My Organic traffic always going down on Thursday and Friday
-
I am the Webmaster of this site
Do not tell me some key files blocked by robots. It happened yesterday and applied the fix.
My traffic always goes down on Thursday/Friday but it starts getting better from Saturday. Is it some EMD update or what the hell is it coming back and hitting me every week on these two days.
Impressions with clicks also goes down.

What is this conspiracy theory EGOL?

Is it some EMD update or what the hell is it coming back and hitting me every week on these two days.
I think conspiracy theory is hitting you.
-
Yeps, that's exactly what we saw in our graphs too. I found a screenshot of this within one of my old documents which show exactly this. Take a look at this screenshot.
-
Martin and Itrogers I totally agree with your point but my question is why the Impressions and clicks got down on that very day.Do you want to say that on the whole people relating to my industry do not Google that much on these two days?
-
This happend to one of the sites I worked on before, we saw a decline in visits through out the week which was a pretty normal phenomenon. It was just the weekly routine for people looking for our products back then. At the end of the week they wouldn't search for any product related information and starting on Sunday evening throughout Tuesday they started searching for these products.
Based on the explanation you gave me I wouldn't say this is related to something like a weekly EMD update or any other update.
-
This can be the case but why the Impressions get down also with clicks. It only happened almost like every week for sure on Friday.
-
I am familiar with your industry but is there some connection between what people you market toward actually do on Thursday and Friday? I notice that my weekend traffic is the worst on Sat and Sunday, because my target market is enjoying their weekend and not working, surfing the web. Since it is consistent I am thinking that it is something related to your market.

GA traffic locations must be wrong? Most hits from a state we don't do business in!
I launched a website earlier this year. Very limited traffic, 200-300 a month. It is an info site for a specialized business. However, when I review my GA traffic reports, 20% of our traffic comes from one city in Virginia. (although the company does business in many states, it does not in Virginia) or anything close. The bounce rate is 97%! Could it be a web scraper or some kind of redirect?

Drop in Android organic search
Hay Moz Community, I have been analysing traffic fluctuations for a few websites and have found a noticeable drop in organic traffic from android devices. I initially thought it could be a generic mobile drop but iOS is holding its own? Can anyone share any insights they may have come across to explain the drop on android specifically. Thank you in advance

Diganosing Traffic Drop
With Spring Break and seasonality in play right now I'm curious about techniques for separating/diagnosing temporary drops in interest due to user behavior in a category from other things like drop in ranking or similar. How quickly can you tell these apart? Analytics will be delayed a few days for instance, other tools take time to update. What should we be looking for and when to say "ok, this too shall pass" as opposed to "did we make a bad site update" or something similar. Any tips?

Why do all traffic curves show a "saw tooth" pattern in Google Analytics
Greetings Mozzers This sounds like a dumb question, but it's bothering me just the same and I would like to think what the fine community of SEO experts at MOZ thinks I have taken a look at the traffic curve for about 20 different sites in very different industries (home improvement, wedding party supplies, pet feeding systems) and it seems to me that they all show a saw tooth pattern, more or less like the one below.

Surge in Yahoo! organic traffic?
Recently a domain I manage shot up in rankings for many industry related keywords in Yahoo! It only lasted for two days, but durring that time we saw about 300% increase in organic traffic. Durring that time we were spending a lot of money in paid ads. Can anyone explain the sudden surge in Yahoo! organic traffic and rankings? Could there have been traffic from our paid ads that tracked to organic search? We use Google analytics and an in-house tracking system that both showed the same trends.

Can Googlebot go through Paywalls?
So my website has a paywall that allows users that are IP Authenticated to look at content where unauthorized users don't have access to but this is hurting my SEO (since googlebot doesn't go past the paywall either). Is there any way that I could ask google to go through and crawl the entire site?
