Days to transaction - GA

Hi

We have noticed a trend with days to transaction being high for May - June for Organic for 28+ days.

Does anyone have any helpful articles or ideas on why this is happening for organic?

GTM: Transaction value without tax as variable

Hi Mozzers, I'm trying to create a GTM variable for transaction value without tax. There is no datalayer field for this at the moment. e.g. I only have these fields in the datalayer: Revenue (€19.99) Tax (€3.47) Price (€19.99) No field with the price without tax. Is there a way to create a variable? Is it possible to work with a specific function? Or is it standard to implement an extra field in the datalayer? Many thanks,

Cross-domain / subdomain tracking in GA?

Hi there, My client has a site website.com and a booking engine, booking.website.com They are currently tracking the main site and the booking subdomain as two separate properties in the same GA account. The issue is we can't see where users are originating on the subdomain property; it's all being counted as referral. My understanding is we need to set up subdomain tracking using Google Tag Manager in order for GA to pass the user data between the two subdomains. This is fine, except for this one line I am reading on Google's guide to cross-domain tracking: Subdomains If you have updated your tracking code to analytics.js, then no additional configuration is required to track subdomains. You can use cross domain tracking to collect data from a primary domain, like www.example.com, and a subdomain, like www.subdomain.example.com, in a single Analytics account property. That last line makes it sound like we should be using cross-domain tracking for this purpose. Are we correct in setting up subdomain tracking and NOT cross-domain tracking to be able to track users across subdomains on the same domain?

How Reliable is the Avg Query Position in GA?

Hi Moz Community, I wanted to know how reliable the average position data is for queries in Google Analytics search console report. I know this report is fairly new this year and the numbers are calculated a bit differently than they were in the old search engine optimization report. I want to know what the biggest differences are between this search console report vs. the old SEO report in GA. I'm also pretty confused about how GA reports on the average position. Obviously it's an average position of whatever date range your choose. But for instance, if your site shows multiples landing pages for one search query will it roll that into the average or just take the landing page that ranks higher? Does the position average take into account video or photo serp results and is this the average across mobile, desktop and tablet? This number has always been a guess since it's sampled data but I want to know how accurate it is. Having issues with pivot tables in GA

For the past three days, I've been trying to use pivot tables on a couple of reports, most importantly I'm trying to use a pivot table on the All Pages report. I'd like to pull it for a year so I can see what our traffic sources are for top pages. I keep getting an error in Google Analytics that says, "Resource is Not Available. Please Try Again Later." See attached image. I've condensed my date range to a month, just in case a year's data was too much and I still get the error. I'm unable to use pivot tables in ANY report, without getting this message. Is anyone else having issues?EgZ25

How do i get Social Media Actions Tracked in GA

Subdomain GA Tracking??

Hi Mozzers I am tracking a web property www.example.com and we are launching a subdomain.example.com. Should the subdomain tracked on GA by creating a new profile or should it be on its own with a new GA property ID? Thanks for explaining how to do that setup 🙂 Ty
