How to promote press releases and guest posts
-
Hi, i would like to know what is the best way to promote press releases and guest posts.
We do a lot of guest articles where we write for other sites and we also do a lot of free press releases, but i would like the hard work to pay off and would like to know what are the best methods to promote these press releases and guests posts.
what I would like to do is to have our brand name come up a lot in the search engines.
any other methods to do this would also be a great help

Your first go-to resource should be your existing audience, but try going above and beyond on Social Media! Push out your content over the obvious social platforms where you've already built up a following. You can enhance this by tweeting to specific industry experts you want to grab the attention of, joining and posting in Google+ Communities related to your industry, as well posting in professional groups on LinkedIn. Good luck with your promotion efforts!

Hello there,
Also don't forget about Google +, that will help you

hi, thanks for that. Some of the blogs have do follow. What we are trying to do is to promote our brand by getting the articles we have written for other sites and our press releases appearing higher up in the search engine.
We spend a number of hours researching and writing the articles and do not want them to vanish, we write articles for other sites to promote our brand name.
At the moment we are already linking them from our site but we are looking at other ways to give the articles and press releases link juice and improve its position in google

Social Media is considered the best way to promote Press Release. Use Hashtag feature in both Twitter and Facebook to promote the posts to the target audience in similar field
Also, for guest articles - are these done in high quality blog sites. If its so, do you use anchor text and links and is it dofollow. If its yes, then may be you can also again use Facebook posting, Twitter and Pin it to get audience for your posts

Does google penalize you if you post content in french and english on a website
I'm trying to encourage content editors to only post content in either English or French. For example we have a French press release but the team are wanting it on our site in French and English. I thought this would fall under duplicate content rules. Does google penalize you if you post content in French and English on a website?

Updating Publishing Date on Blog Posts
Hi, We have been optimising and re-sharing old blogs posts from our feed. If we were to change the date of publishing on the posts in order to bring them to the top of our feed, would this have any negative impacts on the posts' metadata? Thanks!

Exchanging Guest Blog Opportunities - SEO Implications?
Haven't found a clear, recent answer on this. What are the SEO implications of exchanging guest blogging opportunities (in other words, we write an article for a partner blog with a backlink, and they write an article on on our blog with a backlink)? The partner site has a 57 domain authority and we have a 24 domain authority.

My first Guest post. Well, it's about quality!
I've started my new blog two months ago. I thought about two things: quality and authority. So, I started with high-quality content and let me tell you that based on my own experience, quality is the queen of all this. Now, my new blog reaches roughly 270 unique users each day that generate 811 daily page views (1% from Google, %0.3 from other search engines, 56% from social media, 28% from links, 14% direct, 0.7% spammy sites). Alexa Global: 1,238,771 Then I've started the author journey trying to write guest posts on high-quality blogs. I found that there're two options to do guest blogging. Writing an article medium-quality and keep the high-quality content for my blog. Or, providing a high-quality content under any post that comes with my name. I found a high-quality blog which may accept my article. So, I thought about the two options and then I decided to provide a very high-quality content and I did. The message which I received about my article was so amazing. I had some grammars mistakes and they said literally: "We didn't mind as much doing the editing since you put so much effort into providing our readers with excellent content!" I'm so happy really and based on this experience I recommend you to think about the authority more than the link. What will make you provide high-quality content under your name instead of keeping it only for your blog. Have an experience with guest blogging? Why don't you share it with us to help others as well?

Does it do any damage to post my blogs for marketing community websites on my own website too?
I'm blogging quite often for one of the biggest marketing community's in the Netherlands and I want to post these blogs on our own company's weblog too. Our own blog is meant for sharing professional know how and boosting our identity as professional web agency. But off course, we also benefit from it SEO wise. If I post these blogs on our own weblog, I have to add a link to the original article on the marketing community website. So, my question is: will that cause any damage for our own website?

Are post tags on blogs still useful?
Hello I have a number of sites on Wordpress which all still use the post tag feature. Is this something that I should really be avoiding due to duplicate content issues in the url's of the site, or is it still something that can help SEO wise? I only ask as I did a crawl diagnostics report on SEOmoz and it found that 48 of my title elements were too short due to these tags in the URL's. If you do all suggest I keep using them, should they be 3 odd words which are keywords? Thanks in advance.
