How does EAT work?
-
I have website about what do squirrels eat? in which every aspect is covered are they rodent or not? what do different species eat each and every thing is discuss in depth details are covered about this topic but still not able to get rank as i think it is due to eat update?

The main thing to know is that EAT is only confirmed to be a rubric for the human quality raters, which means this only matter significantly if you are penalized or as a preventative measure for sites in those niches. Speaking of preventative measure - while it’s good to educate clients on this and get them oriented towards it for the future, probably not the necessary to go crazy with reactive changes.Where this actually gets into advanced SEO territory is determining how EAT might scale algorithmically. What computational factors and inputs might the algorithm use to judge this in the future? That’s still predictive and proactive, but it will become the future of SEO once Google figures that out.

The page looks great but is relatively new. Give it some time, get some inbound links and add content on regular basis. Also, query "What Eats A Squirrels" and look at the results. The bioexplorer.net has a great landing page for this query. and look for something that they are and are not doing. Good luck.

Does an EAT score on my YMYL site impact my rankings?
I've read some conflicting information on YMYL and EAT. If the Google Quality Raters are out there reviewing YMYL pages and scoring them on EAT, does that site's score have an impact on that page's/site's ranking?

How Google's "Temporarily remove URLs" in search console works?
Hi, We have created new sub-domain with new content which we want to highlight for users. But our old content from different sub-domain is making top on google results with reputation. How can we highlight new content and suppress old sub-domain in results? Many pages have related title tags and other information in similar. We are planing to hide URLs from Google search console, so slowly new pages will attain the traffic. How does it works?

Did Google just give away how Penguin works?
At SMX during the You&A with Matt Cutts, Danny asked why the algo update was called Penguin. Matt said: "We thought the codename actually might give too much info about how it works so the lead engineer got to choose." Last night Google released their 39 updates for the month of May. Among them was this: "Improvements to Penguin. [launch codename "twref2", project codename "Page Quality"] This month we rolled out a couple minor tweaks to improve signals and refresh the data used by the penguin algorithm." Whoa, codename twref2 for Penguin improvement? Is this giving us an insight about how it works? I would guess the ref2 means second refresh perhaps. But tw I am not sure about. What do you think? Is there a hidden insight here?

How Do Geo Rankings Work?
I know that's vague, so let me specify. I recently got a client on the second page for a relatively difficult 2 word keyword. That is when the location is set to Chicago, Il in Google and private browsing in Chrome (so I'm not logged in). This is great because Chicago is the more important location (the client is located there and that's what his location is when he searches in Google). But when he goes home to the suburbs and searches, the ranking completely disappears. Why would he rank in a much more desired location such as Chicago vs a suburb way out of the city? Is that something you can control or target in terms of optimization? It's difficult trying to explain why this is happening to clients.
