Make sure you have done the Setup for Google Analytics & Google Search Console and have submitted your sitemap in google search console and requested an indexing, this will definitely solve your problem of your home page not getting indexed.

There are various reasons why a website's homepage may not show up in search results. This can be due to inadequate optimization, low-quality content, or indexing problems. In addition, if the homepage lacks relevant keywords, inbound links, or structured data, search engines may prioritize other pages over it. To improve the visibility of the homepage in search results, it's essential to enhance its SEO, improve its content, and fix any indexing errors.

            Hey @henrichjrr420,

Google has definitely indexed your site (see image) but it's not ranking it.

Without a proper technical audit and access to analytics it's hard to see what's happening but the site looks super spammy.

Addressing duplicate content, staying informed about search algorithm changes, and checking for manual actions in Google Search Console are crucial steps. If issues persist, consider consulting with an SEO professional for a more in-depth analysis and tailored solutions.

@henrichjrr420 If you're struggling to find specific information despite using the exact title and keywords, consider employing various strategies to enhance your search. Enclose your precise title or phrase in quotation marks to signal the search engine to locate the exact words in the exact order. Exclude common words that might be generating irrelevant results by using a minus sign before them. If the initial search yields no results, try using synonyms or related terms, as information might be indexed under slightly different wording. Experiment with different search engines, as each operates on distinct algorithms. Verify spellings, eliminate cached data by clearing your browser cache, and leverage advanced search options to refine your criteria. Additionally, search within specific websites using the "site:" operator. Seek assistance from forums, social media, or specialized communities related to the topic, and be patient and persistent, trying different approaches as the information may not be indexed yet or could be in a less-known source. When looking for SEO services, it's very important to combine these strategies for effective searching, which often depends on how unique your query is and what kind of information you're looking for.

If your homepage is not showing in search results, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some common factors to consider:

                      Indexing Issues:

Check if your homepage is indexed by search engines. You can use the site operator (site:yourdomain.com) in Google to see if your homepage appears in the index. If not, it may not have been crawled or indexed.
                      Robots.txt File:

Ensure that your robots.txt file is not blocking search engine crawlers from accessing your homepage. Check for any disallow directives that might prevent indexing.
                      Meta Robots Tag:

Verify that the <meta name="robots" content="index, follow"> tag is present in the <head> section of your homepage's HTML. This tag instructs search engines to index and follow links on the page.
                      Canonical Tag:

Check if the canonical tag on your homepage is correctly set. The canonical tag helps search engines identify the preferred version of a page if there are multiple URLs with similar content.
                      Page Content and Relevance:

Ensure that your homepage contains relevant and valuable content. Search engines prioritize pages with quality content that matches user queries.
                      Technical SEO Issues:

Check for technical SEO issues, such as broken links, incorrect redirects, or duplicate content. These issues can negatively impact search engine rankings.
                      XML Sitemap:

Confirm that your homepage is included in your XML sitemap and that the sitemap has been submitted to search engines via Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools.
                      Crawl Errors:

Use Google Search Console or other webmaster tools to check for crawl errors on your homepage. Resolve any issues reported by these tools.
                      Mobile Friendliness:

Google prioritizes mobile-friendly pages. Ensure that your homepage is optimized for mobile devices.
                      Competition and Ranking Factors:

Assess the competitiveness of your industry and niche. Sometimes, it may take time for a new website or homepage to rank among established competitors.
                      Backlink Profile:

A healthy backlink profile contributes to better search rankings. Acquire quality backlinks from reputable sources to improve your site's authority.
If the issue persists, it may be helpful to consult with an SEO professional or use online tools to perform a more in-depth analysis of your website's SEO health. Remember that SEO is an ongoing process, and it may take time for changes to reflect in search results.

Several reasons might cause a homepage not to appear in search results:

                        • Indexing Issues: Check for crawl errors or directives in robots.txt that might hinder homepage indexing. Ensure the sitemap is correctly set up for search engine crawlers to discover the homepage.

                        • Content Quality: Enhance the homepage content by focusing on originality, value, and relevance to improve its appeal to search engines. Avoid thin or duplicated content that can lower its ranking potential.

                        • Crawlability: Rectify technical glitches such as broken links or improper redirects that prevent search engine crawlers from accessing and indexing the homepage. Ensure smooth navigation for better crawlability.

                        • Manual Actions: Look out for potential penalties by search engines and address any policy violations that might impact the homepage's visibility in search results. Review and rectify any guideline breaches.

                        • Competition and Ranking Factors: Consider the impact of high competition or superior-ranking pages within the same niche, which might lower the homepage's visibility. Analyze strategies to enhance its competitiveness.

