Blog commenting for SEO - Useful practice?

With most blog comments being no-follow, I was just wondering whether blog commenting for an SEO campaign these days was actually a worthwhile practice. Would love to get some insight on this.

You have to remember the point of your website is to communicate something or to sell something.
Commenting in relevant forums or blogs, with useful information, is always going to be beneficial as the quality of traffic will be high--even if the link is no-follow.
The most important thing is that you get qualified visitors.

If there is conversation going on in your market I would suggest you be there.
Michael Edwards list the benefits nicely.
You will be surprised the content ideas that arise while conducting conversation in your space if you keep your eye out for industry woes/pain.

I would suggest blog commenting has no real benefit for a link profile as it has been hugely abused.
However, there are very good reasons to do this with good authority, somehow related, spam free sites using quality comments.
- If no-follow they still give your link profile a natural mix
- Opportunity to develop relationship with the site
- Opportunity to write informative,authoritative comments to be seen as an authority
- Slight possibility for referral traffic
- still a small signal if part of a much bigger link strategy

Blog post back link
Hi, I am new to SEO and I am planning to hire someone in Fiverr regularly to submit different guest posts on the different related topic on the website with a good domain authority (>60) as a result to have some quality inbound links. As I am writing the guest post myself, May I know how many backlinks should I have per post are best for SEO? and should I only focus on anchor text backlinks? Also, here is my understanding of what I should be careful when hiring someone on Fiverr to do a blog post, please let me know if I am wrong and if there is another thing I need to be careful. It needs to be dofollow link It is permanent I check the website domain authority and spam sore that the person provides before using it. Please let me know if I missed out something. Hello, Can i create more blogs/websites 2.0 for SEO? It is safe to get backlinks from that pages (5-10 diffrent domains)? Blogs/websites like: wordpress.com, webs.com, soup.io... Content: Only unique content related to my websites, new content every week. My website realy need fresh backlinks so i think these method are alright?

Will this Blog Tool hurt our SEO
Hi, We have come across this tool that we are considering using for some of our blog posts. We will still continue posting our own post blogs weekly, we will just use this if we come across anything interesting. Our concern is it will produce duplicate content from other sites. We are very new to blogging. https://home.passle.net/ Will this hurt our SEO? Will it improve it? Or will it make no difference? All thoughts welcomed please. Thanks Andrew

Blog Comments
We all get them ... spam blog comments. People do it to get link value back to their site. Recently, someone approached me to do this for our site but on niche sites that are related to our content and to provide good valueable comments within a blog post of about 100 words each, and genuinely try to engage.They also were talking about finding blogs that have "follow" links in their comments space, since most do not. I still declined it because it is somewhat 'grey-hat' rather than 'white-hat' linking, and we want to be above-board on everything. Although we personally declined this approach, I'm curious your thoughts though on whether gaining links from blog comments from related, niche sites is a good idea. Like this question? When commenting on blogs and the only link you can have is your author name (Ex. Commented by Mike), what are you gonna have, a name, the name of your company or the keyword that you are trying to rank for? Thanks!

Hi i was thinking about to build auto blog website that will post about twice a day auto generated content related to my keywords that im trying to rank for. and for inbound linking, i will write original articles with a keyword anchor text, and will link to auto generated content for that keyword? so my question is: is it good idea to link from original content to auto generated?will it help my rankings ? Comments on VoltRank?
Hi gurus from SEOville. Have any of you used VoltRank and if so, have any comments about them? they make it sound like being better than a link exchange but then again sometimes it is hard to see past the marketing spin. Cheers!
