Ranking report problem
-
Hello,
I have two things that I'm a little concerned.
- Ranking report is not working because all these keywords were on google first page but the report is showing the calendar sign
- Crawl results, I just went from 5000 warnings and errors to 4 in two weeks. It seems a little crazy
-
Matt,
Can you send me a email at help@seomoz.org. I want to take a look at your crawl results too, makes sure to let me know which crawl your results came from by letting me know the campaign
I will wait for you there!
Peter

Hi there,
That definitely looks interesting. I started a ticket for you to go over the issues in a little more in-depth. Roger is definitely acting a little strange, I want to take a better look at it to see if this is an issue on our end. Once you get that email if you could go over what you were seeing before vs. now, I could give a better response on what is going on.
Hope that helps,
Peter

Well in that case I think Roger had a lazy week indeed! Hopefully it will be fixed soon!
-
Yes, I did some changes, but I don't think that the changes were that good to cancel that many problems at once. I'm wondering the overall reliability of SEOmoz services, because both ranking and crawling are all off.
-
Yes, the keywords were already in SEOMoz since beginning and they were all in 1st page on the report.
-
This week's crawl results were a little crazy for us too.
We dropped to 1 error (-171), and to 48 warnings (-538), yet most of the issues not reported this week are still most definitely there. I guess roger was having a lazy week?
-
About the rankings: did the tool show rankings for those keywords before? If so, I would write SEOmoz support to help you out (or wait until tuesday to see what happens). If those keywords are recently added you'll just have to wait until the new update.
The drop in the errors in huge indeed. Do you know what kind of errors it were? Did you change a lot on the site? It's hard to give you an answer not knowing the issues.

Is page speed important to improve SEO ranking?
I saw on a SEO Agency's site (https://burstdgtl.com/search-engine-optimization/) that page speed apparently affects Google ranking. Is this true? And if it is, how do I improve it, do I need an agency?

Losing Page Rank
Hello Moz I launched a re-design of our site over the summer and we jumped in organic search for some keywords. Recently one of our landing pages is being hammered by Google last we we lost one position this week we lost 5 positions. Although, when I check the on-page grade Moz gives it an A is there a check sheet anyone has that I could go through to see if I have any common problems. Ryan

Do pages with fewer headings rank higher?
I've found several good quality, high ranking pages with excellent content, 500 to 1000 words. These pages are made by people who obviously know what they're doing. These pages only have one headline the h1 at the top of the page. Some of the sites use CSS div boxes and other things to make text look like a heading but do not have h2 or h3 tags or bigger font size. Could it be that a single headline tells Google that this page is about a single topic and that several sub headings muddy the water and so reduce page rank. Do multiple headings or subheadings affect page rank or is it just a personal style choice?

Questions About My Report
Hi, I have a website that aggregates NFL analysis (not news). I write 3-5 line summaries about each article I link, so there is a pretty good amount of daily content. Here's the site: http://www.profootballhotreads.com/ After I received my initial report, there were several issues, and I just wanted to get some thoughts on them. Some of these might be related to the aggregate nature, some might be not a concern, but I want to know which ones I should really worry about. Too many links. My main page is a continuously running scroll of links, so obviously this is going to be tough to accommodate. I know this makes each link less "valuable," but does it actually affect my site in any way? I don't really have links to my site on the page other than in the menu, which I assume would be scrolled first. meta description on tag pages. For site design reasons, I have several "pages" that are actually tag collection pages rather than unique pages. For example, each team's page is simply a collection of anything tagged with that team. So, I don't know if I can provide a meta description for those pages without making that the default meta description for any post with that tag. I supposedly have tons of duplicate pages but when I go to those pages, I don't see it. Webmasters said I only had one duplicate. Not sure what's going on. I'm thinking anytime I update a post, it is reading it as two different posts even though only one post exists at a time on the site. I have tons of duplicate page titles. Basically, I have tons of pages on my main page because after a certain amount of posts, it goes to a "new" page, even though it's just a continuation. So, I have Main page 1, Main Page 2, etc with the same title and meta descriptions. I don't think this is a concern, is it? Thanks for anyone who might be able to help. Let me know if there are more questions. Jason

Crawl with cach problem
Hello, My Crawl results in Seomoz shows me that i have few thousands of 302 direct problem, bucause it was crawling links like http://www.sposae.com/abito-sposa-g2026-pr-347.html?action=buy_now and it would be redirected automatically to http://www.sposae.com/cookie_usage.php because of cookie not activated from the user. Now I'm wondering if this is an issue to be solved or just a minor thing without impact. Thanks

Trying to maintain rank while switching back & forth from sitewide 301 to 302 redirects?
My company's website has earned industry "authority" over the years and ranks well for a number of keywords. For reasons not worth explaining, we've moved the entire site (all pages) to be secured (https from http). When we launch our completely new website in 5 months from now, we will launch it as "http:" For the next 5 months, we're stuck with using site-wide "https". Is it better to 301 or 302 all pages (from http -> https), with the intent to move back to 301 in 5 months from now? Obviously, this situation is not ideal, but we'd like to preserve as much authority/presence as possible. What should we do and why? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Homepage Hogging Too Many Keyword Ranks?
Hello: I've been the publisher and SEO for Indie Rock Cafe since starting it in 2007. It's done great, and has #1 - #5 positions in Google for many strong keywords like "best new albums", "best new bands", "top new bands", "popular indie rock songs", and so on. However, for many of the results, the homepage keeps popping up over and over again. I thought I'd done everything right to get other pages on the site to rank for top keywords. Another potential issue is that I expected the homepage to have a 6 PR by now, but it seems stuck on 5. Any ideas? Insight from SEOs and experts is always enlightening and helpful, so thank you in advance for your thoughts and advice.

All links that are added know goes to www.version still the non www. is ranking highest. Should i worry about this or will simply the otherone overcome it in time ?
