Why is my website not showing up in a specific, very uncompetitive niche?
-
My website just went live about 3-4 weeks ago and while it has been indexed by Google-it shows up when I do a search for my site's name, it does not show up for the keyword terms it has been optimized for. This is a very specific, non-competitive niche-so I just can't imagine why it would not be showing for these non-competitive keyword term searches? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks

I agree with Lynn, 3-4 weeks is nothing and in those weeks Google can often change your position in the SERPs. If you still haven't seen anything in a couple of months then something may be wrong. Start working on your local brand awareness in the first stages of your strategy, then start to monitor local versions of your keyword (service in X), they are the most likely keywords to rank first.

It all depends on what your web site title is. I will make an assumption here and assume this is a money site with adsense code or amazon affiliates? If that is the case (and I apologise if it isnt) then your brand name is something like (tophairremoval.com).
ranking for that keyword will require a lot of good authoritive backlinks and in particular from similar to your niche web sites and blogs even if google keyword tool told you (800+ searches a month) and "low competitive".

I agree with the others. If you are a local rather than national company I might suggest some off page local SEO. This might help considerably.

Agree with Lynn and KempRuge. Hard to give feedback without more info.

Do you actually mean "it does not show up" or it is not ranking well? Either way, as Lynn pointed out, it's tough to tell without a url, keyword, etc.

Hi Denise,
I'm not sure there is such a thing as a non competitive niche anymore! Competition isn't just sites actively targeting your chosen keywords but also just the sites that were ranking for those keywords before your site even existed! 3-4 weeks is not very long to be live and you might have to be a bit patient and do all the normal things you would have to do anyway (make sure all your onpage stuff is good, get the word out through social channels perhaps, get a few inbound links etc). If you care to share your site and the keyword we might be able to give some more specific thoughts.

Pages Not Showing Up In Search After Being Indexed....
Hello, I'm trying optimize my google search for local business in Fort Myers, FL area. I've created specific keywords that people are searching and have made my page title and on-page experience reflect this relevency. However, the page isn't appearing anywhere on google search even though search console has stated that the page has been indexed. My question is, how do I trouble shoot this so that I can appear in local search for these search terms?

Will page be marked as 404 if you replace country specific letters from url?
What I'm reffering to is replacement of Polish characters from i.e "ł" to "l" or "ę" to "e". I believe it relates same way as other similar Slavic languages.

Title tag terminology on website
Hi,
On-Page Optimization | | KasperGJ
I own a website (www.maleribasen.dk), which i'm currently making SEO on. The site actually ranks pretty good, top 1-2 on important searches. The title tag on the frontpage (and lots of other pages too) are "Maleribasen.dk - Buy and sell paintings" (translatated from danish - Maleri means painting). I'm thinking of changing the titles to "Buy and sell paintings | Maleribasen.dk" And then try to use the convention "| Maleribasen.dk" on every other title page. Sometimes use "Buy and sell paintings | Maleribasen.dk" as convention when title is too small. Like the overview of articles would be something like "Articles - Buy and sell paintings | Maleribasen.dk" A specific article would be "How to paint using oil painting | Maleribasen.dk" What do you guys think?0 -
Moz showing 384 description duplicates on my ecommerce store.... when I download CSV, most pages are coming from my WordPress Blog, why?
Hi, I am trying to investigate why I am getting 384 description duplicates on my ecommerce store (www.doggie-diva.com)? When I download the CSV file from MOZ, the majority of the pages they refer to are pages from my Word Press blog, which is hosted on a different server (blog.doggie-diva.com). I do have a link from my website to my Word Press blog and vice versa. Can you please explain to me why this is happening when I don't have duplicate content? Example of a page flagged from www.doggie-diva.com with duplicate content (http://blog.doggie-diva.com/tag/dog-gymnastics. Thanks, Rachel <colgroup><col width="549"></colgroup>

My report is showing duplicate titles.. for http://www.mysite.com/ & http://mysite.com
Is this because I setup my campaign wrong in seo moz or should I have my site setup differently to forward all traffic without the www to the www version? Or vise versa? Thanks for any advice!

The actual title tag is different from the one showing in SEOmoz
Hello all I was looking at the crawling report for my project, I have noticed that there are so many duplicate titles in the "Duplicate Page Title" report, I checked the title tag for one of the titles (for this page) manually (in the page code), and it was showing like this: <title></span><span>Interviews | TechSparks</span><span></title> where it's showing in the "Duplicate Page Title" report like this: Interviews | TechSparksEasyRotator Preview Hovering over the tab in the browser shows the title as I mentioned first, and searching Google for this page shows the title like the first one I mentioned too. Do you any clue why that is happening? fUbtXe6 fUbtXe6.png

How do I avoid duplicate content and page title errors when using a single CMS for a website
I am currently hosting a client site on a CMS with both a Canadian and USA version of the website. We have the .com as the primary domain and the .ca is re-directed from the registrar to the Canadian home page. The problem I am having is that my campaign produces errors for duplicate page content and duplicate page titles. Is there a way to setup the two versions on the CMS so that these errors do not get produced? My concern is getting penalized from search engines. Appreciate any help. Mark Palmer
