I need to hire writers.
-
Hi,
I have a lot of websites that I am currently developing. Does anybody know of a website to find writers that are for hire.
For example, I have websites that are focused on home related content, websites focused on the printing industry, websites focused on bugs...etc.
Is there a website that I can post or hire writers that have various focuses and expertise?
Any information or advice with this will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Garret

Zerys and Skyword are both decent options. Craigslist and Problogger can be good options as well.
No matter where you go, you'll want to hire a few writers and select the best ones to write additional content. Don't give a writer an order of 10 articles without being sure that they're producing good content for you.

I've used www.thecontentauthority.com and have been happy with their prices/quality of work and turn around time. You simply submit a request for an article about any topic you want, choose how many words it should be and the quality level and their writers get right on it. A 750 word blog post on a specific topic written by a "good" quality writer usually only takes 2-3 hours.

I read a number of articles and reviews on various sites for locating writers and although I have not used them yet, my current thinking is that ProBlogger is one of the better sites to find quality writers. They have a job board that is only $50 a month.

Believe it or not, you can get good writers from craigslist. I've hired some for a few pieces before. Granted, you will have to sift through some trash, but it's easy to tell who the good ones are. The good ones will have links to their published work, and then you can evaluate their work for yourself.
Good luck,
Ruben

I have never hire anybody to write content but I've seen Hubspot recommending some of their tools to hire external bloggers. These tools are Zerys and WriterAccess.
I'm sorry I cannot give you any insight of these tools, perhaps someone here had an experience with them and can share some comments.
Best of luck.

Lost almost all organic traffic. Need some help.
Hi Mozers. I blog about our son with Down syndrome (https://noahsdad.com) and you may remember me from this case study here on Moz. https://moz.com/blog/seventeen-ways-to-improve-your-blog-case-study I was getting close to 100,000k a month in organic traffic to our blog, then it slowly started to decline to the point where I am not only getting 3k in organic traffic a month. So basically I lost all of my traffic. I honestly have no idea what is going on or why this happened. I know everyone is busy but would anyone be up for taking a peak into my GA and search console and seeing if you can figure out what may have changed and why my traffic dropped off so much. Our website helps a lot of people so you'd be doing some good and it may even be a good case study post! Thanks so much!

We Just Found Out One Of Our Writers Has Been Plagiarizing - Now What?
I just found out one of the writers we employ has been simply copying and pasting content from other websites into our clients' websites. She's been doing this for about six weeks. We are going to speak with our clients to apologize and let them know that the problem is being rectified, but my question is how to best address this issue from an SEO standpoint? I know that the content needs to be rewritten, but those links are now six weeks old - is it best to remove them altogether and start from scratch, or just rewrite the content under the old link? Are there any steps that I'm missing to solve this?

What should I look for when hiring a blogger?
In the past I’ve made many mistakes when hiring content writers/bloggers, the end result is that my targeted traffic is no better off even after investing several thousand dollars in to it. I have a blog with 400+ posts, each being over 500 words of unique content yet my traffic is under 30 a day. I use wordtracker for my keyword research so I don’t think that is the problem. Instead of hiring cheap writers from eastern European countries I want to hire people that know what they are writing about, someone that is an expert in the niche, someone like Rand Fishkin and Dr.pete for SEOmoz, always enjoy reading their posts and that is what I want on my own blog. I always refer new writers to this post >> http://www.seomoz.org/blog/perfecting-keyword-targeting-on-page-optimization and have recently had someone complete 40 articles for $200, but this isn’t what I want. I want people to come to my blog, enjoy it, and be satisfied with what they have read. I don’t want people to read the junk I have produced by someone that has no idea what they are writing about. The Panda updates have affected me in a negative way so it’s now time to change. I have attempted to hire “good bloggers” before. $25 an article sound reasonable? I now felt like I was getting scammed which was maybe due to lack of direction as the articles I was getting were not satisfactory. Is it better to have a writer physically come and work in my office? Or is it ok just to pay someone by the article at the comfort of their own home? So the simple question is how do I find great bloggers?
