What is the best way to reduce bounce rate from Pinterest Traffic?
-
Hi,
Our bounce rate is very high on incoming traffic from Pinterest. What can we do to redirect the traffic to more than single product page and/or convert them to sign up for newsletter, etc?
Anyone know if there is an average bounce rate from Pinterest traffic?
Thanks.

Social media traffic in general tends not to convert directly to sales, because most people use social media sites for entertainment and not for shopping. Pinterest tends to have a higher shopping intent than other social sites, but still expect a low conversion rate.
There are two things you can do to improve your conversion rate: improve your leads and improve your site.
To improve the quality of your leads, try putting a price tag on your pins in Pinterest. This will tend to attract people who are actually shopping for something, instead of just browsing pretty pictures. Make it clear that the item in your picture is something you have for sale. Use buying keywords in the pin description. All these will attract people to your pins who are more likely to purchase, leading to a higher conversion rate.
As far as improving your site, for reducing bounce rate you can include a "related products" widget to your page, with pictures of other products the user may be interested in. Pinterest users are very visual, so make sure your site design looks nice.
As for improving e-mail conversion rates, don't just ask people to sign up, offer them an incentive. The exact incentive will depend on your industry, but make it something that complements whatever it is you're offering, like a free guide or tip sheet. If you can't think of anything creative, try offering a one-time 15% off coupon for signing up for your newsletter. Make the sign-up form a popup, so people can't ignore it.

Hi,
What industry are you working in? Could we see your Pinterest page?

Best to Include Phone Number as CTA Button in Mobile Version of B+B Web Site?
We are attempting to keep the number of CTAs (Calls to Action) on our commercial real estate website to a minimum. Our adjusted design (see attached) has 2 CTAs. One is "Contact Agent" the other is "Schedule a Tour". We are focusing on the listing page, which is the primary product page and critical in terms of CTA. Our mobile version does not show a phone number while the desktop version (also attached) displays a phone number. Should the mobile version also display a button a phone number? Some members of our target audiences, business owners and executives who are often in their 40s and 50s may prefer to call us up rather than communicate by written message. Any suggestions for elegantly displaying the phone number without causing confusion? I have read that the number of CTAs should be limited so I am on the fence as to whether or not to include a phone number Thanks,

Facebook Connect login preventing traffic source conversion data. Any solutions?
We're buying traffic to the website via Adwords, and when they hit the website and go to sign up for an application (enter into our conversion funnel), the session concludes as a bounced session, a new session starts and that session now has a referral from Facebook rather than the original referring source. This means we can't monitor adwords conversions properly (or any other traffic source conversions) this seems to be quite a common problem with Facebook/Google account logins, in the case of Google, people block account.google.com but we can't afford to block Facebook outright as we're wanting to see other Facebook referrals. Has anyone come across this problem? Any suggestions of how to fix this?

Any tips and tricks to increase Conversion Rates on Google PLA?
I have recently organized my Adwords (Product Listing Ads) campaign according to this link: http://certifiedknowledge.org/blog/how-to-create-a-state-of-the-art-pla-campaign While I like the organization and control this provides, my fundamental concern is to increase conversions. I understand conversions are dependent on other factors such as landing pages etc. Are there any Google Adwords tips someone has had success with to increase CTR and increase conversion rates? Pating $10/day to Google Adwords while only getting a sporadic business every 3 days is getting a bit frustrating. Are there any tools in MOZ that can help find faults and generate simple reports on the Google Adwords campaign? Any help is much appreciated.

Review Functionality Plugins for eCommerce. Which are the best and most cost effective?
Hi Mozzers! Let me give you a bit of background for my question. I currently look after two eCommerce sites and naturally I want to get them using reviews for products for customer interaction / content and rich snippets. I am basically looking for a cost effective plugin that can plugin to our CMS system that can give us review functionality and will be compatible with rich snippets. At the moment we use Disqus for the blog commenting system and i've heard this can be used for product reviews. Any ideas would be great. At the moment our client is holding back due to 'lack of funds' so the most cost effective measures would be appreciated. Cheers,

Is there a way to track who clicks on these links?
At the bottom of my single page posts, I have some related posts. I'd like to set up some sort of GA tracking that lets me know how many people are actually clicking on those links. Anyone know if there is a way to do this? Thanks!

Any idea why my bounce rate could be so high?
Hello Everyone, I'm stumped. My primary website has a horrendous bounce rate of around 75% My domain is www.radicalmarketingsolutions.com My home page has a bounce rate of around 68%. The funny thing is, I have a page on Google Analytics basics for small business owners that is my 3rd top page for content, I have an average time on page of over 3 minutes yet my bounce rate is 90%. I have another page on how to depersonalize your google searches in Chrome and Firefox that is a top page with a time on page over 5 minutes and this page has a bounce rate of 96%! I felt that my old design was really hurting me so I changed the design in the beginning of this month and it does not look like it's helped much. I really simplified the site, created a lot more white space and added some links to my other important pages in hopes to get more click throughs. I would really love some honest "constructive" feed back on my site as to why the bounce rate could be so high. I have a ton of content on my blog and I get a lot of positive feedback. One thing I did not do was exclude my IP from Analytics so I could be influencing the numbers. I've added this filter and hoping this will help. Another issue is I do email my list with each new blog post. This could mean those folks visit the post and then leave without reading anything else on my blog. So this could be hurting me as well. Would love your suggestions. Thanks, Bill Parlaman

Low conversion rate, high ticket item... but not THAT high
Oh great mozzers, I fall at your feet... I feel like I'm going insane... My client, 35 Degrees (http://35DegreesSteaks.com) is quite the mystery. I handle SEO and paid search for them, and we're doing great in those areas... however, we're just not seeing the conversions once I deliver these folks to the site. The people are targeted, the keywords are sound, and from what I can see, the checkout process isn't a mess... but they are just not getting the sales. We're currently starting to test some price points with some newer, lower cost "intro packages", so we'll see if that's one of the pain points. I'm also in the process of convincing them to include a Verisign or some other logo in the checkout process. However, I was hoping the great minds here could take a quick look and see if I'm missing anything else. Thanks in advance! Jeff
