Page Rank Metrics Disapearing
-
Hi Everyone. I keep hearing from different people that googles PAGE RANK , Will soon be eliminated. Has anyone heard anything more about this ? Or is this a myth? This would make it more complex for the average person to rely on DA and TF etc.. Would love to hear from you guys. I actually like the PR rating system.
Also have websites more then a year old which are still not showing actual PR yet .Maybe delayed or maybe not.

Google Page Rank was deprecated and not updated since the end of 2014, and the public facing Page Rank metric was generally too broad to be able to use as a useful tool...
The only change now is that Google has killed it off completely for any third party tools to pull data, so it's completely dead...
In terms of your own site, you're better off looking at whether a page is attracting traffic via organic & paid search and social channels as a measure of success.
In terms of external sites, the various tools (Including Moz) which allow you to check metrics are generally more useful - Page Rank never supplied an equivalent to Domain Authority (As a 'site' page rank was the page rank of the individual home page), and although the crawl amount often isn't quite as wide as the resources of Google, the individual PA scores are more granular, so you can more accurately look at closer competitors if that's your thing...

"This would make it more complex for the average person to rely on DA and TF etc.." - I disagree with this, PageRank was never a valid metric anyway for the last 5 years at least as it was usually only updated once or twice a year. In addition to that the PageRank models were already duplicated in basis by DA or TF as well.
These metrics can't 'replace' PageRank but with what you want to do with the data you probably can still use it very easy.

As Alick300 said, this has been confirmed. To add to that, Google stopped updating it some time ago which explains why your older domains still don't have a rating
It was somewhat helpful to beginners since it offered a single number but at the same time, the simplicity was also the flaw; you couldn't take it at face value. I saw plenty of terrible sites with a high PR and great sites with a low PR. This left the door open for spammers to manipulate their PR then sell links from it to unsuspecting victims on the basis of "it's a high PR site, how could I go wrong?!?"
Honestly, I'm glad to see it gone!

Hi Robert,
It's official: Google has decided to kill off Toolbar PageRank from its browser. That means that if you are using a tool or a browser that shows you PageRank data from Google, within the next couple weeks (announced on 8th March 16)it will begin not to show any data at all.
Thanks

Which is the best way to rank a site?
Hi, I have been working on SEO for a long time, recently I started a new site where I was aiming to rank different niches but I am stuck. First I covered some keywords related to sports then I shifted the niche to hunting. My idea was to cover a niche fully then move on to the 2nd so the authority of the site can also help rank the 2nd niche but the problem is I am unable to rank my site. Should I be considering only a very specific niche site or should I continue doing all the stuff on the same site. Please checkout my site ReviewsCase.com and let me know. And if has also done the same please let me know.

Is there any way to prevent Google from using structured data on specific pages?
I've noticed that Google is now serving what looks like host-specific video cards on mobile for our site. Is there any way to control which videos are included in these lists without removing the structured data on those clip pages or user pages? We don't want to noindex those pages but we don't want content from those pages to appear as video cards. 1kzPW

How to Interpret Rankings Decline
My website operates in 14 languages, and overall we have not seen a decrease in traffic (hard to measure because we are very vulnerable to external factors) I started using AWR about a month ago and in that time have seen the following changes in my visibility for some of my major markets: Nothing major in either direction, but any advice of how to delve deeper to find an explanation for the markets that are decreasing? UK: 15% ->13% RU: 25 -> 26% AU: 25% -> 21% DE: 18% - 19% ES: 11% -> 10% SE: 42% -> 44%

New Google SERPs page title lengths, 60 characters?
It seems that the new Google SERPs have a shorter page title character length? From what I can gather they are 60 characters in length. Does this mean we all need to now optimise our page titles to 60 characters? Has anyone else noticed this and made any changes to page title lengths?

Trying to recover from a ranking crash
My site was well established and I'd built up some good rankings in Google using link building and onsite optimization. Then last year it completely fell out of the rankings except for a few keywords. There were some suspicious links but nothing that seemed too toxic, no warnings from Webmaster Tools. 9 months later I still haven't recovered. The site is well optimized. Any ideas?

Same page but appearing in Google with different titles
I have a page ranking on position 1 for a key phrase. The key phrase is the title of the page as well. I'll use a mock key phrase to aid my question - "Teeth and Gums" So the page is ranking number 1 for "Teeth and Gums" and "Teeth and Gums" is the meta title. However, I went ahead and did a new search adding an additional keyword to the original search. When I did a new search adding an additional keyword to the original search, Google has done something weird.. Let's say the search is "Dentistry - Teeth and Gums", Google has ranked my page again as number 1 but changed the title. The title in the search result is now "Dentistry - Teeth and Gums" How and why? It's kinda like Google PPC's keyword insertion but the title hasn't got anything weird like {KeyWord: Dentistry}. It's just "Teeth and Gums" Has this happened to you guys? Any ideas?

High ranking but low traffic, what gives?
One of our clients is in the top 3 spots on high volume keywords that get 20-70k hits in the US each month (per adWords keyword tool), but their daily traffic is in the low hundreds. What's going on?
