Setting up Moz Account for a franchise with no physical locations
-
OK, so technically we are not a franchise, but our structure is very similar, in that we have numerous areas or cities, within which there are numerous locations (all with separate landing pages). We need to closely track the performance of each area/city as a whole (like you would a franchise), and the individual locations within it. We have a home based office in each main area/city, though not for the purposes of meeting customers etc.
We have www.domain.com/area-1/location-A, www.domain.com/area-1/location-B and then www.domain.com/area-2/location-A, www.domain.com/area-2/location-B etc etc.
This means that we have a relatively small handful of keywords which are relevant to any location, apart from the addition of the location or city name, like "house cleaners in [location], home cleaning services in [location].
So, do I set up my campaigns as domain.com/Newcastle, domain.com/Manchester etc, have say 10 keywords based around house cleaning, and then add all the local areas within that area/campaign? If so, should I add my keywords - things like "house cleaners" "home cleaning" "domestic cleaning companies" etc. to a campaign for /Newcastle, then add locations within Newcastle such as Gosforth, Jesmond, Heaton etc? Will this then allow us to track our rankings for "house cleaners in {Gosforth, Jesmond, Heaton etc}", "home cleaning in {Gosforth, Jesmond, Heaton etc}, "domestic cleaning companies in {Gosforth, Jesmond, Heaton etc}?
Any help, general, specific is much appreciated!
Many thanks
Edward

Hey there! You may have a few different options.
It's hard to know exactly how this site is set up without more details - for example, does each location have its own subfolder or subdomain? - but depending on what the structure of the site looks like you may be able to make individual campaigns.
If that is not an option, you may find more success making campaigns for the overall site and simply tracking keywords in localized geographies, and choose competitors based on those specific locales.
If you have further questions feel free to email us at help@moz.com with the site details!

I have a similar issue with a franchise site that we monitor.
We have a campaign set up for the overall company but I want to input competitors and keywords specific to each franchise region for better comparison to competitors. If I set up a separate campaign for this franchise region, how should I input the website section? They do not have their own website and I fear that the national website will skew the data.
Thoughts?

Great, ok thanks for that.

Hi there Edward!
Ultimately how you set up any Moz Pro campaigns is up to you, but we do have many customers who find success with the strategy you're asking about (that is, setting up a separate campaign for each location subfolder within your site). That can be beneficial in narrowing down your data set. It can also be helpful if you have a particularly large site and are concerned about crawl times (anything above 15k pages is going to take a bit extra processing time). If you have enough campaigns, you could also set up one master campaign for the overall site in addition to individual ones for each location.

MOZ not verifying my Google My Business listing
Hello Folks, Moz Local is not verifying my Google My Business Listing nor is it verifying the manual CSV upload. My Google My Business Listing and my manual CSV upload correctly display all of the same information as my Google My Business Listing and Facebook Page using the following Moz Local guidelines. The only thing that I can think of is that Moz Local is currently pulling up and older listing with a toll free number; however that has been corrected and the feed is real time, so I'm at a loss. Facebook The name, address, and phone number (NAP) listed on the page must be an exact match with the listing in Moz Local. The primary phone number listed must be a unique local number or a toll-free number. The primary page category must be “local business”. A minimum of 2 visitor check-ins are required. Not sure what to do here? Head to Facebook's resources to see how to let people check in and how you can check in. The page must be fully accessible to all potential visitors, so any restrictions based on age, location, etc. must be disabled. This can be easily checked by attempting to view the Facebook page in a Chrome incognito browser while not logged into a Facebook account; if you can view the page normally in these conditions, the accessibility should be in good shape! Google My Business The name, address, and phone number (NAP) listed on the page must be an exact match with the listing in Moz Local. The primary phone number listed must be a unique local number or a toll-free number. The business must not be listed as a “service area business”. A service area business displays with the street address being hidden, as well as the listing not being surfaced through the Google Places API (which is where we pull the listing details from). The listing must be verified by postcard. As a note, it may take a couple days after the postcard verification process for the listing to be available through the Google Places API. The listing must be completely searchable through Google Maps, with the full NAP listed correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

Moz Local Duplicating Street Address
Hi, Whenever I done a lookup for a client we were hoping to get on Moz Local, the listing that appeared has a repeating street address. For Example 123 Some Street, 123 Some Street, Some City, Some ZIP Code I have checked Google Plus / Google My Business and no such repetition is there. If anyone has any input on the matter it would be greatly appreciated.

Moz Local users: Specs for Images?
I'm working on the the CSV for Moz Local and I'm wondering about Image and Logo specs. For the five images that are allowed to be uploaded, are there any size specs (width, height and file size) that assures that my images will be likely to be accepted throughout the various Moz Local partners? Same goes for logo specs. Thanks,

Moz Local Verification
Why is it that when I submit a listing on Moz Local sometimes it does not pull up my Facebook page to verify and only tries to use the Google+, or vise versa? In this particular instance i want it to use the Facebook page because it has all the correct information and the Google+ page is not, but since the Google+ page has a different name it will not verify and let my listing go through. But it matches everything exactly on the Facebook page but is not even pulling up Facebook to option, instead it wants me to change the name of my business which is not correct.

Moz Local and Google+ Listing Issue
Hey Guys, I wonder if anyone can help me. I have already contacted the moz support team but they were no help. I am extremely disappointed with their service so far. Now to verify the listing on Moz Local, they say that you either fix the Google Listing or correct the CSV so it matches the Google listing. - I corrected the CSV to match the Google listing. Since the FAQ states that you can updated the listing at anytime by uploading an we CSV file, I did not see a problem with this. However, After contacting support they told me that the FAQ was incorrect and that you can't just update the CSV, you actually have to also manually update the Google listing. My Google local listing has the wrong information listed. We do not have control of this listing I have been trying to claim it, I have also already contacted Google Local help but it's a lost cause so far. So I am asking, How are you guys claiming your Google listings when the listings are already claimed. Also I have already been submitting changes to Google Map Maker but change keep getting denied. Any help is appreciated.
