Domain Authority dropped 10 points and I don't know why

In my latest site crawl, the domain authority dropped 10 points for no apparent reason. There have been no changes to the site. The only change I have made this month is to block referral spam to the site. My competitors' DAs have stayed the same too.

Check for incoming links and see if there's any pattern. Check referral traffic and see if any bot traffic is landing on your website or not. Try the following steps:
- Create a filter in analytics
- Block spam IPs
- Block bot traffic to land on your website.
- Create quality backlinks
- Find out pages that are performing lower in SERP i.e. 5,6,7 or 8,9th positions. Optimize them and push them for better CTR.
Once you are done, submit sitemap and wait for some time, I hope this will help you out recovering the lost DA as it works for me.

With just a quick look, you've got 53ish links and many of them are questionable at best, or directory links.
So, link quality may be an issue, also, did you manually disavow links? If so, you probably just brought unwanted attention to your site.
We never tell clients to disavow on their own... only if they receive a manual penalty do we take that step.
Instead, focus on building actual valuable links as Google and other search engines have gotten pretty good at recognizing and ignoring spam links on their own.

Unsolved How to get Domain Authority using API ?
I wanted to test the API and while looking on the documentation urls, I cannot find details on how to get Domain Authority. is that not available to query ? was it replaced by Brand Authority ? is it only available for the paid API or for the free one too ? I looked at many documentation pages but I find it very confusing and frustrating, there are many versions of the documentation and various URLs and not clearly labeled, I understand some are V1, V2, V3, etc, but I didn't find sample API calls for Domain Authority. I am working on improving this site now, but while searching, I found a site that allows me to create a blog and the site ranks high 77. If I create a blog for us and direct it to this site, will I get a high domain authority through this site? I don't know if the domains are spam or something like that.3 -
Should I split long form content?
I have quite a long content on my site. By length I mean around 8000-9000 words. I optimized it to cover almost all searches related to a topic. But this length makes me uneasy for some reason. I do not think that users will find what they are looking for in such a long content. However, I don't want to neglect the SEO aspect of the content. I can talk about something like this without sharing the keywords completely: Title + for girls Title + for boys Title + for kids Title + for girlfriend Title + for boyfriend Title + for students As I said, in the current situation, these are all sub-headings (H2) of 8000-9000-word content. When I make a separate content for each of them, I can bring them all closer to 1500-2000 words. However, I am undecided whether this is the right step in terms of SEO and content optimization. What are your views?

Unsolved Links to my website are wrong
Hi, I have launch a new website, lorraine on october of 2021 and I have added it to a bunch a local and national directories to improme it local rankings. But when I get the domain authority and link data from MOZ it has only ten links and no one of them is from local/national directories. I have three questions: Do you know if it is normal that after 9 months DA is 1? Is there any problem with local/national directory links? I dont like buy links like others do but it seems the only way to improve domain authority and rankings.

Unsolved Moz doesn't find backlinks for months / link tracking list offline

I want to share a big problem with you. Moz tracking list seems to be offline or having trouble finding links. I have an example:
The page where the backlink has been placed was created months ago. As you can see on the picture:
Link to the page is http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/profile/tableauxdumonde
Backlink on that page is https://ggongtime.com/ Picture shows clearly that the page of backlink (Microsoft) has been indexed and already has got it's own backlinks in Moz (8) but it is still not linking to the backlink website (ggongtime.com).
I've also attached a picture of page source where you can clearly see that it is a html link and is dofollow.
The problem remains since 3 months and I want to find out what is going on. This Microsoft page is one of example. There are hundreds of other pages being found, or not, and are still not showing up in Link Explorer on website's portfolio.
I want to know if there is a technical problem with link explorer, or anything else, because this is a serious problem for me. moz problem.png0 -
Solved Link tracking list is not working

Ive been using link tracking list to add links for my website for 2 years now and it always worked the same Way - - > up to 1 week and the links were added to website's portfolio. The problem occurs since 2 months and links placed in link tracking list simply arent being added to website's portfolio. Are there any updates going on in background? Why is Google Webmaster Tools showing 404 Page Not Found Errors for web pages that don't have anything to do with my site?
I am currently working on a small site with approx 50 web pages. In the crawl error section in WMT Google has highlighted over 10,000 page not found errors for pages that have nothing to do with my site. Anyone come across this before?

Do Backlinks to a PDF help with overall authority/link juice for the rest of the domain?
We are working on a website that has some high-quality industry articles available on their website. For each article, there is an abstract with a link to the PDF which is hosted on the domain. We have found in Analytics that a lot of sites link directly to the PDF and not the webpage that has the abstract of the article. Can we get any benefit from a direct PDF link? Or do we need to modify our strategy?
