Multiple Links from High Ranking Site Vs. Links from Multiple Domains - What's More Important?
-
I understand it is important to get links from many quality domains. Currently, I do have links from top domains (PR, Trust) and it I can get more from (high rank) pages on these same domains. Would it be better to focus on expanding my reach (find additional domains to link from) or to continue to build links from the current domains I have a connection with? What is weighted more? I realize doing both is important, but trying to figure out how to best use my time.
Thanks!

I'd rather have 10 links from the NY Times than 100 links from no name sites. That being said, if you could get the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, NY Daily News and the NY Post to link to your site, now that'll be valuable. Can you tell I'm from New York?
At the end of the day you want links from multiple trusted sites.

Thanks for the response.
So, you believe Is it better to go deep with a few top domains (e.g., many articles) vs. going broad with many high domains? For instance, by publishing more PR releases through PR web, I can get links back from many media providers.
I believe the sites I referred to are high-authority and pr value domains (e.g., major publications) where I can write and submit articles. I have the opportunity go deep with these domains (e.g.., write several articles).
Thanks!

In a situation like this, you should probably think very hard about the non-authority and non-PR value from the top domains you have already had some success with. In some cases, people choose to do guest blog posts or op-eds with one major publication, and this allows them to have an incredibly deep relationship with the editorial staff as well as the readers of that one publication, and this is a source of tremendous value for them and their website. Oftentimes, a deep strategy is the best approach, and it beats out lots of little, shallow victories. But this is all dependent on going deep in the right place.

Is too high a frequency of 'money' keywords backlinks considered factor for Penguin penalties, even if the money keywords are on reputable pages ?
Is too high a frequency of 'money' keywords backlinks (eg. a money keyword backlink for moz.com would be "Seo tools") a considered factor for Penguin penalties even if the money keywords are only on reputable pages, with decent PA, DA and trust ?

Domain Authority and Fixing the site
Ok, so let's say I have a page on my site that says "Find a Personal Injury Lawyer Boston" Obviously that is very competitive and it is hard to get links for. However somewhere else on my site I have an article that says "10 mistakes to avoid when making a will." In theory, if I can get links to the "Making a Will Page", that increases the domain authority of my entire site, and boosts the likelihood of ranking for "Find a personal injury lawyer Boston." Is this correct? Let me know and thanks for your help!

Angies List and Judy's Book and other sites
How much SEO weight do sites like Judy's Book or even Angie's List have. I do see the links in the linking reports but I am not sure if I should classify them as paid directories for inclusion. Also a second part of the question is do most of you still recommend the use of paid directories for link building? Yahoo Directory, BBB and so on?

Link building from keyword domains
Hi all, I am currently working on link building to our site http://www.betxpert.com which has a number of keywords I am targeting. I have become aware that domains with the keywords are available. We (in Danish) target the phrase "ekpert tips" and the domain www.eksperttips.dk is available. Would it be a good thing for us, to register this domain and do one of the following things: a) DNS forward traffic to our main site b) Build a small blog with minor content and linking to the main site with text links with the tekst "ekspert tips"? c) Simply do nothing, save the money and spend it otherwise... Hope someone can give me a sound advice. Best regards, Rasmus

What's the difference between follow and nofollow links?
I understand this may be a really dumb question and from my understanding there is a piece of code in some url's that tell search engines not to follow that link. I am interested in finding out what the purpose of nofollow links are and how they apply to search rankings. Thanks for the help
