To develop an effective strategy for a local site, it's crucial to focus on key elements such as local SEO, targeted content, and community engagement. Start by optimizing for location-based keywords to improve visibility in local search results. Ensure your site is mobile-friendly and provides a seamless user experience, as most local searches are done on mobile devices. Incorporate local backlinks and business listings to boost credibility, and engage with local audiences through relevant content, social media, and partnerships. Tracking performance with analytics will help refine the strategy over time, ensuring it remains aligned with both local market trends and customer needs.

To rank it locally, focus on optimizing for video production services in LA. So, update your Google Business Profile with relevant details about video services, for example, “business video production in Los Angeles” or “video ads for LA companies.” Encourage satisfied clients to leave reviews to boost trust and visibility; you could offer something in return, like a discount on their next order.
On-page, target keywords like “Los Angeles video ads” in meta descriptions, headers, and content. Use schema markup for video production services to improve local search relevance.
I think creating localized content is a good way to go; blog posts or case studies showcasing the impact of your video work in LA. For example, a post titled “How Video Ads Increased Brand Awareness for LA Businesses” can target local queries.
Also, build local backlinks by partnering with local marketing agencies or business blogs. Collaborating on a video project with a well-known LA business can boost your site’s authority.

Yes, we think that one of the best ways to get any businesses onto page one of Google, is to publish "ever green content marketing"- make sure the work follows Google E-EAT- and make it 3,000 words plus, but, very, very well written. Ask experts to also help write it, then this will help improve the organic SEO, it may even draw in white hat, good quality do-follow links. Does this help? have a look at our site at Walsh & Partners for more advice.

Backlinks from local businesses
Hello, I need to make sure I understand this correctly. Will it help my SEO if I: find local businesses with a good DA & low spam score select businesses that are somehow related to mine (Insurance Agency) offer to guest post and include a backlink on their blog ( ask them if they'd like to reciprocate) For example, businesses such as

Solved Moz Link Explorer slow to find external links
I have a site with 48 linking domains and 200 total links showing in Google Search Console. These are legit and good quality links. Since creating a campaign 2 months ago, Moz link explorer for the same site only shows me 2 linking domains and 3 total links. I realise Moz cannot crawl with the same speed and depth as Google but this is poor performance for a premium product and doesn't remotely reflect the link profile of the domain. Is there a way to submit a sitemap or list of links to Moz for the purpose of crawling and adding to Link Explorer?

New business / content marketing
Hi all SEO experts, if a website is brand new, so published in the last 3 months- new domain name and website design. We have rebranded recently, using a new domain as entered new business partnership, there doesn’t seem to be much guidance on this at all, from various SEO websites, so our question is would you delay publishing new blog posts / content marketing as frequently because the company website is brand new? So would SEO’s decrease the frequency of publication of blog posts, because the website is new? Or perhaps it does not matter, and would still post every week as you would if the website has been live for a long time? So, in nutshell, what we are wondering is, is the “Google Sandbox” still in use?

How do you optimize your site for surrounding areas?
For example, If I am optimizing a site for a dentist in West Palm Beach, Florida (the primary city) how do I ensure I am also optimizing my site for the smaller cities/towns that are part of West Palm Beach like Royal Palm Beach, Wellington etc.? If I am using "West Palm Beach" in my site and page titles etc., how do I also rank for the smaller cities? What are the basic tactics in terms of on-site and linking? For instance, lets say I offer Botox in West Palm Beach...how do I also optimize for Wellington, Royal Palm Beach and other local cities? Do I really have to create unique Botox content for each city? Thanks!

Advice On Promoting A Hosting Site
hi, I hope some of you might be able to give me a few pointers here. A friend of mine has started a web hosting company in the UK. Not an affiliate but actually owns a data centre, Now he has a great deal of experience in running hosting in other countries but all his work came from large corporate companies and not from the net. The UK hosting he wants to promote from online sales as well. Now I know his site needs considerable work (http://www.cloudwebsters.co.uk) but I want to be able to give him some advice on the best ways to get started promoting his site. Obviously content is a key to success, but not sure how he can incorporate lots of content into the site as it is effectively e-commerce. Looking at sites such as UK2.net they have a lot of pages on the site but they are all minimal content. such as http://www.uk2.net/glossary/moreuk2/ which only has a couple of sentences on them. Is this really the way to go for the site, my feeling is no as it does not offer any real quality but your opinions are appreciated. Thanks Jenson
