Suggested Link Builder and Brief
-
Hello I am looking to do some link building to get a clients site up the rankings. I would like to utilise the cheaper fees of an SEO in another country. India or somewhere Does anyone have any good references. I can see some good ones on O-desk. $6 dollars per hour. Also does anyone have an example brief/spec that would allow to to communicate key aspects? Thanks James

Hi.
I'm running out of ideas of ways to build DA apart from links to be honest.
I undercut taxi firms (with masssive overheads) by supplying best price airport taxi runs out of kent. So my competition is generally local taxi firms with basic holding pages.
heres' the site. http://cheap-airport-taxis.com/
I can't see any other way to increase my DA from 19 than to employ a link builder to go a get links. I would ask them to report on on the DA and PR of the links and record where the URLs are so I can check them.
But with little value in hitting blog sites, directories now (as I understand they dont pass PR) what option do I have really? I cant get link aquistion from local government agencies ect as they prefer to promote the bricks and mortor style taxi firms.
Don't see what options I have left to build DA to be honest. A link builder seems the next logical step as long as I can track where im getting links from.
If you can tell me another 5 things I should do to build DA i'm all ears. I know link building is sneared upon but surley there is value there with what I can figure out - on page optimisatioin is woirth about 20% and the rest is basically linking...

If you decide on hiring a link builder with a low service fee, then make sure that to know all the strategies, tactics or methods that they will employ to increase the rankings of a client's site. The last thing you want is to have an angry client complaining that the cheap SEO you hired has damaged the site's rankings or incurred penalties due to manipulative tactics.
A cheap link builder can be useful if one does not have a lot of time to execute a plan to get high quality links. It would be better to create a solid plan to increase your client's ranking using great content, natural linking methods, and building an online brand. Then perhaps one can hire cheap help if you need an extra pair of hands to put the plan into action. Keep tabs on the affordable SEO you hire to ensure that he or she sticks to the plan and does not use any short cuts to earn quality links for your client's site.

James,
It sounds like you're looking for an unnatural black hat strategy. As mentioned by the other people who answered the question I would suggest maybe putting that money in a content strategy. Remember that when it comes to black SEO, it might seem cheap and easy to get links, but if you want something to last for awhile content creation that's evergreen is the way to go.

I would not trust cheaper SEO's across sea's, they will often just use automation software and build un natural links. I am sure you can find a hand full that will legitimately build links such as sharing pieces of content from your websites & also content that they write. I would put your funds into content creation and come up with a strategy to get that content seen. Post to all social networks, and then use some of your content to specifically do guest blogging.
I would make sure each website has its own Facebook page, Twitter, Google+ & Maybe even Pinterest. You can also share your content through websites like Reddit, Digg and even Squidoo.

Are you looking for hire a link builder from India?
That is most likely not a good idea, majority of freelancers on Odesk and Freelancer all have grey hat or black hat link building. They spam lots of links to your site on other domains and this is not good for SEO. And at the end of the day it could damage your site.
I suggest you focus on a building great content and connecting with individuals within your niche to get links.

Contest to generate link building ideas?
Basically, I am looking for new ideas for inbound link generation - WHITE-HAT (merit based links) for the car insurance vertical. E.g. Creating infographics, and promoting them to blogs/news sites. To clarify, the other site is only linking to me because I have something they like about my site, and choose to link to it (so things like guest blogging and directories do not work here, at least in the conventional sense). There are tons of seo blogs that give advice on how to get links, but either: 1. I have already tried, or hired someone, to do them. Those that I hire are specialists (I have hired lots of reputable companies that most people know here, but they always slow down after a few months/years in terms of link volume; 2. Many of the popular methods just don't work in my niche: Take for example one of the more recent ones: skyscraper" method. I really dont think it works in my niche. It only works in niches where "information based content" is vary valuable, like SEO, not car insurance. It is also hard to scale this. 3. The link topics sometimes get too far off-topic. E.g. Links from travel websites is probably not going to work; even car topics can be off-topic wen they get too gimmicky. So my idea is to start a contest here where I basically award the best link building idea $1000, $5000, or whatever amount that would get enough people participating. These ideas have to be relatively proven, and scalable. If it helps to know my background, I am very seasoned at SEO. What do you think of this idea? How can I improve it? Has this been done before (I am not talking about a general SEO contest).

Are you affected by the Gov't shutdown or is it just your .gov links?
With the shutdown came the take down of sites such as http://www.usda.gov/ and even: http://nsa.gov/ (even though http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/nsa.gov says its up UPDATE: now down). Those .gov links might not be worth as much (pun somewhat intended) But here comes an actual question as I was thinking about this, I am really curious... Did your SEO efforts suffer in anyway due to the government shutdown, or is it too early to tell yet? PS Isn't it also interesting that Google's homepage is choosing to celebrate Yosemite's National Park 123rd anniversary when all National Parks are to be closed in our nation? Tfe85nN.jpg

Is there official Link Balance profile advice (anchor text) from Moz?

LinkSmart Raises $4.7M to Dynamically Change Links
LinkSmart is a startup trying to put a new spin on link management by providing a platform to dynamically change links. They just raised $4.7M, and TechCrunch posted a quick blurb on them here that is worth reading. In short, the application will allow a site owner to change all of the text links on their site in real-time. The idea is that this will help improve click-through rates, optimize traffic, etc. How do you guys see this from an SEO perspective? It seems a bit scary from an indexing standpoint if links are never consistent. Also, the flow of link juice will be inconsistent. Any thoughts?

"Links To Your Site" In Webmaster Tools
How often does Google update the "links to your site" data. It seems that it has been static for about a month now even though we have made a lot of changes Does anyone have any idea? If you have made changes to your links (i.e removed links, updated anchor text, etc.), do you have to wait for this information to be updated to measure the impact? Or is that whenever Google crawls those pages/sites and sees changes there is a adjustment. Thanks

How do I "link" up with USA based SEO's
After 28 long years of wait this year I finally made it to the United States of America. I grew up on "The A Team" , "Knight Rider" and Mcdonalds cheese burgers from 2 years onwards. I am as American as a English person could possibly be. It wasn't until I arrived in Florida and spent two weeks in the great country that I understood the difference in the minds and mentality of people. People were nicer ! People on the whole had a can do mentaily. If your a success people congratulate you for it . Unlike the UK.... Plus people were not scared to make a fool of themselves... (People jumping up and down at traffic lights with advertising boards) Now to my question - I loved it so much I want to go back and I figured me and my wife and 3 year old may have a extended break next time where I can work on vacation maybe over a month or so. I would love to get to know as many SEO's and people based in the USA as possible please and introduce myself etc. Hey who knows maybe SEO Moz can change my future (fingers crossed) Thanks to all the people that get in touch !
