Correct Schema Markup
-
Hello,
I've been having some markup issues and need some help.
I researched what would be the best Business type and used that markup on the website.
But when I check it in the testing tool I get this http://screencast.com/t/vtlfn2MNPKf
It doesn't recognize the object type. Could this be an error with my website or the markup its self?
Please advise
Thanks

Hi Vlad,
What I meant was you needed to declare it like this
and not the way you did it . The best tip I could give you is make sure you encase each type of schema inas this allows you to easily nest the different types of schema on a page. I can see that this is the case with your other site after having a quick glance.
Hope this helps

Hi Ravi,
Only certain product pages will show rich snippets, so the ones you are looking at may not show but others most likely will as your product markup is coming back as valid in structured data testing tool. I have seen it mentioned that Google only stores a certain amount of data needed for rich snippets on a websites products pages - somewhere estimated to be between 10-50%.
Hope this helps!

Hey, thanks so much for the fix.
When you say it wasn't declared properly what exactly was the problem if you don't mind.
Also I would really appreciate it if you take a look at fivestarstoneinc.com.
I'm having twice as much problems with structured data and wondering if its the same issue.
Thanks

This is the correct code and will validate if you copy and paste it into the structured data testing tool -
ASG Seamless Gutters Inc
70 Leete St., Springfield, MA 01108 (413) 455-0800 info@asggutter.com <time itemprop="openingHours" datetime="Mon,Tu,Wed,Thu,Fri, Sat 7:00-19:00">Monday - Saturday 7:00a-7:00pm</time>
The postaladdress schema wasn't declared properly so wasn't being read and you needed to close this set of postaladdress schema with a prior to opening hours which are part of the HomeAndConstructionBusiness schema.
Hope this helps

Schema.org Data Appears on Website
Hello Moz World, I would like to incorporate Schema Data onto my website. My website has Meta tags in the of the document, which incorporates our keywords. And, in the footer, I have my businesses address, logo and other relevant information. Everything flows because it is stylized using CSS. When I input the schema.org data it appears on the website as text w/ a hyperlink. See Code: My Company

Phone: NUMBER I've tried to put it inside the head, body & footer of the HTML code. I want my website to show up properly through Google Structured Data Testing Tool however, I don't want the text to show up on my website not stylized. It sticks out like a soar thumb no matter where I incorporate it. My questions are; Should I even bother with Schema.org? And, is there a way to incorporate it into my website so it does not show up and Google can still pull it up? Thanks ahead of time for all of the awesome responses! B/R Will H.0 -
How should I setup schema.org for ecommerce site?
I understand how to do products, what I am more curious about is the organization schema. Is it worth it to set it up as an ecommerce business? I would have to set it up on the About Us page for the site, does it matter to Google that it is not located on the homepage?

Is this a Correct Time to Use 302 Redirects?
Hi Mozzers! We are going through a rebranding process, and as of this morning we have 3 domains, all with identical content. For example (not real domain names): www.fantastic.com
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Travis-W
www.fantasticfireworks.com
www.fireworks.com We are using 3 domains to ease the rebranding transition. We currently only want people to visit 'www.fantastic.com,' and if they visit the other 2 domains we want them redirected. Since we will be using these other domains eventually, should we use 302 redirects instead of 301s? The other domains are new and do not have any domain authority or sites linking in, so we do not need to worry about link juice. Does it really matter what type of redirect we use? Thanks!0 -

Any ideas for capturing keywords that your client rejects because they aren't politically correct?
Here's the scenario: you need to capture a search phrase that is very widely used in common search, but the term is considered antiquated, overly vernacular, insensitive or outright offensive within the client's industry. In this case, searchers overwhelmingly look for "nursing homes," but the term has too many negative connotations to the client's customers, so they won't use it on-page. Some obvious thoughts are to build IBLs or write an op-ed/blog series about why the term is offensive. Any other ideas?

Usage of Schema.org Microdata?
I am trying to figure out the correct usage of Schema.org for a business. Example: http://schema.org/Restaurant There is information like opening times or payments accepted. Would you populate this data within meta tags on every page (i.e. in the header) or really target specific pages? This could also apply to general info such as address, contact details, etc.. Interested in hearing your thoughts 🙂 Cheers Noel
