architecture is concerned I would agree with Matt Cutts from Google he states WordPress gets rid of 90% website architecture issues
I know one thing about your site that if it is the same site that you have listed is an issue you don't have any H1 tags unfortunately without those you will not rank well. There is a possibility that if you add them you may regain your prior search results.
There is a list I found on Google Webmaster tools and hopefully this will be of some help.

But i unable to know that our websites architecture are as well and content on every pages will be valuable and informative with effective keyword and there phrases but i hit by this update why...?

hi,
Unfortunately, that's up into a ton of people. If you ever go to SEM Rush and type in some domains of once popular sites you'll see they probably took a hit.
Absolutely there is a way to come back from being hit like that. The best way in my opinion is to really step up content that is of an extremely high caliber.
Another example of things you can do make sure your author rank is good and that you're using it correctly with Google +
You might want to hire an SEO take a look at your entire site architecture definitely use a tool like scribecontent.com it will help you write so you're not as spammy To google.
There are quite a few ways of getting links that are organic and have the power to push you out of your slump.
This most recent update is by far the most harsh. my personal view is Google wants to stop this and destroy it once and for all. And there'd probably knock and stop any time soon until the best page ranks for Whatever the query.
you need to start collecting information and do original things I know it sounds stupid for me to say this and like generic advice. However I believe this is what you have to do. I would suggest longer posts and making sure they're not focusing on keywords simply focus on whatever the topic is and get the keywords about the topic out of your head and weight like you would if it was not being judged by Google.
I hope this was of help,
Thomas

Page Rank on Moz compared to Ahrefs
So there seems to be a huge philosophical difference behind how Moz and Ahrefs calculates page rank (PA). On Moz, PA is very dependent on a site's DA. For instance, any new page or page with no backlinks for a 90DA site on Moz will have around 40PA. However, if a site has around 40 DA, any new page or page with no backlinks will have around 15PA PA. Now if one were to decide to get tons of backlinks to this 40 DA/15PA page, that will raise the PA of the page slightly, but it will likely never go beyond 40PA....which hints that one would rather acquire a backlink from a page on a high DA site even if that page has 0 links back to it as opposed to a backlink from a page on a low DA site with many, many backlinks to it. This is very different from how Ahrefs calculates PA. For Ahrefs, the PA of any new page or page with no backlinks to it will have a PA of around 8-10ish....no matter what the DA of the site is. When a page from a 40DA site begins acquiring a few links to it, it will quickly acquire a higher PA than a page from a 90DA site with no links to it. The big difference here is that for Ahrefs, PA for a given page is far more dependent on how many inbound links that page has. On the other hand, for Moz, PA for a given page is far more dependent on the DA of the site that page is on. If we were to trust Moz's PA calculations, SEOrs should emphasize getting links from high DA sites....whereas if we were to trust Ahref's PA calculations, SEOrs should focus less on that and more on building links to whatever page they want to rank up (even if that page is on a low DA site). So what do you guys think? Do you agree more with Moz or Ahref's valuation of PA. Is PA of a page more dependent on the DA or more dependent on it's total inbound links?

Does the more number of ranking pages improve the website ranking?
Hi all, Let's say there is a website with 100 pages ad 95 pages are not ranking for any keywords; but the other 5 pages including homepage are ranking for some keywords. In this scenario, the 95% non-ranking pages does impact the other 5% pages rankings? Or every page holds their credibility in ranking irrespective of other pages in website? Thanks

Bad Grammar's Effect on Rankings
Mozzers, I have a client who's brand style guide dictates that they write in all lowercase letters. Do you think this will hurt rankings? Nails

A rating on report card - Massive drop in rankings (Is it Penguin?)
Hi All, I would really like a second opinion on my current issue and I'd be very grateful for the communities knowledge please . I have a been running a successful campaign for one of my clients, increase in natural SERP's, etc. But since the 24th of April they were hit and hit hard and continued to decline now. They had many top 5 listings for terms and now most are not in top 50 serps. Openly I know they have a bad or not great backlink profile which was inherited from the past agency, but we're working on this using white hat techniques, contextual copy, brand etc. The copy is a great, contextual and no where near spammy at all... Very nicely written, factual, etc. What I don't understand is this SEOmoz's On-Page report card gives an A rating for the target term which is also a secondary term but was ranking high. Factor Overview <dl class="scoreboard clearfix"> <dt>Critical Factors</dt> <dd>4 / 4</dd> <dt>High Importance Factors</dt> <dd>6 / 7</dd> <dt>Moderate Importance Factors</dt> <dd>7 / 9</dd> <dt>Low Importance Factors</dt> <dd>8 / 11</dd> <dt>Optional Factors</dt> <dd>2 / 5</dd> <dd> On-Page Keyword Usage for </dd> </dl> Title 1 URL 0 Meta Desc 1 H1 1 H2-4 0 Body 1 B / Strong 1 IMG ALT 0 Total Keyword Usage for this Page = 5 Fall from grace is SERP 5 to 25 and still going down. So the questions are: 1. Has this happened to you? 2. Could it just be down to their bad backlink profile which now needs much more attention? 3. Is this Penguin for sure? 4. What would you recommend? If anyone requires any further info please let me know and thank you in advance. Cheers,

Why have I lost rankings for my top 10+ keywords
Hello, As of 04/24/11 I have lost rankings for my top 10+ keywords in an extremely competitive market. I was ranking on page 1 in Google for keywords like: iphone app reviews, ipad app reviews, iphone app videos, ipad app videos, and more. Since 04/24 I have fallen off the first 10 pages + in Google for all major keyword & keyword terms. I have identified that I have 1,359 articles from prmac, which contain links to customers who published press releases through prmac. We are in the process of removing these pages, but creating a list of urls to prove to Google the possibly offending blog posts are gone. Beyond that I am not sure what else to do, please help. URL: http://www.crazymikesapps.com. thank you Mike
