Should I post my upcoming blog series on my blog or on Google+
-
I am in the process of writing a series of blog posts covering one subject in more detail.
Normally, I would just post my blog posts on my blog, but I have heard and read recently that posting content on Google+ is having very good results.
So should I post this series exclusively on my Google+ pages instead with a link back to my blog and site or just focus on posting on my blog as I have done before?
Thanks in advance,
Peter

Thanks to all of you for your answers and with the clarity of your responses which make total sense. Blogging on the blog it is.
Much appreciated.

Ask yourself, who is your audience? Are they on G+? If so writing stuff on G+ might be a good idea, however if your audience is not there I would suggest leaving it on your blog.
In general as well, I agree with EGOL by leaving it on your own website you are leaving the opportunity for the post to be shared not just on G+, but on FB, Twitter, and now even Pinterest. Only on very special circumstances, would I suggest writing a full-length post on G+.

I would post the blog on your website but then write an eye-catching summary on G+ with a link back to each of your blog posts after you publish each one.
I would also mention them on FB and Twitter, etc. and do the same. Not only is this good for SEO, but if you have a high quality blog post, you can generate referral traffic and interest with these posts.

Post on your website, put a snippet and a link on your G+
-
If you want people to visit your Google+ page then post it there. If you want people visiting your website then post it on your blog.
Personally, I would be posting it on my website. Then any visitor, links, likes, tweets will contribute to my site rather than to a Google+ page that I don't control.

I understand Authorship is Dead, but here's a question on the Google+ Profile
I guest write for some blogs, as well as several blogs I manage myself. What is the correct usage of the "Contributor to" field and the "Links" field? Contributor to: The overall blog itself and; Links: To individual blog posts themselves? Or the reverse? Thank you!

Webmaster is showing hundreds of external links from 1 G+ post
A page on our site is registering as having 262 external links coming from two pages on Google+. The page it comes from is for posts related to #weddings, but I can't find the post with our link. Has anyone else experienced this? Linking page https://plus.google.com/app/basic/s/%23Wedding/related?cbp=17npa447ckmq3&sview=27&cid=5&soc-app=115&soc-platform=1&sri=0&spath=/app/basic/100121179959444544221/posts&sparm=cbp%3D16tcwubxsznm%26sview%3D27%26cid%3D5%26soc-app%3D115%26soc-platform%3D1%26stct%3DCAIQgJf0-fbDugIgCigB%26spath%3D/app/basic/stream%26sparm%3Dcbp%253Dm5w9s8yrkyhx%2526sview%253D27%2526cid%253D5%2526soc-app%253D115%2526soc-platform%253D1

Connecting a Google Places & Google+ Account?
Does anybody know how to connect Google Places to Google+? When my company name is searched in Google, the Google+ page appears on the right hand side like it should. However, under the meta description of the first search result there a link saying 'Google+ page' which links to a Google Places Local account. Does anyone know how this can be sorted?

Moving from Google place to Google+ - problems, problems
Hi, I'm just moving a business listing from Google Places to Google+ I have a couple of problems. (1) The verification postcard has turned up with the wrong address on it (different to the address on Google Places!) - can I alter this once I've verified Google+ page or would I need to go through postcard verification again? (2) I see the categories in Google+ are far less flexible (and appropriate) for the business I work for, so I'm thinking that may cause problems. Has anybody else experienced this same problem? Thanks in advance for your help 🙂

How to remove Google + logo?
I removed social plugins and installed only one Shareholic. Google+ button is left. I checked all plugins - sounds as no one supports it. Any ideas how to remove it? Thank you! http://oasisoftheseasallureoftheseas.com/#axzz289zdLaJm

Bringing a Google+ business page and a Google+ Local (Places) page together
We have a Google+ business page @ https://plus.google.com/105699067779457680386 (therefore the managers of that page log in with their personal Google accounts to use Google+ as the business page). We had/have a Google Places listing tied to our company Google account, and that does show up in Google+ Local. I simply would like to marry the two so they can live together in perfect harmony. But that does not seem straightforward at all. If I'm logged in with our company Google account, I am asked to "join" Google+, but I don't want our company to be a "person" on Google Plus (just a Business Page). If I'm logged in with my personal Google account, and switch to using Google+ as our business page, and then click to claim/edit our Google+ Local listing, that doesn't work because I'm not logged in under our corporate Google account. It's an Internet mystery. Mozzers, assemble!

How does Google 'see' Facebook shares?
With Rand's new post about the correlation between FB Shares and rankings, I wanted to ask... How is Google able to see what links are being shared? Does the profile have to be public? Or do they get anonymous info direct from FB as part of some deal?
