Looking for Video Production Setup Guide post
-
Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a specific video post I recall watching, i thought it was on moz.com, all about creating a decent set up for video production. It discussed things like lighting setup, sound, hardware on a budget etc.
I have searched the moz.com blog video tag archive, as well as the Q&A, but haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!

This is actually what I had in mind, information overload I must have confused the source.
Thank you very much.

Was actually one of the first places I looked, his posts here, as well as on distilled. Great content, but not exactly the post I was after. Appreciate the response.

I believe Jennita shared the post you are ideally looking for but in case not, Phil Nottingham is the guy who usually write about Video strategies so you should check his profile to get what you are ideally looking for!
Hope this helps!

Video Transcript
Recently, Rand suggested posting a transcript of all videos. We have a video on our homepage and want to post the transcript, but posting it as text on our homepage itself isn't practical. Where do you suggest we post the video transcript in lieu of adding it to our homepage? Thank you! Rick

Did Google change/eliminate rich snippets for videos?
For example, if you search "Whiteboard Friday" on Google, the only rich snippets are for YouTube videos. None of the rich snippets point to Moz.com directly This contradicts this video from Wistia about video SEO - http://wistia.com/learning/video-seo

Guest Posting At Scale - A Definition!
Hi, have just watched the latest Whiteboard Friday entitled 'Why Guest Posting and Blogging is a Slippery Slope'. Rand mentions '"guest posting at scale", but what does he actually mean? For the purpose of building website authority and brand awareness we post around 1-4 blog posts per month for our clients, all on authoirty sites, some of which accept guest posts with little editorial restriction, some we have to jump through hoops for. We don't use KW specific anchor text, instead we link to the clients site with semantically related, varied anchor text, as well as linking to other useful third party sources. We also publish regular useful content on our clients blogs in the hope of getting natural backlinks. Would this be classed as 'guest posting at scale'? Do you think we could we be targeted and penalised by the upcoming guest post algorithm? Many thanks in advance, Lee.

Search engines preferred content posting schedule?
Hello Moz members. I am working on a newly redesigned site, www.servicechampions.com and I would like to have your input on a preferred posting schedule of content. I am sitting on near hundred pages of content to add. What would be the best approach to upload content to our site that would maximize the amount of pages indexed by google/search engines? I have been under the practice that a consistent posting schedule would be favored by search engines. I too do not want to be a victim of my own success if search engines start expecting from me x amount of pages a week. What are your thoughts? ps. any feedback on the new site would be greatly appreciated (launched 11.1.13) Thank you,

Content marketing: guest post around our article
Hello, We made a piece of content that is useful to several different types of organizations and websites. It's also unique. We're promoting it by appealing to the humanitarian side of things. The sites I'm looking at right now have blog posts with content that indicates that our article would be useful. How do we ask, by email or phone, site owners to write a guest post around our article? It seems like a lot to ask even though it's needed. Resources I'm using: Like the company on facebook. Follow them on twitter. Comment on recent blog posts. Share their good recent content on facebook. Retweet good recent tweets on twitter. Follow Rand's advice here: http://moz.com/blog/what-separates-a-good-outreach-email-from-a-great-one-whiteboard-friday

Shooting Video: What hardware would you recommend?
I'm looking to start publishing basic video guides for the company website. Me, a whiteboard and some useful information.... maybe weekly, possibly on a Friday. Think I saw some guy do something similar once... 🙂 I'm looking to spend about $300 - $350 on the hardware - I'm thinking $300 on the camera and $50 on an external mic. Testing with iPhone videos and the video function on point and shoot digital still cameras came back with lighting and sound issues, hence the move to buy some equipment. I don't mind it looking simple, but don't want it looking (and sounding) too cheap. Does anyone have any recommendations? What (if anything) do you use? Any videos I can watch to judge the quality? Anything you think I should definitely not go without (tripod? etc) Thanks! Thanks for the tips guys. Am currently trying to get hold of a bigger budget. Lighting, boom mike and two cameras. Will post a few examples once I have them. Cheers!

Few questions regarding Rand's Over Optimization Video
I was just watching the Whiteboard Friday video and it was informative and good. Thank god, we always tried to stay natural and all of our websites are perfectly not in danger. Anyways, I do have few questions : He said about internal links on inner pages. One of our site has a sidebar with a list of 10 items, which are our main services and we want users always to have a access to it, so we have placed it on the sidebar and it appears on all pages. Is it wrong ? About the links, we have a list of social bookmarking sites, like 450 sites, and all of them are PR2-PR5 sites, etc. We submit each of our product to those sites . Is it wrong ? And how to know, which is a low quality site and we should not submit the link there ? We receive like 10+ link requests per day and we place their links and they place ours on resources page. Is it wrong ? We write eZine article for all of our products/keywords and submit. Is it wrong ? Looks like, the old school link building method are going to go down the pit hole by Google. Whats the new way to build links ? This is making me crazy.
