Moving wordpress themes, any best practices on setting up Google Analytics for the change?
-
We currently have a mess of filters and views in our Google Analytics instance. We have a chance to make a clean start.
Wondering if creating a whole new property is a good idea? Or just some additional views? Any other pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I would keep the same property and create new views.
Also it’s always recommended to create one view which is completely untouched so that you have access to raw data at any time
I hope this helps!
Cheers,
Casey

There's no need to make a new property. The comparative data may be useful one day.
Just delete all your views (if obsolete) and start with a single view.
Move towards using segments if you want to segment the data. Do you have segments already in mind?
Maybe look at excluding spam referral traffic if you have any.

Drop in Bounce Rate in Google Analytics
Hi guys, I have recently seen a large drop in bounce rate (from GA) which seems unnatural for one of our clients website. Since the start of 2018, the bounce rate was consistently between 40-60%, and then saw a random spike, and now for the past two weeks, the bounce rate is below 10%. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas if this is a problem with GA, or the site itself. Site: https://www.zoomocarcredit.com/ Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Jack. Increase in Direct traffic, drop in Google traffic, after updating Google Analytics settings.
I made some changes to our Google Analytics property settings (see notes in screenshot). As a result, there was an equal drop in Google traffic and increase in Direct traffic. Has anyone else seen something like this before? I'm wondering if I should revert. jE7buO6

Referral issue in Google analytics
We have an eCommerce website that counts paypal as a referral source in Analytics. The site takes people to Paypal to make a payment and then back to the website to a Thank You page once that payment has been made. Due to this, Analytics sees this as a conversion that has come from Paypal, and also records it as a referral source, when we know this is not really the case. This also distorts the data in analytics and prohibits us from clearly seeing which channels sales have come from. Is there anyway in Analytics to include Paypal as a part of the website so that it does not record Paypal as a separate referral website?

Need help with excluding IP addresses in Google Analytics
In Google Analytics, are you able to add more than 1 IP address to an exclude filter? I found this article, http://www.creare.co.uk/filter-multiple-ip-addresses-in-google-analytics, but wasn't sure if it was the right way to do this or if I should create a new filter for each IP address. Also, when I try to create a new filter, it only will let me select from a list of profiles I have created whereas on other accounts I've been able to create several new filters without any problems. Does anyone know why this might be?

Determining Exact Reverse Path in Google Analytics
Within Google Analytics does anyone have suggestions for how to determine the exact reverse path for a product purchased? The goal funnel does not provide in a detailed way, especially if a step is taken out of the exact funnel provided. If this information cannot be obtained through Analytics is there another tool we can use to get the exact path?

If I am changing my domain for my website and want to keep using the same Google Analytics account to keep the data from the old domain. How should I proceed? Do I have to start a new Google Analytics account for the new domain? If so how do I keep the old data? Or can I use the same GA account? Thank you.
