Does anyone do seo on their twitter pages

Hi, i am just wondering if anyone does any seo or anything with their twitter page to gain more followers.
I have justover 19,000 followers and since launching the twitter account we are getting about 500 followers per week and i am just wondering if there is anything we should do to improve this.
I am not sure if we should be putting keywords into our twitter page or anything else to let people know about our twitter page.
any advice would be great.
also, when we set up our twitter page we decided to use the following twitter name
@2celebritynews
just wondering if you are allowed to change this at any stage as we should really have got the twitter page of @in2town
if it is not possible to change it then maybe we will need to start over again

Hi Diane, Good to see you already got so many followers which is not an easy thing to achieve. Well with Twitter, Your name under the Profile Settings and your username are taken as the title tags for your profile. With profile image use, your brand name or keyword as filename. Actually, Twitter will automatically use your name under the Profile Settings as the ALT tag for your profile image as well.
Optimise your twitter bio info. Applications like FollowerWonk pull out the keyword info from your bio and feed them to their users.
Make sure you use hashtags with keywords which are high search volume or most efficient keywords in your niche.

Hi Everybody : how can you tell if the content on the product pages are accessible by google ? please have a look at my product page : http://www.fireplaceproducts.co.uk/stoves/aarrow-stoves/aarrow-ecoburn-defra-wood-burning-stove/ i used classes in product page to set the key features, construction ,... i notices other companies done these as text and they get better ranks do you think that's the reason ? also to test that i added the text exact same as the key features , construction ,... as additional information at the end of the product page , would you thin that would be considered as duplication ? I publish a link roundup on my company blog on weekdays.

How do you use a blog to help SEO.
Hi, So you launch a blog on your website, fill it with lots of great content and update weekly with more great content. From what I know your looking to gain 2 things! 1. Users linking back to your blog and 2. Sharing the content on social networks. Building up social lists on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ etc so when you do post something new you have a hub of users to help push your post by sharing it on social networks which should also help to generate more backlinks. Is this the main purpose of a blog for SEO? Would anything else apart from the above effect the SEO for the site? Maybe the freshness of content also has a positive impact! Also if your blog is picking up lots of links, for this example lets say 100 links a month and the rest of the site outside of the blog is picking up 10 a month will the blogs power of picking up links effect the rest of the sites rankings, would you need to anchor text link out of the posts in the blog to make the most out of it? In past I would write blog posts and link to a static web page. The link from the blog post to the static web page would be the same keyword(s) as the web page was optimized around. With the latest Google updates, it seems like the keywords linking to the web page need to be varied, but I'm not sure what the ideal system would be?

Will building up the page rank of a page you have a inbound link bring any benefit?
Right then here we go You have a link in an article on a well known national newspaper site that points at your website. Is there any benefit of linking to the newspaper article in order to build up the PR of the article page and therefore passing over some link "juice"? Sub questions 1. Would it be more beneficial simply to gain links to your main website? 2. What are the chances of the article going into the archives and then at some stage being deleted? 3. If the article link points to a domain, which then forwards to a another domain will this pass on any "juice"? 4. If the article points to a domain that then 301's to another domain will this pass on any "juice"? 5. Does Google simply register the link and "juice" on the first pass or will it revisit and upgrade the "juice"? 6. What are the negatives? 7. What are the positives?
