Google Places Citation Differences
-
Hi All...
I know its important to get citations the same in terms of company name, address, phone number and URL but how dissimilar can they be before this causes problems with Google Places?
One of my clients has citations with very minor differences to the correct address i.e.:
2a such and such a road
when it should be:
2 such and such a road
I cannot see duplicate listing for the company.
Anyone got any ideas / experience of this?
I don't want to suggest changing them all if its not nessasary?
Cheers in advance.
Justin

Greetings Justin,
Thanks for coming to Q&A with your question, which is a good one. Chas is correct in that Google is fairly sophisticated about handling slight differences, but when it comes to the accuracy of your address across the web, I beg to differ. I would put in the time to make sure that ALL mentions of your client's address are consistent across the Internet. Little stuff like 'road' vs. 'rd.' doesn't matter, but I consider suite numbers to be an integral part of the geography of the business and would recommend you correct any listings that don't state it properly.
Hope this advice helps!

Minor differences such as a suite make no difference - company description, city, and ZIP should be consistent across all local listings - Yelp, Bing, Yahoo, Trip Adviser, etc.

Google Fetch and Render - Partial result (resources temporarily unavailable)
Over the past few weeks, my website pages have been showing as partial in the Google Search Console. There are many resources/ files (js, css, images) that are 'temporarily unreachable'. The website files haven't had any structural changes for about 2 years (it historically has always shows as 'completed' and rendered absolutely fine in the search console). I have checked and the robots.txt is fine as is the sitemap. My host hasn't been very helpful, but has confirmed there are no server issues. My website rankings have now dropped which I think is due to these resources issues and I need to clear this issue up asap - can any one here offer any assistance? It would be hugely appreciated. Thanks, Dan

Is it bad for international SEO to redirect CcTLDs and install Google website translator plugin to the primary domain (UK)?
We've bought lots of country extensions, e.g. .es, .fr, .in, .me, etc. Rather than employing translators, will it be acceptable for SEO to install the google translate plugin to the site, and 301 redirect the country extensions to the .com address?

Is Google Knowledge Graph in Other Countries?
Hello, I have a website that receives international traffic from all over the world. A lot of our keywords that we go after unfortunately show up on google knowledge graph. I'm curious to know if KG is showing up in the google search engines for other countries for the keywords that my site goes after. Is there anyway to actually perform a test to see? Thanks!

Best way to prevent "Duplicate Content" for different links
We are working on job portal domain. As we know jobs going to be expired day by day. I will give you my question by example. Example: I have two links [mysite.com/Jobs-In-Cincinnati and mysite.com/Jobs-In-Atlanta]. Before month I had too many jobs on both the links. Jobs were expired one by one after two/three months I don't have any jobs on both the links. So I got same page content on both the links like "please refine search". Google consider these two pages as duplicate content issue. Will you please suggest which is the best way to come out from it? Thanks in advance.

Different Data Center Affecting Listings
I have a client in Phoenix that is completely dominant for every targeted term. However, he is

dominant for those terms everywhere but in Phoenix (where we want him to
be). (NOTE- this is organic, not affected by local/hybrid). I realize there are different data centers, but these results have been like this for three weeks now. Does anyone have any ideas on why this is occurring and if so, suggestions on how I can get the results in Phoenix to
match everywhere else in the country?0 -
