Does anyone know of a recipe schema creator tool?
-
Our CMS doesn't support a user friendly plugin to create markup for recipes, so we have to do it manually. Does anyone know of a schema creator tool for recipes? Raven tools has one for every other content type.
Thanks!
Lisa

Raven only has the recipe offering in there WordPress plug-in found on schema-creator.org it is very strange they did not update their site as well.

Hi Aggie,
Well that's a bit of a bummer. But I'm glad you are making it work. Did Raven offer any suggestions, btw? Or, rather, did you ask them for suggestions? I'm curious what they would say.
Thanks for the update!
Kind Wishes,

Thanks for checking in Christy. We found that even with some of these 'shortcut' tools, once we drop it into Google's Structured Data Testing Tool, we often still have some things to fix like 'fn' or a time code or something.
Our writers are finding it's easier to hand code than clean up what's put out by some of the tools.
Cheers,
Aggie

Hi Aggie, did you have any luck with those? Please give us an update, thanks!

I'm sorry it's only in the WordPress plug-in but not the regular website version

Check it again they added it moments after I posted it. I promise you it is there now

Thank you! We'll try this one out.

Thanks!

Thanks. I saw this tool as well, and noticed they have no recipe specific schema creator.

We use Drupal, and the template the writers would need to use is 500% more time consuming than coding.

Just published an article on SEJ about Schema.org markup and its role in future google updates: http://www.searchenginejournal.com/schema-org-eight-tips-incorporate-rich-snippets-conform-google-hummingbird/75435/
As peter pointed out, it will depend on the CMS you are using, nowadays there are plugins for almost everything.

I like to use schema creator
unfortunately you will have to add the recipe word in place of anything else that was there after the word schema.org

I hope that was of help, Thomas

Hi Lisa
Are you using Wordpress as your CMS? There is one here for that: http://wordpress.org/plugins/ziplist-recipe-plugin/
There is also a standalone one here
http://www.microdatagenerator.com/recipe-schema/
which says under construction. I tried it and although I didn't check what it created in detail it looked OK so you could maybe use that and adapt it.
I hope they help,
Peter

Can Anyone Recommend a Web Page Automated Tagging Solution for Large Sites?
We're looking for a way to automate content tagging on our site with a pre-existing solution/software/tool. This is mainly for content organization and to better establish internal linking connections for a large site. We work with Adobe Creative Suite.

Can anyone recommend a good reliable blogging platform for a small to medium sized manufacturing and services company?
I've been asked by my manager to investigate the best blogging platform for our company website. On a recent CIM course it ways suggested that Wordpress is not necessarily reliable. Could anyone advise? The blog is required to provide a space for current industry news, casestudies etc. It is also envisaged that the blog will allow comments. I've only got good things to say about Wordpress, but have only used the platform for my own small SEO company.

Kickass Tool for Content Writers
I have been a writer for a long time. I have done a lot of writing. Many excellent teachers, professors, bosses, colleagues, and editors have helped me. I've responded to a lot of red ink - a lot of red ink. A few days ago, I found a tool that has been extremely helpful. It has significantly improved the clarity of my writing. Using it on a piece of work makes me more confident about it at publication time. It requires a lot of work to use (at least it does for me) but the results are well worth the time. People who are serious about writing well will understand this tool immediately. http://www.hemingwayapp.com/ I don't own this website (I wish I did) and have no affiliation with it. Today they released a desktop version that they are almost giving away. I have not tried it yet but plan to instal it today.

How "much" schema.org is "too much"?
In terms of adding schema.org information to web pages, how critical is it for SERP? Can anyone recommend a model of what to tag? For example, on a single blog post I could tag the "article" and the "author", but I could also tag the logo that's in the header on every page. How much is "enough"? What is the relationship between schema.org and rel="author" tags? Thank you!

Does anyone use rss feeds to attract more visitors
Hi, i am wondering if anyone uses rss feeds to bring visitors to their site. My site is www.in2town.co.uk and i am not sure if it would be worthwhile in using rss feeds to bring visitors to my site. I must admit i have never subscribed to any rss feeds so this has got me thinking, do many people subscribe to them these days.

Does anyone have some examples of Ecommerce websites that have great product reviews that are SEO friendly?
I am trying setup product reviews on an Ecommerce site and was wondering if there were some good websites to create a model around that is SEO friendly. Right now my reviews are in a separate directory off the review (http://www.example.com/review/product/etc) and I would like my reviews to be attributed to the product page to add in free, fresh, unique content that contains valuable information for both the user and SEO (new keyword derivatives). Also any suggestions on getting users to leave reviews? Whether it is a monetary incentive/coupon or a free method (of course this is preferred :)) Thanks in advance!
