Bad to have "As Seen on" links sitewide

I've seen a lot of people saying that sidewide external links are a no-go. Does this also apply to links of a vanity variety? What I mean by this is "as seen on" links or links to awards given to the business? This intellectually seems okay to me, but I want to make sure I'm not shooting myself in the foot. Any evidence, case studies, anecdotal stories would be appreciated!

Instead of linking out to these other companies on every page of your site, consider making one big bragging page on your own site and direct all of those links to that page.
That should leak a lot less pagerank, a lot less traffic, and allow you to tell the visitor what you want them to hear. You can then link to these other websites from this interior page.

I had a Car Dealer Group in Virginia that gave itself a penalty because they had all of their websites (around 20) linked in the menu a couple times. Every time I removed them they would come back to the top of the search engines, and they would drop right back down when they added them back.
If you are worried about the site wides you could just nofollow them. I think Matt Cutts has a video on that.

Hi Moz! We are having issues on a number of our international sites where Google is choosing our page 2 of a category as the canonical over page 1. Example; https://www.yoursclothing.de/kleider-grosse-groessen (Image attached). We currently use infinite loading, however when javascript is disabled we have a text link to page 2 which is done via a query string of '?filter=true&view=X&categoryid=X&page=2' Page 2 is blocked via robots.txt and has a canonical pointing at page 1. Is it urgent to have fewer than 100 internal links on a webpage?
Hi, Our website is set up so that our top menu is on every page, which means every page is going to have around the same amount of internal links (225-ish). Is this an issue that needs to be fixed for our pages to rank, or is it only a recommendation that doesn't really impact SEO that much? If it is the only issue listed for a particular page, is there another reason that page might not be ranking even though it has a 99 score? Or is because of having 225 internal links? I have many product pages on my website that have a 99 score on the Page Optimization with the only recommendation being an info that says not to have too many internal links. My understanding is that internal links are defined as any URL on a page pointing to another part of the same root domain/site. So, for example, my page: https://www.twowayradiosfor.com/Motorola-CP185-p/cp185-lkp.htm has 225 internal links in the source code for that page:

Where do I go to fix this issue if I need to get to below 100 internal links? Do I erase the links, or set up a no-follow tag? I appreciate any help or guidance.

"Issue: Duplicate Page Content " in Crawl Diagnostics - but these pages are noindex
Saw an issue back in 2011 about this and I'm experiencing the same issue. http://moz.com/community/q/issue-duplicate-page-content-in-crawl-diagnostics-but-these-pages-are-noindex We have pages that are meta-tagged as no-everything for bots but are being reported as duplicate. Any suggestions on how to exclude them from the Moz bot?

Should I consolidate pages to prevent "thin content"
I have a site based on downloadable images which tend to slow a site. In order to increase speed I divided certain pages up so that there will be less images on each page such as here: http://www.kindergartenteacherresources.com/2011/09/23/spongebob-alphabet-worksheets-uppercase-letters-a-h/ http://www.kindergartenteacherresources.com/2011/09/23/spongebob-alphabet-worksheets-uppercase-letters-i-q/ http://www.kindergartenteacherresources.com/2011/09/23/spongebob-alphabet-worksheets-uppercase-letters-r-z/ The problem is that I now have potential duplicate content and thin content. Should I consolidate them and put all of the content from the 3 pages on one page? or maybe keep them as they are but add a rel previous / next tag? or any other suggestion to prevent a duplicate/thin content penalty while not slowing down the site too much?

To Many Links On Page
I'm having a problem on a crawl warning for our main site. The warning is that every one of my pages has to many links, a little over 1,000 on almost all of them. I think this is because our category list on our left hand sidebar has so many categories, and that sidebar appears on every last one of our pages even all the way into our products. Too many links on page has a state directory how do i lessen this?
I dont mean how do i take away links on the page but i know right off i am going to have at least 50 right off the bat and with my footer and menu bar and such im up over the limit of 100.
