Any recommendations on a mini projector for business presentations?
-
Anybody have recommendations on a mini projector for business presentations? One that could be connected via a laptop or tablet.
Thanks for any feedback!

Came here to say this. If you load your presentation to Drive you're in full control and only need to take the stick and your phone! SICK!
It's like an HDMI usb stick. HDMI doesn't conduct power so you have to charge them and for the $35 it's cheap enough to throw away if you don't dig it. Along with power it requires a TV so not perfect for your answer but I'd carry one everywhere. (and will by next week)

We use a 3m Mobile Projector MP410. It's a bright pictures, easy to use, doesn't get to hot, can connect to virtually anything and small (we paid about $450).
We almost pulled the trigger on the Epson EX71 as well, but decided on the 3m because of the price.

For using the tv route like you mentioned, the new chromecast by google looks like it could be a viable idea for pretty cheap. I don't know if I understand correctly, but from what i get you can mirror your laptop on a tv wirelessly and use your phone to control it.

Charles,
I would tell you that about two years ago I got an Epson EX71. While it is a little pricey, it is a gem of a projector and has every cable type except Thunderbolt (not sure on USB 3).
I would also offer an opinion re the cost and another way to do things if you do not need to get large in your projection area (we have a conference area with screen that seats about 100 so that helps to be able to go large): For almost all other presentations we have gone to an LCD TV and bluetooth to our laptops (you could easily use a cable too). We use a 32 inch Westinghouse as it is very inexpensive, so if dropped or broken we are only out a few hundred dollars. It is not heavy and if you put into any kind of larger satchel with strap, anyone can carry it.
It is easier to set up and we can use it for booths, offices, etc. I like having both in the event we need them, but if I was doing smaller group presentations, I would go with tv and laptop because it is easier, no lamps running to cool, etc.Hope it helps, good and different question too!
Robert

Hi Charles,
Try the AAXA P4-X Pico projector, pocket size and good price ($349.99). Here's a review.

Setting up a remote business with their Google Business Account
Hi all, I have a client who operates a remote business and I need to get her Google business/ brand account set up. She doesn't want it listed under her home address (for obvious reasons) but that is where her business is based out of. Apart from getting a PO box and listing her business under that for Google, does anybody know of any other options or best practices? Thanks!

Listing multiple locations on Facebook for local business and top platforms for local SEO
What is the easiest way to register multiple locations for a business to Facebook local? I'm sure we've all had the challenge of multiple local business listings for a client. The set up is just busy work, but the verification can be an issue with some busier or less organized locations. I'm interested to see if anyone has a more eloquent solution to achieve this. I also have a second question as far as local listings go - how would you rank the most influential local listing platforms? Thanks, Bill

Local SEO Practice: Creating a Fictitious Business?
Has anyone tried fabricating a fake, brick-and-mortar store as an SEO experiment? Sort of along the lines of what Starwood is doing (check out this Wikipedia experiment with the Test Galaxy Sheraton), but with a legitimate physical address and all? Was it useful? And are there any potential legal troubles that could arise from borrowing a vacant address? I'm thinking this could be helpful for my Intern to gain practical experience in local SEO, without the politics of working for a client But I wouldn't want to blight that address for future occupants if the experiment went horribly awry. We could instead offer pro bono services to a small business with a limited web presence – that would be useful to her, and constructive. But I'd like to have a better understanding of what signals Google looks for when deciding whether to index a website in local search, and see whether possible to dupe those algos. What are your thoughts, Mozzers? .

I need recommendation on an email system for customer service center.
My client has way too many emails coming into his inbox and it's preventing him from closing orders. He wants to be able to split the email load among everyone in sales so he isn't burdened with answering all the emails while his staff sit on their asses. Can anyone recommend a system where emails sent to info@example.com are answered like a customer service system?
