How to boost the number of visitors to a specific page
-
Hello,
Payday loan consolidation, debt settlement, credit card settlement, and debt consolidation are just a few of the pages I have. While walking through the search console dashboard, I noticed that while the position is improving, but impressions and traffic are decreasing, indicating a significant disparity.
Please advise on how to resolve the issue.

@HayleyBowyer You can submit your internal pages to the directories on the free, paid trusted, and niche directory list at webdirectories.info

@abdoselim2050 Should I change the Payday loan consolidation URL like others are representing them in SERP? [ link ]
IF yes, does it help to be on the first page of Google SERP?

Hi Mozzers,
<a>https://abydosseo.com/</a>is a close competitor of ours. They're ranking far better than us even though many of our search metrics are the same...except one! links!
To give you an idea, we've got a fairly large backlink profile for the industry with quality links.
34,981 links from 276 Root Domains = about 127 links/domain.abydos Network has 1,692,256 links from 705 root domains = about 2400 links/domain.
Surely that looks a bit black-hat right there? Is it just a matter of time until they're penalised? Perhaps they're just a bunch of domain-wide links? Thoughts would be appreciated.

@hayleybowyer For the past 6 months, I've been trying to acquire a number one page ranking for this page with the key term "payday loan consolidation," but I'm not sure why I'm not putting it first.
Could you please look over the pages and point me in the right direction?

@hayleybowyer Thank you

@ovlg Thanks for posting to the Moz SEO Forum! I'm sure others may have additional insight to share, but here are a few things that I would consider first as a way of increasing your organic click through rate.
-
First, is it possible that seasonality is at play? Perhaps there are certain parts of the year where those target keywords become less competitive and position improves, but that also may mean that not as many people are searching those keywords. The holidays are definitely a time when we can see this happen.
-
Target less competitive, long tail keywords: these are great for bottom funnel conversions, and often have a higher rate of converting than some of the broad terms you listed above.
-
Write effective descriptions and page titles: consider testing to make sure that your page titles and descriptions are captivating to the audience. Often this can mean the difference between someone choosing to visit your site over another.
-
Lastly, I'd consider the various SERP features that show up for your target keywords. We see Google investing more and more in surfacing answers and content directly on the SERP. Identifying an area where you can show up in these features can increase the likelihood that someone will click to your site. Consider leveraging structured data in your page build to increase the chance that your site will show up.
Hope this helps!

Good to use disallow or noindex for these?
Hello everyone, I am reaching out to seek your expert advice on a few technical SEO aspects related to my website. I highly value your expertise in this field and would greatly appreciate your insights.

Below are the specific areas I would like to discuss: a. Double and Triple filter pages: I have identified certain URLs on my website that have a canonical tag pointing to the main /quick-ship page. These URLs are as follows: https://www.interiorsecrets.com.au/collections/lounge-chairs/quick-ship+black
https://www.interiorsecrets.com.au/collections/lounge-chairs/quick-ship+black+fabric Considering the need to optimize my crawl budget, I would like to seek your advice on whether it would be advisable to disallow or noindex these pages. My understanding is that by disallowing or noindexing these URLs, search engines can avoid wasting resources on crawling and indexing duplicate or filtered content. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on this matter. b. Page URLs with parameters: I have noticed that some of my page URLs include parameters such as ?variant and ?limit. Although these URLs already have canonical tags in place, I would like to understand whether it is still recommended to disallow or noindex them to further conserve crawl budget. My understanding is that by doing so, search engines can prevent the unnecessary expenditure of resources on indexing redundant variations of the same content. I would be grateful for your expert opinion on this matter. Additionally, I would be delighted if you could provide any suggestions regarding internal linking strategies tailored to my website's structure and content. Any insights or recommendations you can offer would be highly valuable to me. Thank you in advance for your time and expertise in addressing these concerns. I genuinely appreciate your assistance. If you require any further information or clarification, please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers!0 -
Unsolved Question about a Screaming Frog crawling issue
Hello, I have a very peculiar question about an issue I'm having when working on a website. It's a WordPress site and I'm using a generic plug in for title and meta updates. When I go to crawl the site through screaming frog, however, there seems to be a hard coded title tag that I can't find anywhere and the plug in updates don't get crawled. If anyone has any suggestions, thatd be great. Thanks!

Should I focus on building links to my homepage, or internal pages?
I'm hiring several PA's to contact site's linking to my competition. Should we try to get links to content pages (blog post, article, etc) or build links directly to my homepage? More info: My site is a web application, so most links will naturally fall on the homepage. If links to content are more important we'll need to change our strategy. We are pitching the free version of the application to universities and schools as a resource for their students.

Domain vs. page SEO
Hi I'm new to SEO and trying to optimize one of my pages. However this page that I'm trying to optimize is not the homepage. Does it mean that since I have collected links from other pages to my homepage that the specific page I'm trying to SEO doesn't get any "link juice"? And how could this situation be corrected? Is the only way to get direct links to the page I'm trying to optimize?

Low Page Authority for key landing pages
Hi guys - I am struggling to understand why I have a Page Authority of 1 (!) for most of my key product landing pages. All of them are linked to directly from the Homepage, which has PA 46 and DA 40. Many of them are also linked to from high ranking external sites. Less valuable pages on the site, with far fewer links, seem to have much higher PA. For some reason these just don't seem to be registering the link juice which is flowing to them. In fact, OSE doesn't seem to register any links for them - perhaps this is the biggest clue? I am at a bit of a loss. Some of these pages still rank highly for relevant keywords on Google. But something clearly isn't quite right. Has anyone experienced similar?
