Releasing Multiple Language Blog Articles ?
-
I was hoping anyone could give me some advice on my situation
Our blog is a huge traffic source for us, we frequently release fresh blog articles on our English language website bringing lots of relevant traffic for a variety of different relevant topics
Some of these articles would be very useful and relevant for visitors to our German website so i would like to get them translated and posted on our separate German language blog on our separate German website.
The article text will not change much as the information is the same for Germany also
How should i go about this without running into duplicate content issues with Google
I looked into rel=alternate and realized that i cannot use this over two separate websites, i also thought about rel=canonical but it doesn't look like this would be suitable either
Can anybody please give me any advice or thoughts on this ?

If you are using WordPress you can use "J translate" which allows you to have multiple versions of the copy per language. That is what we use for our foreign clients or websites that require multiple languages.

Thank you very much Simon and Tom, i remember watching this video in the past but clearly didn't take it in as well as i should of
We have a local German speaker so i intend to have the content accurately translated and i should be ok, so thank you

Hi James
As far as I'm aware, if you translate the English text into German the new German content will not be seen as duplicate content. Here's a Matt Cutts video on the topic.
Provided it is translated properly into high quality German, you should be able to keep the subject matter very much the same without having to worry about duplicate content.
Hope this helps.

Translated versions of the same content are not considered duplicates by Google. Just make sure they are properly translated and not auto translated.
Take a look at the is video from Matt Cutts which explains it all perfectly and should put you at ease.

Article page canonicalization
Hey there, A client rents all kinds of party articles, like plates, bowles, etc. Currently, al his article pages have canonicals to their parent category pages, supposedly to have any pagevalue flow to these category pages, (which are much more relevant for SEO). Is there anyone who agrees with this method? I think a noindex, follow would be a better measure to prevent Google from accessing all these 'low value' article pages. Besides, a canonical should indicate that page A and B are (almost) identical, which they most certainly are not in this case. What are your thoughts?

Frequency of release
Hello guys, We have a e-commerce website and we constantly create new pages about new products. I would like to know if the frequency of release can impact SEO. Is is better to launch 1 or 2 pages par day or doing it by batch of 10 pages once a week ? Does it make any difference ? Thanks 🙂 Romain

How to structure articles on a website.
Hi All, Key to a successful website is quality content - so the Gods of Google tell me. Embrace your audience with quality feature rich articles on your products or services, hints and tips, how to, etc. So you build your article page with all the correct criteria; Long Tail Keyword or phrases hitting the URL, heading, 1st sentance, etc. My question is this

Let's say you have 30 articles, where would you place the 30 articles for SEO purposes and user experiences. My thought are:
1] on the home page create a column with a clear heading "Useful articles" and populate the column with links to all 30 articles.
or
2] throughout your website create link references to the articles as part of natural information flow.
or
3] Create a banner or impact logo on the all pages to entice your audience to click and land on dedicated "articles page" Thanks Mark0 -
Sidewide footer links to latest blog posts
Dear Friends I hope you can answer my questions. We are launching a new site and on the footer (sidewide) we list all new blog posts (limit 5 links - blog title), do you think we have any problems with that part of the website? I am concerned because all new blog post title will appear on all pages' footer and it will be marked as spammed. We just want visitors to be noticed about new blogs post on our site. Thank you,Tran

SEO value in baclklink from blog.domain VS domain
Will a back-link from "domain.com/abc" and "blog.domain.com/abc" have same value from an SEO perspective? Assume same article written on both sites.

I have been told the bots look at the domain value and the only links from blogs that have less value are in case of comments. As long as the "blog.domain/abc" page includes a full article and not a blog comment then it counts fully for SEO. Is this correct?0 -
Dofollow blog comments to encourage commenting and subscriptions?
We publish really solid content on our blog, but are having trouble acquiring comments and subscribers due to the dull nature of our industry. So we are considering dofollowing blog comments as incentive. Of course, the comment will be moderated. Do you think this is a good idea?
