After watching Rand & Dharmesh's The State of SEO and Internet Marketing in 2012 webinar, I've been trying to learn more about the (current and potential long-term) impact of Google+ on SERPS and ranking. How can one leverage Google+ to improve SEO? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Just giving an opinion that might not be representative of websites in general....

In my industry people don't know anything about google+.

So you can leverage your ass off but if nobody is on the other end of the lever then you just wasted a bunch of time.

I'd like to create YouTube videos since they can be a good way to rank for certain keywords. So I'd like to find a way to QUICKLY know which of the thousands of keywords I have are most likely to result in a first page result for my video. Google+ pages in search results

I have a simple question - I've read a lot about how google+ pages are ranking well in google searches, and that it's a good idea to incorporate google+ into your strategy. So I was on a call this morning, talking to a client about this. The client brought up the fact that in all his google searches, he's NEVER seen a google plus page in the search results. I realized that I never have either. After some searches, I still don't see any google plus pages, at least not on page 1 or 2. Am I missing something? Needless to say, the client was not convinced about the value of having a G+ page, and I came away not sure what I was missing. So how do people measure the impact of using google+ on their main website? -Jim

Share post on google plus profile VS google plus page?

Hello friends, I have a website, linked to my google plus profile and google plus page of the website. But after reading the post http://moz.com/blog/google-plus-correlations , something is not clear for me... To gain some seo benefit when I share a post, Should I share it on my google plus profile or in the google plus page of my website ? BTW, Its better to gain more followers to my google plus profile or to the google plus page of my website? Thanks...

Why dont we get G+ profile images in SERP?

Hi! We have a blog on our Swedish Car site. We have around 10 bloggers that blog frequently for us. Most of them have a Google+ profile and has added us to the "contributes to" field. We also have a rel=me tag on each post. Still after serveral weeks, the Google+ profile picture isnt showing up in the search results. Google+ Ranking Factors - Are Keywords meaningless ?

Hello Mozers! On the Conversation Marketing blog, Ian Lurie published a lengthy article called Google Plus Box Ranking Factors Report. In it, he claimed amongst other things, that "Keyword relevance of your posts: Totally meaningless. Write whatever you want. Seriously. Just make it good." What say you? What can Google tell from a video?

I notice that Youtube apparently does kind of an automatic transcription. What can Google tell about a video? Is it comparing text from a voice recognition transcript? Can it take compare the waveform of a video signal and see how different a video is from another video? I'm putting together a variety of videos that are similar for different pages and wondering how much do I have to change for each video. I remember one time I attempted to launch a video that was an exact copy but with a different file name, title and tags and Youtube said, "hey, that's the same video!" Thanks!

Does shared content affect rankings?

I've noticed that when logged into Google, content shared by people within my social graph is being identified by a "(name of person) shared this". And, content shared by people not within my social graph (but people who have a Google+ account) is being identified with their picture. My questions are: Is this "(name of person) shared this" content showing on first page of results because they're in my social graph. Or would this content have been on 1st page regardless of whether it had been shared? Why is google identifying who is sharing content when they're not in my social graph? Thank you!

How much weight do Twitter Lists carry in Google's determination of user influence?

I have come across a number of Twitter users that have 1000+ Followers, and they typically follow 1000+ people. I've noticed as of late that many of these people are found on fewer lists. I also know that many twitter users are selective about who they actually allow in their main twitter stream and therefore create lists to manage who they follow. Any thoughts on if /how twitter lists contribute to a user's authority and/or influence from the SERP's perspective?