Additionally, obtaining quality backlinks and promoting the homepage through various channels can help improve its visibility in search results.

Also, you can check DigitalShivanshi, they are providing free SEO audit for the users. Hope it helps!

There could be several reasons why a home page may not be showing in search results. Here are some common factors to consider:

                          Indexing Issues:

Ensure that your website has been properly indexed by search engines. You can use tools like Google Search Console to submit your sitemap and check for any indexing errors.
                          Robots.txt File:

Check your website's robots.txt file to make sure it is not blocking search engine crawlers from accessing your home page. The robots.txt file may unintentionally prevent indexing.
                          Noindex Meta Tag:

Verify that there is no "noindex" meta tag on your home page. This tag instructs search engines not to index the page.
                          Crawl Errors:

Look for any crawl errors that may be affecting the accessibility of your home page. Addressing these errors can improve indexing.
                          Content Quality:

Ensure that your home page has relevant and quality content. Search engines prioritize pages with valuable and unique content.
                          Page Speed:

If your home page takes too long to load, it may negatively impact its search engine ranking. Optimize your website's performance for better results.
                          Mobile Friendliness:

Google prioritizes mobile-friendly websites. Make sure your home page is responsive and provides a good user experience on mobile devices.
                          Backlinks:

Lack of quality backlinks to your home page may affect its visibility in search results. Build a healthy backlink profile for your website.
                          Duplicate Content:

Check for duplicate content issues, as search engines may penalize or ignore pages with duplicate content.
                          Search Algorithm Changes:

Search algorithms are constantly evolving. It's possible that changes in the algorithms have affected the visibility of your home page. Stay updated on SEO best practices.
                          Manual Actions:

Check for manual actions in Google Search Console. If your site violates Google's guidelines, it may receive a manual penalty.
If you've addressed these factors and the issue persists, it may be beneficial to consult with an SEO professional for a more in-depth analysis and solution.

                          Thanks

Here are some common factors that might be affecting the visibility of your homepage:

                            On-Page SEO Issues:

Ensure that your homepage has relevant and unique content.
Optimize meta tags (title, description) with relevant keywords.
Check for any HTML errors or issues that might affect the rendering of your homepage.
                            Technical SEO Issues:

Examine your website's technical aspects, such as page load speed, mobile-friendliness, and security. Poor technical performance can impact search visibility.

Why is my homepage not showing in search results? Check indexing, crawl errors, content quality, robots meta tag, canonicalization, website structure, XML sitemap, competitive ranking, recent changes, and penalties. Use tools like Google Search Console for troubleshooting.

Only my homepage ranks for my keywords, should I delete my other pages?

                                    keywords ranking homepage seo

I am an independent artist and all of my business inquiries come through my website (www.ChrisCarlsonArt.com). Over the last 6 months I have been trying to get pages other than my homepage to rank for my keywords, but I haven't made any progress. I worry that I am cannibalizing my keywords since my pages all have similar information. Should I just delete my other pages and focus on ranking my homepage? Also, if I delete my other pages will that have a negative impact on my rankings?

Will it upset Google if I aggregate product page reviews up into a product category page?

We have reviews on our product pages and we are considering averaging those reviews out and putting them on specific category pages in order for the average product ratings to be displayed in search results. Each averaged category review would be only for the products within it's category, and all reviews are from users of the site, no 3rd party reviews. For example, averaging the reviews from all of our boxes products pages, and listing that average review on the boxes category page. My question is, will this be doing anything wrong in the eyes of Google, and if so how so? -Derick

Why are http and https pages showing different domain/page authorities?

My website www.aquatell.com was recently moved to the Shopify platform.  We chose to use the http domain, because we didn't want to change too much, too quickly by moving to https.  Only our shopping cart is using https protocol.  We noticed however, that https versions of our non-cart pages were being indexed, so we created canonical tags to point the https version of a page to the http version.  What's got me puzzled though, is when I use open site explorer to look at domain/page authority values, I get different scores for the http vs. https version.  And the https version is always better.  Example:  http://www.aquatell.com DA = 21 and https://www.aquatell.com DA = 27.  Can somebody please help me make sense of this?  Thanks,

Would it be bad to change the canonical URL to the most recent page that has duplicate content, or should we just 301 redirect to the new page?

Is it bad to change the canonical URL in the tag, meaning does it lose it's stats? If we add a new page that may have duplicate content, but we want that page to be indexed over the older pages, should we just change the canonical page or redirect from the original canonical page? Thanks so much! -Amy
