80% bounce rate
-
Hello, I have a website that I have worked hard in developing and have tried to create useful content, however I am getting an 80% bounce rate. Can anyone give me some feedback as to why this might be?
The website is www.usconstructionloans.com.
Let me know your thoughts - thanks!

If your businesses bounce rate is high, this can negatively impact your organic seo.
We had high bounce rate for our Bristol summerhouse business, until we reworded the pages, improved the on page seo, improved the design, then the bounce rate decreased. -
Hi. If you are purely creating useful content then it is likely that content pages will have a high bounce rate because visitors will arrive, consume your content and then leave. You need to give a clear call to action for them to do something else on the site.

@nadylime As per the analysis, this issue is due to lack of quality content spamy backlinks. You have to increase the backlinks from relevant and high authority websites as well as promote your website through social media channels. Post informative content on your website. I was also facing this issue on my website https://www.magazinesworld.org, and get some guidance through moz academy, now my bounce rate is 45%. You can consider both the things as mentioned and reduce the bounce rate.

Do the clickable images on pages are bad that they will increase bounce rate and distract users?
Hi Moz community, I'm trying to get some helpful answers on this. We are planning to employ clickable images on our website pages which opens in new tab if users click on them. This is to make sure that they can see the large screenshots of our product. I wonder will this increase the bounce rate and drop the rankings. Please share your experience and guidance on this. Thanks

Vat conversion rates (UK)
Does anyone have any evidence about the impact of displaying or not displaying prices including VAT on your website on conversions? A client wants to show prices excluding VAT so the prices look competitive with their competition who also display excluding VAT (20% UK sales tax). I have explained that the sudden 20% increase to the basket cost will put off a lot of customers (even if all prices are marked as excluding tax) but they will not listen. We have previously displayed both prices but this looked messy and customers got confused. What I really need is some research that shows what the impact of doing this is (ignoring the fact that it is not even allowed by HMRC). Any thoughts welcome!

Bounce rate vs main domain and subdomain
So there is a website www.domainname.com that is based on wordpress. Basically this site has 8-10 pages but it is not a blog. And it has a subdomain mystore.domainname.com which is based on magento. While developing the site the circumstances were such that we had to use a subdomain for ecommerce based on magento. So the wp site is ranking and people are landing on that site. It makes sense when it has a bounce rate of around 72% because people are actually going to the subdomain ( store ) after they land on the wp site. Because they are actually looking to buy. My question is will this bounce rate affect in ranking of the wp site ? Because for now only the wp site is ranking for most of the terms. Should i consider removing the wp site and have the whole site based on magento ? I appreciate any kind of feedback and suggestion 🙂

Any General feedback or Experience on Page Titles and Click Through Rates ?
Moz, I have managed to climb onto page one for a couple of keywords i am really happy with, Just looking for any feedback on page titles and different effects on CTR The page i am working with is product pages I tried a simple headline which was a branded product keyword, this way when the keyword matches the user search it will stand out as the the majority of the title is bold because of this match,, Example below <title>Jeffs<strong> Lollipops</strong></title> and my other option is to look at testing a more descriptive title to fit the limit <title>A selection of sweet Strawberry and Cherry<strong> Lollipops</strong> from Jeff<//Title></p> <p>has anyone looked into this and tested for results in CTR ? i can see there being a youmoz about it somewhere?</p> <p>Alot of people i assume will just say test test test, but any feedback on how other moz users tackle title tags for CTR would be great,</p> <p>Thanks</p> <p>James</p> <p> </p> <p> </p></title>

Track bounce rate per PPC keyword
Hi all Wondering if anyone could give me a nudge in the right direction with this please. When running an adwords campaign is there a way in which one can track the bounce rate on the landing page per keyword sending paid traffic? I've had a play about in adwords and GA and couldn't find the right option. The site I am sending traffic to is not a ecommerce site so cannot set up conversion tracking so we are going to monitor the bounce rates of different keywords and drop the ones which are bouncing much higher than others as it seems better to invest the budget in those words which are keeping people on the page for longer. Many thanks Carl

How important is Conversion Rate Optimisation?
Silly question I know but just wanted to talk about it, more of a discussion then anything. How important is CRO to you? Anyone have any stats before and after? Cheers

Can fun, slightly unprofessional text be good for conversion rates?
I operate on a freemium model. The three plans are currently called "Free", "Gold" and "Platinum". Besides being incredibly square and boring, these titles are also meaningless. I'm doing a slight redesign of my site, and the new (unreleased) site has a very fun, playful feel. I'm also trying to make everything more streamlined and obvious. I'm considering renaming the three plans "Boring Amateur", "Kick-Ass Amateur" and "Bona Fide Professional" on the registration page and simply "Boring", "Kick-Ass" and "Professional" elsewhere. There are lots of places on the site where I have to refer to "amateurs" vs "professionals" - these tags would make that easier to explain. Easier = more sales. What do you think about using unprofessional text like this? Is it too risky, possibly offending too many people and losing sales? Or is it a good eye-catcher? I know the best answer is "test it." But this is one of those changes that I don't want to have to put my users through too many times. Thanks for any thoughts!

Low conversion rate, high ticket item... but not THAT high
Oh great mozzers, I fall at your feet... I feel like I'm going insane... My client, 35 Degrees (http://35DegreesSteaks.com) is quite the mystery. I handle SEO and paid search for them, and we're doing great in those areas... however, we're just not seeing the conversions once I deliver these folks to the site. The people are targeted, the keywords are sound, and from what I can see, the checkout process isn't a mess... but they are just not getting the sales. We're currently starting to test some price points with some newer, lower cost "intro packages", so we'll see if that's one of the pain points. I'm also in the process of convincing them to include a Verisign or some other logo in the checkout process. However, I was hoping the great minds here could take a quick look and see if I'm missing anything else. Thanks in advance! Jeff
