Google+ multiple languages
-
I'm facing the following situation:
We have a website (barcelonacheckin.com) with multiple languages. Each language has each own url. For instance English is barcelonacheckin.com/en and Spanish is barcelonacheckin.com/es.
If I'm right there seems to be a relation between the number of +1's and ranking in Google. Therefore we created a Google+ business page (https://plus.google.com/101996769636292908838) and we linked it to the english page of our web-site.
The number of +1's on our business page is in sync with our English landing page.
Now we want also to gather many +1's in the other languages. But it seems that you can only connect one Google+ business page to one web page. My question is. Whould it be smart to make a separate Google+ business page for each language?
I wonder how other multilingual web-sites are dealing with Google+.

Good discussion going on here. I did want to highlight this Google Forum discussion in case it would help with this topic: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!searchin/business/language/business/m9ye2hHR5Nw/nlzE_WQgKf4J

Happy to help, good luck let us know how it goes

Thank you for your reply. We will go for it.

Well the way Google looks at everything is "what's best for the user" and the same should really go for this, What would be best for the user experience, if you want to build a community then multilingual community then I would go for it as it would reinforce that you're there for your community and at the end of the day Google loves user experience.
Research and advice is always good though so don't be afraid to get more opinions & options!

We will be interacting with our community in various languages.
Actually my main question is: Would it be smart to create a separate Google+ page for each language? So barcelonacheckin.com/en has a link to the English Google+ page with rel=publisher and for instance barcelonacheckin.com/it has a link to the Italian Google+ page.
Our main goals is getting better ranks.
-
Firstly would you be using all the pages? What I mean is Would you be interacting with your community through them or would you most just be using your English page? If your mostly going to use one it would look better because of the engagement you would get through that.
Not sure if it would help but you may find this page helpful (half way down near bottom of the article).
Other options is rel=author. Really you need to think what do you want to get out of it, is it for rankings, is it for engagement/community ?
Technically you could get barcelonacheckin.en and redirect to barcelonacheckin.com/en thus get the ability to have more than one G+
Hope something in that lot helps you.
Best of luck.

What exactly "monthly searches" from Google Adwords teach us?
I have noticed that monthly searches of our "brand" in last five years is almost same. But I can see our competitors have increased their brand searched for monthly in last few years. They are gaining popularity slowly where we are not. What are the other things we can learn when users searching for our brand are not increasing? Thanks

Really, what are the benefits of creating a Google Brand page for an e-commerce site?
We have a jewellery store client who already have a Google My Business page set up for its store front business. Should we also create a Google Brand page for its e-commerce site (which has a different business name to the jewellery store)? This client already has a pretty robust Facebook profile. Is it worth it maintaining a Brand page then - since it targets Google plus users?

Google detects wrong information to compnay's knowledge graph on search index - Please help
This issue is about website properties' information showing on Google's search index with brand keywords. We have 8 different domains that operated separately in 8 countries. All are responsible for their individual domain. When I Google it with our brand name 'Flight Centre' in Google.ca, Google's search index shows company website link with flightcentre.com and detects all information, social profile etc.. from Flight centre Australia. Please see the screenshot. How to change this information that Google shows or detects website link and all other properties from flightcentre.ca? Anybody about with a quick answer would be awesome? What is the impact of the new google+ share button on SERP
Hello mozzers, I'm currently wondering what will be the impact of the new social signal ( Google+ Share ) on SERP an organic traffic. As we all know by now , Facebook share have an higher social signal authority then the Facebook like on SERP @Randfish posted some great info at: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/facebook-twitters-influence-google-search-rankings Since Google rolled out the new Google+ Share social signa at : https://developers.google.com/+/plugins/share/?utm_source=blog&utm_medium=gplusdevelopers&utm_campaign=shareplugin I was wondering if somebody had the chance to do some clear testing on the SERP impact of this new social signal even if its a fresh addition to the social signals. Creative way to secure local addresses for Google Places?
For those of us that operate business in other areas that we technically dont have an "address" in... are there any creative ideas/ways anyone has run across in securing a physical address that you can use for local listing? I have already tried the virtual office type of companies, and their inventory is limited to major metropolitan areas.

Google Displays Domain / URL Above Description?
I am seeing a new SERP format from Google. (new for me at least) In the past the title tag would display as the first line of a listing, followed by description and domain / URL. Today I see the domain / URL as the second line. This is placing an emphasis on "Who". If you have a big brand or a great URL this might be helpful to your CTR. Are you seeing this? What do you think of it?
