The problem here is that those sites are exactly the kind of sites that the Panda and the EMD updates were designed to filter out of the search results and whilst you don't need to make changes to the domain names you will lose additional value from those exact match domains and you need to make considerable changes to the content of each website to make them a unique and valuable search result.
If we look at the first site in the list and take a small selection of text:
"Welcome to the Hampton Inn Denver-International Airport Hotel"
If we google this we get over 30 sites returned using this exact same description as you are using on that page.
If we just stop to consider the initial blog post that Google put out about Panda and what they were targeting I believe this holds much of the answer for you and the approach you need to adopt going forward.
"This update is designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites—sites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful. At the same time, it will provide better rankings for high-quality sites—sites with original content and information such as research, in-depth reports, thoughtful analysis and so on."
http://googleblog.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/finding-more-high-quality-sites-in.html
You need to consider the content on these sites. Don't use content that is copied from other sites and create original content and information that provides value to potential users. Maybe expand on some of the attractions guides or identify other content that is of value to your target audience and use that to help promote the sites and bring people in.
Sorry, I wish there was a simple, easy or even technical answer to this but I suspect you just need to make the content a whole lot better and more unique and you will be okay. Can't promise the EMDs will rank as well as they may have done previously but certainly, there is a lot you can do.

What I feel is that EMD update is about stripping out the extra values some exact matched domains were enjoying. For say, this domain http://www.wingatehotelcolumbia.com is most likely to get better ranking in key phrase like this – “Wingate Hotel Columbia” , just because the domain has the keywords in it. But now this is coming to an End. Of course there are some issues like when you have a domain this like, even when you are building Link with branded terms, it will appear to Google that you are acquiring links with exact matched key words that might trigger a Penguin penalty.
So, there are two options –
- 1. You need to continue building great quality links and create a brand presence
2. You need to buy a new domain that does not look like a series of keywords.
_It is your take. _
- 1. You need to continue building great quality links and create a brand presence

When you say, you've been affected, what exactly do you mean? When did you see the impact and what % was the drop in traffic?
Have you logged into Google Places for each business and checked the analytics/impressions/clicks for each? Is the dropoff happening their too?
One thing I noticed that I believe is hurting you is that these two pages appear to be for the same business:
http://www.fairfieldinnhotelaurora.com
http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/denas-fairfield-inn-and-suites-denver-aurora-southlands/
This is a big problem because although your web site is legitimate, can you blame google for perhaps seeing it as an imposter when Marriott.com (in all it's authoitative glory) has the same business? If this is happening on every one of your domains (all of which appear to be franchises of bigger corporations) then my money is Marriott.com page is what's causing your domain to be flagged. I would re-submit your site to Google and explain the situation...hopefully once a human eye sees the scenario, they will fix the issue.
In Google's defense though, it's easy to see why they would flag your domains...imagine if you bought a domain name like chicagounitedairlines.com and Google didn't flag it?

About porn sites and ranking
Hello, I'm thinking to extend my website into porn. At the moment there is no pornography on it, although we do talk about sex related topics and products (from dating to tutorials, to toys etc.) Would it be dangerous to keep the porn section on the same domain as the rest? Would this negatively affect my non-porn content as Googlebot would "flag" my website as being pornographic (although only a few pages would be)? Or simply Googlebot would leave the current non-porn pages ranking as they are now, just fine, and plus it would rank the porn pages if they "deserve" to? I hope my question is clear. I don't want to create a subdomain.

By Using interstitial (popups) on the webiste, will google penalize ranks for desktop and mobile both ?
We have implemented interstitials (pop-ups) on a website (Business Articles Website). The popups are basically used for getting leads from the website (using Signup popups). Before Popup implementation the traffic was steady, After the implementation, the traffic started to decay after a couple of weeks and due to the drop we disabled the popup from the website and initiated a force crawl and within next few weeks, we observed traffic gaining back to its normal trend. Within these timelines drop in desktop traffic was more and mobile traffic remain steady. As per Google guidelines, interstitials are more likely to be affected on mobile than desktop. But in our case, desktop traffic was hit more than mobile. So we carried out this experiment for 3 months. And we observed traffic decay and regain. Is interstitials the only culprit here (as the drop is only in desktop) or Can there be some other reasons as well for the traffic drop? bF7hc

Where can I find a breakdown of google search volume by specific industry/vertical? For example, what % of people searching in google are looking for housing? Cars? Restaurants?
I"m looking for specific breakdowns of search volume in google by: #1 Vertical (Shopping/restaurants/Services etc). For example, how many people are searching in google for information pertaining to restaurants per month? Search volume for all of 2012, 2013, 2014? #2 More granular categories within verticals, people searching for: books, apartment rentals, cellphones) Is there a breakdown of google search somewhere online that gives this type of information? Thank you MOZ community, really appreciate it!

Google News Results
This is more of an observation than anything else. Has anyone noticed any strange results in Google News, in terms of very old content hitting page 1? My example is football, I support Newcastle so keep checking for the latest transfer failure or humiliation. First page for couple of days is showing old articles (April, May) from the same source rather than the usual spread of tabloid and broadsheet news.

Google visits falling at the expense of Bing
Has anyone else noticed their percentage of search visits from Google slipping in the last few weeks at the expense of Bing? We've seen a 4% swing in the last month. Obviously Google is still the dominant presence (acconuting for 88.4% of all organic visits to our site kenwoodtravel.co.uk) but still it would be interesting to know if this is just a blip or more of a trend?

After optimising for SEO my ranking went down...
Hello, My website was ranking for over 100 keywords but was not really optimised properly. For example, the page title was much too long, it was segmented like this: "keyword - Category - domain " I followed recommandations in SEOMOZ and I removed the domain and category from the long page titles to only leave the keyword and updated the H1 to reflect also the keyword. We dropped in ranking since even though we did not change anything, only made things more SEO optimised. I don't understand how it made us drop in ranking?? David

How To Rank High In Google Places?
Hello SEOmoz, This question has been hounding me for a long time and I've never seen a single reliable information from the web that answers it. Anyway here's my question; Supposing that there are three Google places for three different websites having the same categories and almost same keywords and same district/city/IP how does Google rank one high from the other? Or simply put if you own one of those websites and you would want to rank higher over your competitors in Google places Search results how does one do it? A number of theories were brought up by some of my colleagues: 1. The age of the listing 2. The number of links pointing to the listing (supposing that one can build links to ones listing) 3. The name/url of the listing, tags, description, etc. 4. The address of the listing. 5. Authority of the domain (linked website) You see some listings have either no description, and only one category and yet they rank number one for a specific term/keyword whereas others have complete categories, descriptions etc. If you could please give me a definite answer I will surely appreciate it. Thank you very much and more power!
