Suggestions needed on link building campaign...
-
Getting links has become very difficult task for me.
Recently i have started a website on Depression and Anxiety.
My campaign steps:
1)Hired a doctor to write stuff on my website.
2)After that we did 100 more articles for article marketing.
3)Submitted content to top article directories.. All links to only 1 anchor (domainname.com). I haven't promoted my domain with main anchor anywhere.
- DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO
Can anyone suggest me some link building methods so that i can do Good SEO for my new site?
-
I would suggest not to over do any one kinds of link building. Like you mentioned 100 more articles for article marketing. I woud continue to build quality content instead.
Are users interacting with your content ? Can you do a listing in some other authority websites ? Look into the possibility of some info-graphics in the Depression/Anxiety niche.

To add to Rebekah's usefull suggestions. Recently I have published a free eBook. Searching for "Free eBooks" and similar returns plenty of sites that solicit submissions, many of which will include your link be that to your site or to the page on your site the free eBook can be downloaded. Some of them say they are "authority sites" and according to Open Site Explorer have Page rank of 70 and above such as free-ebooks dot net
Although writing a decent eBook is time consuming and takes work, it seems easier to get accepted so long as its a subject area you are competant in an it doesn't look spammy. Judging by your subject area this looks like an approach you could take.

Some ideas...
Create a resource list of important information for people suffering from depression/anxiety. Include suicide hotline numbers, a checklist like "warning signs your friend or family member may be suffering from depression", links about the different types of depression, create a quick quiz people can take "Do you suffer from depression?" , how to talk to your doctor about depression, - etc.
Create an area where people can submit first hand experiences about dealing with depression/anxiety.
Create a "friends and family" area so people can learn how to help those they care about,
Contact authority sites that deal with these issues and share your resource list.
Find a lot of statistics about those disorders and write up a report/detailed post about your findings.
Find bloggers who write about their struggles with depression/anxiety and interview them.
Create badges people can put on their website - like breast cancer awareness, but make new ones for depression/anxiety awareness.
That's all from the top of my head.

At What Point Are We Doing Too Much Link Building?
Hello Mozzers! This is a question that has been gnawing at the back of my mind as I learn more and more about link building. Historically, we have offered scaling package sizes with larger numbers of backlinks hand-built each month. We do this so our packages are very tangible for our clients. Our packages range from 15-100 backlinks each month. As I learn more about how to build links PROPERLY I am finding it next to impossible to keep up. I feel like we are definitely going the wrong direction in that regard. What are some of your thoughts on this? Thank you in advance for your valuable advice and support, Moz community!

What are your link-building strategies?
Link-building seems to be the biggest SEO item that still remains foggy to me. I was wondering what this community's thoughts and strategies are around in for your own personal projects. I think if I can hear some real life success stories, it might make more sense to me in the long run. Anything, good or bad, is welcome!

Is there any link building value to design showcase websites?
I am interested to hear people's opinions on this. We are launching a microsite that is for branding purposes only, no real SEO strategy beyond optimizing for branded terms on it. However the design of the site is strong in my opinion. I think it could get picked up by "sites of the day" websites, showcases, galleries, etc. Would there be SEO benefit of in being featured on those sites since they tend to be curated lists of only the best sites and therefore editorial links? Or is there danger of those not being seen as quality links that could get you into trouble?

Better link building is hardest to achieve in 2014
In a simple words. My site has good quality content not copies 100% original. Have good social points more then 500 or twitter, fb, g+ (200) and now what to do with ranking. should i start linking, but where, please don't refer me any-page. As my thinking all old link building method are now died, like comment, rss, classifieds, footer links, directories. etc At this time i am thinking the powerful link building is hard to achieve in whole process of seo. Now any one tell me where do i start, linking to my site .....? (I also research on competitors but there links are all from contextual and linking domain sites DA is more then 70, and i can't even able to get one link by scraping more then 200 sites.) Thanks .

Does a hashtag link pass the same amount of link juice as a link without a hashtag?
Example 1: link to: http://www.domain.com/#something-inside-the-page Example 2: link to: http://www.domain.com/

In light of penguin - what are your thoughts on widget based link-building?
Hi all, I thought it would be interesting to see if people's perceptions of widget based link building have changed. By that I mean - Do you think it's ok to give somebody a tool to use oon their website with a reference to the creator of that tool or will that count as 'manipulative or unnatural' link building? I'll start the discussion off by saying... I think this type of link building is ok and legitimate as you are merely referencing the creator of the tool whose widget you are using on your website. My only caveat would be to ensure that the anchor text is not manipulative but relevant. Looking forward to hearing what you all think about this as I'm sure many people maybe put off by doing this.

Please critique my link building plan
Hello, Here's my revised link building plan for nlpca.com Let me know if I'm off or missing anything. 1)Identify a list of competitors that are strong enough to have good backlinks (probably about 15 in our industry Look at top content for top competitors and see what type of content is being linked to. build infographics for each area we want to target based on top content Using OSE, analyze competitor backlinks and decide which sites might link to the infographics and which sites might just link to us if we asked them (our site is already an authority). In this step we would also expand the backlink analysis to include sites on pages 4-8 Only choose link aquisition for sites based on the following criteria: Age A lot of unique content A clean site Backlinks going to that site Facebook followers Which of course means high search engine rankings Publish infographics and do outreach
