Hi Muhammad,
I agree with EGOL that links used to have a much higher value than they have today. But still, they are one of the key things one needs to take care of while doing the SEO.
Though I am not a link building expert, I found a useful detailed piece over internet that you may find interesting. It talks about the link building tips and strategies. Check it out here
I hope it helps:)
Please do share your learning on link building if you find some good tips (Obviously other than this post ).
Thanks,

I believe that links used to have a much higher value than they have today.
Today, Google has a lot of information from Chrome browsers, SERP analytics, personalization, visitor engagement, content quality, content relevance to the query, and much more. These can be used to craft a customized search for the visitor. These ingredients in the ranking mix are growing in importance.... and they displace some of the value of links in producing rankings.
I posted about this on Moz eleven years ago and have not "built" any links for over a decade.

Muhammad, while we cannot predict the future of link building, we can actually concentrate on what works. Link earning, earning your links by posting and creating good content on your website, is what works now and what will work in the future. If you post good content that others want to share, then others will share it and do the link building for you. That's link earning.

HI Muhammad,
What you're asking is really impossible to know.
My input here is that Google isn't just about great quality content and some backlinks. It is about many other factors, check what Moz have said: Ranking factors. My opinion about linkbuilding is that it will never die. Although it will be mutating constantly, always towards better and more natural links. Since 2012 spammy links are deprecated and penalized by google.
The best advise is always to focus on content, so as backlinks come natural.Hope i've answered you.
Best luck.
GR.

When domain a buys domain b (whose links direct to c), does domain a has links redirecting to domain c ?
Hi, I really need to know what happens when a company or domain (a) acquires another company with domain (b) with its links pointing to yet another location (c). Does company a then have redirects to c?

Hitting a brick wall with link building!
I am working on a new home furnishing e-commerce site, and started a couple of link building campaigns. Specifically, I have started a scholarship campaign with outreach going to schools, and a broken link building/content outreach campaign. With both of these campaigns, I am targeting .edu domains first, and some high value blogs in that niche. I am hitting a brick wall with both! These are both the types of campaigns I have tried before, with some degree of success. It seems that the webmasters have been getting so inundated with spam that they simply ignore emails. Does anyone have recent successful experience with these link building methods? I would appreciate any advice on current link building methods if anyone is willing to share. TIA

Are We Doing Link Building Right? Do Certain Links Actually Matter?
I've been thinking about this as I go through my daily link building activities for clients. Do we really know as much as we hope/think we do about how Google values inbound links, which links actually matter, and how much these link signals play into rankings? For example, does Google REALLY value the fact that a business is paying to sponsor a local sports team, or to join a local chamber? For local businesses, link building is rather difficult because they don't necessarily have the resources or ability to implement ongoing Content Marketing initiatives to earn links naturally. How can we be sure that the things we recommend actually make a difference? I had my family real estate business featured in almost a dozen articles as expert sources, with links from authoritative sites like Realtor.com and others. Does Google distinguish between a profile link on a site like Realtor.com vs. being featured as an expert source on home page news? Just second guessing a lot of this today. Anyone can to share thoughts and insights?

How Many Natural Links Do You Earn?
Hello Mozzers, This is a bit of an open ended question and I don't think any one person is going to be the same. I have recently seen the light in my link building practices and I am trying to get a feel for what to expect in terms of natural link acquisition in an effective content marketing strategy. My question is how many natural links do you generally find yourself earning after the first 12 months of content creation/placement with a new website/industry? I know this is going to be a question with a multitude of different answers. I look forward to your valuable insight as always!

Link masking in WordPress
in Wordpress, I want to block Google from crawling my site using the primary navigation. I want to use anchor text links in the body and custom menus in the sidebar to make maximum benefit of the "first link counts" rule. In short, I want to obfuscate all of the links in my primary navigation without using the dreaded nofollow. I do not want to block other links to the pages - body text, custom menus, etc. . This would be site wide. I'd rather not use Ajax or any type of programming unless it's part of a plugin. Can anyone make a simple, Google-friendly suggestion?

Link Building Question
Hi, I have a 2 month old blog with me, i have submitted a few press releases for the start, later in these 2 months, i got about 40 guest posts, which i've written and submitted at myblogguest site. My niche is in health. Currently my serps are at 16th page which is not a good position. I want to do more link building, but at myblogguest, no one are interested in my niche and don't want to publish content related to my niche, so it becoming hard for me to find guest blogs related to my niche. But i want to get more links in order for my blog to rank well. Is it ok if i write guest posts in other niches as well like technology and put a link in author's resource box? Does it become useful? please help as i find no other sources for my link building task, i tried researching for guest blogs in google also, but i don't find any related to my niche. Seems like, i cannot go further with my link building. Please help me. Thanks

How fast is too fast in building quality links?
So I'm working on a brand new project, and want to go after my competition rather aggressively. I have a long list of industry resources, including blogs, articles and directories, and several news/media/press release type sites that I could have link to me in a very short amount of time. How fast is too fast? Is there a penalty for getting links too fast if they are all legit?
