Should I use a branded url or an exact match, and which branded url?

I'm thinking of changing my client's 37 character exact match url because it looks spammy to me and Google says it will be turning the dial down on exact match domains. I still see a lot of value in it however and it is helping this client, albeit very little since he is new in his arena. His goal is to rank for keywords in that url so I hate to lose the benefit of that url. As an example, let's say his url is floridahealthinsurance-quote.com
I'm concerned now because I plan to do some reputable and highly relevant link building and I'm afraid bloggers might hesitate linking to a spammy sounding url.
This client does have a branded url that is short and sweet, something like millerbenefits.net, and that redirects to the long url. Back linkers could link to the short url instead. However, it lands people on the site with the long spammy-sounding url and they may not want to be affiliated with it.
Something like millerbenefitsinsurance.com is available and it does have 2 keywords in it. Should I get that instead?
In short the question is this:
Should I change or keep floridahealthinsurance-quote.comIf I should change it, should I change it to:
millerbenefits.net

It's about keeping short and making it sound good & trust worthy.
A suggestion would be millerinsurance.com you are selling insurance
or another approach would be some idea that could become a brand ex: myinsurance.com make a brand out of the domain name.As a guru here at SEOmoz said a domain name is only useful for [exact match] so unless you have floridainsurance.com you have to think the other way what people are searching make a brand out of that and work out seo to reach 1st position for optimized keywords.
millerbenefits.com - are people searching exactly that? if yes you're going to have a slight advantage but if no it would be the same as millerinsurance.com where people can remember your site from the first 5 sec on it.

Do branded footer links hurt me?
I run a small seo company. We work uber white hat. We are small with only 4 of us but we have a good client base with great results. My question is related to my own websites because they are the only sites in which I practice this technique. I just watched the white board Friday about good vs bad link building. Link Bait - How to use it question?
Hi, Lets say you have two pages, one is your money page which contains products etc and the other is a piece of content used for link bait. Say the link bait works well and you pick up lots of links from it, how do you then benefit your money page from this? I can only think of creating an anchor text link from the link bait back to the money page. Is that usually how this process works?

Exact match and Penguin
After penguin, exact match keywords are not supposed to be used too much, in case you are selling a product and you are backlinking for its product page. Does this mean that exact match keyword for that product should also not to be used much. Or its just about website. For example i have a product named as "Test Product" and for it i have a keyword "Test Keyword", should i always use Test keyword to provide backlink to this product or should i use brand name as well or variant ot this keyword in anchor text. What do you suggest?

Which Creative Should I Use For The Anchor Text?
Hello, I have a real estate website (I'm using a random one below). We're putting out an advertisement and I'd like to know what the best anchor text would be. The hyperlinks are underlined below. We're trying to figure out if we should hyperlink the entire thing or just the keywords and leave the text around them. Also one of the keywords we're going for is an exact match on our domain (just like "homes for sale" and "homesforsale.com" below). The main keyword is "Homes For Sale", secondary "Real Estate" Out of the options below, which one would you choose and why? Or do you have any other options? Changing url from non www to www.
basically I have realised i have more page authority and links going to www.onestopmuscle.co.uk instead of onestopmuscle.co.uk. I use wordpress and have no clue how to make sure onestopmuscle.co.uk redirects to www. version. anyone have any ideas? I don't want to mess about with files or i'll most likely make the blog into a disaster.

Building Links to Exact Match Domains
What are the pros and cons having exact match domain and how can you create a brand name and build backlinks? Say we have a domain personalizedbirthdaygifts.com We are quite stuck with what anchor text we need to use and how do we vary it? I've heard that we have to stay away from using commercial keywords as anchor text heavily. We have to also use our brand name. And here we get stuck as we don't have a brand name. In this case Our brand name should be personalized birthday gifts but this is also commercial keyword. I have seen before similar websites droped from ranking because they have commercial keywords in their domain and most of their backlink anchor texts are commercial. If I had a website called twentyfive.com selling birthday gifts it would be a lot easier. But when you have a website personalizedbirthdaygifts.com and trying to rank for personalized birthday gifts and birthday gifts it's tough. OR isn't it?
