Rel=author WP Plugin
-
Anyone find a WP plugin they like for rel=author and rel=publisher markup? I'd love to find one that gives and about the author at the end of a blog, and tags the G+ page on the end for rich snippets.
Does that exist??

So it looks like it hasn't been added to the Yoast SEO tool then huh?
Found this one to do what I was looking for. Works on top of the Yoast setup as well.

You need to add your Google Profile under your user admin settings on the top right. Then go under Contact and "Google Profile URL" add your URL there.

Yoast is a great SEO Plugin for sure, thanks for the feedback. I updated to the latest version and didn't see where I could add G+ markup for the authors/users on the blog. Also didn't see anything offhand in the forums.
Know where to go to add markup in the plugin?

I'm fairly sure that the Yoast SEO plugin has these features - which is a terrific plugin for Wordpress for other things as well.

Yoast WP SEO plugin has the ability to set a publisher URL for the site and each author can have their own G+ author link set up. rel=author/me setup
For the "about the author" at the end of the post, that is done via themes or you can install a author bio plugin.

Source? Google says having an author photo increases CTR by 15% on average.
I was listening to an interview with Rand Fishkin on the Eventual Millionaire: http://eventualmillionaire.com/rand-fishkin/ Rand said that Google says that having an author photo increases click through rate by 15% on average. I am trying to find the original source of this information. Has anyone know the source of this stat?

Domain authority dropped a lot in last month
I thought I'd asked this earlier but it seems to have disappeared. My client's domain authority has hovered at around 42-46 for the past 6 months. But in the past month it has dropped 6 points. Organic search traffic is up, no keyword rankings have fallen, external links are up slightly, but not massively. Competitors remain roughly the same DA although theirs are only around 14/16 anyway. What should I be looking for as to the cause?

Is it redundant to include a redirect to my canonical domain (www) in my .htaccess file since I already have the correct rel="canonical" in my header?
I've been reading the benefits of each practice, but not found anyone mentioning whether it's really necessary to do both? Personally I try to stay clear of .htaccess rewrites unless it's absolutely necessary, since because I've read they can slow down a website.

Creating Authority and choosing URL's
Creating Domain Authority and choosing URL's: A: What is better if you want to get higher Domain Authority? Choose keyword.domain.com or www.domain.com/keyword when other sites link to it? B: And for Page Authority? Choose keyword.domain.com or www.domain.com/keyword? Thanks!

Image URL's have knocked my sub-pages down (WP)
I had most of my keywords within the top 10 for this site, some were even ranking in the top 5. For a possible minor boost, more-so to cover all the bases, I decided to add images to all of the pages, and they were uploaded as a gallery with most of the image file names being the same as the keyword. Thus, url's were created with our targeted phrases, extending off of the corresponding sub-page. After that, Google quickly picked up the url's to the images and began indexing them, when that occurred the sub-page which was to be the landing page, quickly tanked. Nothing else on-site changed besides the uploading of the images, so I'm sure they're conflicting and for whatever reason Google can't decide which page to index. The page that contains the images used, or the actual intended landing page. With WP I didn't see a way to not have them link to anything at all, and just be static when using a gallery, stock at least. So, my question is how can I quickly alleviate this problem and what should I do in the future to avoid this? I believe if I change link thumbnails to image file instead of attachment page, that should fix the issue... Then, I'll have dead URL's which I suppose I should 301 to the sub-page. Alternatively, is there a better solution that will work, I was also thinking about no-indexing the attachment URL's, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
