Hello,
Yes I have picked out a name registered it with the state and federal trademark (I used LegalZoom I have used others and LegalZoom might be slightly more but I like it they give you a lot for your money.) Blueprint Marketing LLC
The company name is now changed from QuiZick Internet Marketing to Blueprint Marketing LLC
I want to thank you much for your words of wisdom. I also would really like to know more about how it applies within SEOmoz things such my MOZ URL. And e-mail address profile and whatnot. Should I change those out I guess without worrying about any problems?
Thank you kindly for the wise words. I did get the old site to rank for local keywords but as the domain was less than 90 days of age. Many of them penalized by Google sandbox pretty badly as it had no Moz rank whatsoever. This domain is 10 years of age I will move/migrate it to Dyn DNS for a 10 year term to get in Google's good graces as when I purchased the domain it gave me a single year or registration even though it is old I would rather not lose this one as the contest for the logo will be finished by the end of the day tomorrow (I used 99 designs) some pretty amazing results we got over 200 submissions then switch my host from Media Temple to Single Hop so when my site is finished by the end of the month I will be extremely happy. Right now we have the site being built by somebody recommended by SEOmoz I am unfortunately not a designer. I think after reading so much on video lately I am going to sit this one out with the same player on SEOmoz & HubSpot I'm using limelight right now and honestly I got to looking at prices and they want way too much in comparison to what you get from these other video companies. Please let me know what you think of my name change as well.

Have you already picked out a new name? If you have picked a new name and solidified your branding, then the main concern is keeping the value of your old domain. There are two steps you can take:
1. 301 redirect your old domain to your new one. During this process try to ensure all redirects happen in 1 hop. Each redirect leads to a loss of link value.
2. Contact the source of any external links and request they update the URL to your new domain so a redirect will not be necessary.

Please let me know if you need anymore information primarily we are changing company brands names everything and websites so it's all for the better but any tips would be outstanding

It's hard to pick your exact question out of that long paragraph. I would imagine that's why you haven't gotten any replies.
Could you briefly summarize in one or two sentences what your question is?

A problem when our brand name is searched
We have an issue in that when someone enters our new brand name "68 degrees creative" into google.com.au, the following results show: http://postimg.org/image/8x2id4ta9/ The second result is the Linked In page for Hiroshi. This is a person that was part of our old business but is no longer part of the new business (68 degrees creative). And therefore, his LinkedIn profile should not be appearing for this search as he has nothing to do with the new brand. In his LinkedIn profile, he has made no mention of our organisation 68 degrees creative. He also does not feature on our website: www.68degrees.com.au. We can therefore only conclude that the reason he is appearing for the search "68 degrees creative" is that Google has somehow connected him with the new organisation due to previous online ties and relationships which Google has determined by virtue of that associated him with the new organisation. We are ultimately unsure what their algorithm is in establishing this. Is there any way in which we can change this? We don't want his LinkedIn profile appearing when our company name is searched when he has not part of the company. Any help here would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

A competitor has a search term in their brand name - Can we outrank them for that search term?
Hi Mozzers, I have been putting a lot of work into ranking for a certain search term. We have managed to get our homepage to #3 for that search term. #1 is a comparison site, so I am not overly fussed with beating them - we probably won't. But we do want to hit #2 and in all fairness, we have better content and have put more into our SEO efforts than the current #2. I think they are ranking so strongly because their brand name is exactly that search term with the word "go" in front of it. Google even spits out their extra links under the result as if it was a branded result. I know EMD's don't hold much weight any more so I'm guessing this is all to do with their clever brand name choice. My question is, can you outrank a competitor like that? If you're selling wooden rocking horses and your company is called toybox.com for example, but your competitor is called GoWoodenRockingHorses and their domain is www.gowoodenrockinghorses.com, can toybox.com ever outrank them for the search term "wooden rocking horses"? Hope this makes sense, please private mail me for more info if you need it! Cheers, Jamie

Should the Facebook page be just the brand name or also include keywords?
Hi. Do you recommend that a company's Facebook Page be just the Brand Name, or should it include some keywords in the title?

Can we publish two guest posts on one domain with same pen name but different linking website?
Can we publish two guest posts on one domain with same pen name but different linking website? Actually I have been doing guest posts with pen name “Jane Andrew” for “abc.com”(bit old and well performing website). Now I need to post for a new website “xyz.com” on some old domains (where I have already published my articles) so the situation is that I want domains and pen name to remain same but linking website would be different. I had few questions in my mind regarding that and I would be grateful if you help me getting the required information. Is it right from SEO, branding and marketing point of view? How Google interprets this? Is there any harm for the old well performing website or for the new one? And also both websites are owned and managed by the same owner.

Best image size for FB Timeline updates?
Does anyone know the best size for images that are uploaded to FB timeline? For instance if I make a meme, the worlds seem to always get cut off when they show up on people's timelines, or view them for their phone. Any thoughts on this? At first I thought square worked best (and looks like it does if you visit the actual page) but for people viewing on their phones or their own timeline (maybe?) it looks like they are seeing a 4:3 image. Is the image size that people see not universal? Thanks!

Law Practice SEO with Multiple Lawyers
I am working with a friend of mine who is a lawyer. He has one partner and a couple of other lawyers at the firm. The attorneys each have their own Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin ,Youtube and other social media accounts. I am trying to create one brand, which is the name of the law firm. Question 1: It would make sense to me to create all social media accounts under the law firm name. Would you agree on this? I'm worried that users wouldn't use the company facebook page if they are used to communicating to the attorney through their personal accounts. Maybe I should put the social media links for the firm on the home page only and then put the individual social media links next to the attorney profile page? Question 2: The firm has been posting Youtube videos but under one of the attorney's names. I have 16 new videos they want posted and they asked me if they should be posted to a new company name channel (yet to be created) or post them under one of the attorneys accounts? I think that most attorneys might look out for themselves ahead of the Firm. If they ever change jobs, they don't have a built up social profile if everything is listed under the firm name. Maybe the way to go would be to help optimize both the attorneys personal profiles and then the firm? Thoughts?
