Unsolved GMB along with Company Name & URL Change
-
Our company has been purchased. As part of the rollup, our company name will change to theirs and our website will be removed with all web presence being a basic landing page.
I am looking for ideas on how to minizine the huge SEO losses we will have soon.
I plan to focus on local SEO starting with GMB. Any other tips or direction?

Congratulations on the company acquisition! Managing the SEO transition is crucial. Your plan to prioritize local SEO and Google My Business (GMB) is spot on. Additionally, consider maintaining social media presence, updating online directories, and redirecting old web pages to the new landing page for a smoother transition.

@jgoethert That is a huge change for your business, if you are not only rebranding but also losing your website. Sterling Sky has a good checklist for rebrands here: https://www.sterlingsky.ca/rebranding-your-business-checklist/
I am curious regarding the role of the website in this. If the GBP (formerly GMB) listing is going to be pointed to the new owner's website, it will be their domain authority which underpins the listing's rankings. If, however they are going to continue pointing the listing toward the downgraded old website, that's a big problem. If that's the case, you will want to be sure that permanent redirects are being put in place to pass as much ranking power as possible from the old pages to the remaining home page. The company should definitely be investigating all of their SEO options to protect the strength of the brand they've acquired, insomuch as it can support the visibility of the overall new brand.

Unsolved Multiple business locations
Hi we run a Cardiff fencing company, but we also want to appear on Google for another city called Newport, do we need two business addresses, or is it just a matter of creating two separate pages on our WordPress website for the two cities? we want to be on the first page of Google.

Unsolved Our SEO agency has substantially moved back within Google’s SERP’s, but we can't figure out why.
We have followed the guidance of [Google EEAT] and Google’s Webmaster Guidelines. However, our [Cardiff SEO company] has moved back substantially in the SERPs; the links and content marketing are good, yet we substantially back on Google’s SERPS by over 30 places and we have no clue why. We don’t know why; we are an SEO agency with over ten years of SEO experience, we never have had this happen to us, and can't figure out why our business has moved back to Google. If there are any SEO experts here, we would appreciate your help. We called Walsh and Partners, we are a white hat seo company based in Cardiff, South Wales, any help we would be so grateful.

Unsolved Search results good, map results nearly nonexistent
I'm happy with where my site is showing in the listings, but rarely shows in the map results. This is even when the results for the same keywords are great. Google listing is complete, and map + knowledge graph show correctly when I search the business name. I'm not sure what is causing this, and how I can fix it. History - the website has been online for years, but the local Google listing was only optimized this year, back in May. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Verifying Google My Business After An Address Change
Hello,
Local Listings | | Ben-R
We are trying to verify our Google My Business listing, however, the current unverified listing is using an old address we no longer have access to. The only option for verification is through the mail. We tried requesting an edit but it didn’t go through. Would the best option be to create a new one and try to have the old (unverified) listing removed? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Merging two companies and the directories
My company (x) is about to merge with another company (y) to become xy... As part of that, I'm thinking that Moz local is going to help with changing the name of the company in the directories. If I sign up as company x to change the listings to xy... will I need to sign up a separate account with y (with a y e-mail address) to change the listings to xy also? I would like to kick off the process a few days before the effective merge date when xy goes live. Thanks, Stu

We've imported keywords for a campaign & I've noticed a few typos is it possible to correct the typos? Or do I need to delete them & start over?
I'm importing sets of keywords that I've added locations to. Then I'm setting tags based on the city so I can pull a set of 15 keywords for each local market. I've noticed a couple typos that are now coming back to haunt me because I can't find a way to edit the typo without deleting the keyword & starting from scratch. When that happens I need to individually tag the keyword to 60 different locations. (I've spotted 3 typos (ugh - I wish I'd checked those more carefully before). I'm looking for a way to edit the keyword phrases but see how I can do that.

Updating a Business name only in Moz Local.
My clients business changed their name. When I updated the CSV with the new business name in Moz Local it created a brand new business listing. Is there a better way to update only the business name?

Google+ & Yelp Listings not recognized by Moz Local
I've been attempting to get a client's local listings all cleaned up using Moz Local. When I first did a scan, the Yelp listing was there but with an incorrect address. I uploaded all the data via CVS file successfully about a month ago. I logged into the claimed Yelp profile as the owner and made my adjustments. Now, the Moz Local tool says there is no Yelp listing and it's also reporting that there is no G+ page. Can anyone explain? Thanks!
