If not every yes, you can find most. Assuming the old site had nothing to do with their .com or .com.eu, etc.:

Can you get them to give you the access to the FTP? You can get most of the urls if not all from there.

Or,

You need to immediately go to archive.org, the wayback machine. You will see it on the page. I have attached a screenshot of one. I went to the homepage first as that is what Archive.org will serve up. I arbitrarily chose May to insure I was prior to relaunch. You should take the one that is most recent prior to relaunch.

Understand, I would prefer the FTP, but this could work too.

You could have seen it in a thousand places as it is fairly well written about.

With our clients, we don't have services pages as we want to focus on pages with titles around keywords. So, if they work on Autos, we would have certain categories listed: Front End, Tires, Engines, mufflers, etc.

The same can be said for Home. Many times we substitute the company name for the "home" page.

Amazon, and Walmart, are two edged swords that cut one way (you). I understand why businesses go that route, but it is very difficult to win. Sometimes someone does though:

A lady who is a friend of mine about 15 years ago took over the US arm of a German toy distributor and they created a very cool doll. Everyone with the German company and all on the US marketing team screamed they had to take it to Walmart. She politely refused to and said, let Walmart come to me. She then went all over hawking the doll and ended up on HSN. (I think that is the original big TV sales channel). About a year in everyone wanted these dolls and Walmart did not have them.

When Walmart called, she named the price - she did not have to kiss someone's... They were pleased to do the kissing.

MozRank is based on a lot of factors, but the key will be links for your new site. With OSE, the crawls take place roughly every four weeks and the last crawl was roughly a week ago. The next will be in about 3 weeks. 
Along with that, due to the depth of the web and resources (moz is cool, but Google is HUGE), OSE is looking at roughly the top 25% of links. So, if you have a link from another site that is relatively low in links of value, it will likely not show. You must continue to get links.
Make sure you have submitted sitemap to Google and Bing as well and give it a bit of time.

There is one thing that will help a magazine type site IMO more than anything else: Original quality content that people are looking for. We build sites, do SEM/SEO, etc. and I never cease to be amazed at what happens when one of our copywriters seems to write the "perfect" piece for one of our clients. It does not matter that the on page SEO was not perfect, etc. All of a sudden we are seeing the piece on different sites and in news feeds and we did not use some press release or other mechanism. One person picked it up after another and all of a sudden it was out there.

If you concentrate on this and then provide a way to stimulate/tickle the reader along the lines of say a highly known sports site (ESPN, Sports Illustrated, one I have just begun to marvel at is The Bleacher Report) people will have more reason to stay on and go through your site. Just go to one of these and look how often a given story teaser appears on a single page. Have teasers that attract attention: If on the NBA page, see what is there about specific teams, on a team page specific players, etc.

Lastly, a client of ours has probably taught me more about the value of an image than anyone ever. He was unbelievably strong in how many, where, quality control, etc. on his site. As the result, he has a site with a ton of traffic much because of the images (not a mag type site though). So, look at successful magazine to web sites and learn from them.

The one concern is "they make their money primarily through advertisements...," make sure the good is not the enemy of the best. Many business people fall prey to the "if we take that off, we won't have the revenue..." line of thinking. Too much advertising will cost you in bounce rate and time on site. It must be advertising that fits the visitor and it must not be so obtrusive as to be annoying. I once let my online subscription to a major newspaper that I truly enjoyed because the way the began doing ads kept interrupting any chance of finishing an article.

Later they dropped that mechanism; I never went back.

Well, I reckon I missed the party this time. Sorry, but I just got a ton of responses to this and am in a bit of a compromised position here as far as being able to respond, etc. (In the hospital but they think I will make it. No, it is not a face lift - but I would be interested in your pills.)

ViperChill, First, I made a mistake in the way I went about this. I would try to give you context, but it would sound like an excuse. I went after you, "this guy" when I should have gone solely after the issue I disagreed with; I broke my own rule and you do have my apology because I was wrong.

My point about the copywriters was exactly as it reads: given that I employ them I must be on the side of the debate that says content really matters. It had nothing other than that attached to it.

I did not think you were trying to 'rank for Rand' but I am open to the pills still I saw it as Rand's name is so unusual alleviating the surname would have little effect given the semantic context. I did read the article before I wrote. I did not evaluate it line by line. I felt you were minimally being the provocateur with statements like you made as I addressed. Yes, I do see it as tearing someone down when you make statements after pointing to their post such as - "what this person is saying is no longer relevant," and "you can't take this type of person seriously for making these types of statements in 2013." If I said you were lacking relevance in what you said, or that you were not to be taken seriously, I do believe you would take it as me tearing you down. (And, I would be, and it would be wrong IMO).

To me it is no different (better or worse) than what I did with the blanket "you are using it all to sell something." (I hate it when others assign motive to my actions and I did that to you. I just had an experience where someone did this with me and that really makes me feel stupid for having done it here to you within a week or two of that experience. Again, I was wrong for that.)

Now, you state I dislike you. No, really I don't but I can certainly say if that is what you believe it would be on me. As to my site being down... I have a few but we are up according to our various monitoring services; the main marketing one is up and has been so not sure which you might be referring to. If you have a url please let me know.

Again, I was wrong for making it personal about you. I hope you can accept that and we can move on. I have zero ill will toward you. In fact, kind of enjoyed taking a look at all of this when I had nothing to do but ... wait. Aaarrgghh. Sometimes it is good to realize how wrong one can be.

Yes, it is 'geared' towards ppc, but that should be a small issue. Another step or two will likely get you close to where you want to go.

When I do KW research (we do SEM, so PPC and SEO) for some great clients. You have to put in a max CPC to get the table when using multiple KWs. Ignore that it is PPC.

When table shows after max CPC (if CPC is $20 max go to $21) so that I get the max clicks available. Then, go back to Keyword tool (helps if you duplicate a tab and have them side by side). In the KW tool I add the same keywords but with the state (auto tires and auto tires Texas, replacement tires and replacement tires Texas, so forth) I also do broad and exact match - this gives me a sense of what are people really searching on for a localized client.

Then, I can infer the search traffic from the impressions that show on the traffic estimator by looking at all. Again, you put it in using an  excel file and you can export for the inference piece. No, it is not a perfect tool, but if your list of KW's is not overly long you can at least get a good idea.
