Hi Jeff,

I agree with what David said. I think the only way to do it you're talking about is with Hreflang ideally you would use that technology to accomplish dealing the same language (En) but different geographies you will need to put pricing everything in the native countries correct format. Great Britain and Canada spell color differently than the United States take that into account as well as it's extremely important.

Take a look at this tool and if you can create the country you wish to specify and keep English as the language which you can and you can create hreflang tags ( I left a good amount of references below to get you started)

now keep in mind this is nowhere near perfect but this would be something you could easily do remember English is written differently all over the world and you want to take advantage of that when you write the content for Great Britain or for Canada.

HTML 5 incorporates schema into the code natively so it is something that Google and every other search engine is using as part of their algorithm so is important that it is implemented correctly. There are different types of schema

For instance I can use schema to easily tell a search engine that I am a local business and where they can find me this would result in the site that had the correct local schema on it coming up in universal search results for whatever keywords my site was relevant to.

If you're authorship is set up correctly and the Google Structured Data test shows it working correctly it should work. However one quick thing you should check is to make sure there is a checkmark next to your home pages URL on your Google + page there could be a number of reasons why a just not showing up I would check the instructions above and make sure that everything is done correctly.

Each portion of the URL above that starts with a colon (:) creates a named component that is matched until the next delimiter character (./=&?), and any portion that starts with an asterisk (*) creates a named component that is matched until the end of the URL (up to the query string).

The named components can then be used in the URL mapping's destination, with each name included inside of curly braces. For example, the named components defined in the flexible pattern URL above could be used to create the following destination:

I think that your description of your page being a "word doc" is a strong sign it is not user-friendly.

Use the MozBar http://moz.com/tools/seo-toolbar & look at the websites with non-personalized search on.

I think a good example of a site that contains a lot of text but is still compact and functional is http://websynthesis.com/ now there current company copy blogger does not have as much text on its homepage however I would suggest you look at the way they format text it is, big, with the right amount of spacing scannable if you know what I mean making it easy to read and the letters are big enough so it is comfortable http://www.copyblogger.com/

Look at they have been able to keep the text on the homepage and do it in a method that makes it very easy to read. You want people the will to scan your site.

I have tried to go to the domain I have tried to follow the hints to get your domain you are going to have to write it out and give a very clear for people to find it. You can use (service London co.uk) keep it inside of some system that I can find your site using. Because I have gone to a lot of domains that are for sale.

I after looking at your server set up believe that using Apache instead of Nginx is not A Wise thing to do if you want to have a faster site considering how much more efficient Nginx is compared to your current set up I believe that you are losing out by not using newer technology is very well known. Nginx delivers better performance and uses 1/8th of the ram your server is therefore not go to be as fast using Apache and Will cost you a great deal more. In addition when if you were to get a large amount of people on your server at the same time that's when ram can make the difference between people connecting or not. It's simply a matter of efficiency and this one was not built the most efficient way

The other thing I'm talking about is simple things like combining your CSS into no more than one or three files.

You're devs should know how to do this it is standard practice if you want a site to have A good load speed.

The other thing that concerns me is using Pingdom to check load speed time is all well and good however they also offer a free base Service that all out you too check your websites be using RUM real user measurement that is what you're people coming to your site Will actually experience. It is a much better method not that I'm putting down using going testing services they should be combined together. Neustar along with Pingdom our great places to start

I think you just have to change out the htaccess file information with what is described completely in the link but outlined here.

Xmap generates the sitemap dynamically every time the sitemap is visited so it can always provide a really up to date list of links. That's the reason why there is no such sitemap.xml file. But there is a workaround for this using your .htaccess file.

this tool allows you to create a Sitemap index if I were you I would use the link above and scroll now to where it talks about site map index file you can create a site map index file with this tool and that is a better site map for search engines

Add the following lines to your .htaccess file:

After that, you can visit your XML sitemap using a URL like this:

I would move your website off of webs

you need to either send the page to a proper 404 or better yet 410 destination if you can not 301 redirect. I'm assuming that by deleting the page you can accomplish a 404.
Webs is not the place where you would want to host anything of any value to you. Apparently 301 redirects are requested feature still not offered see this.

I have given some information below on DNS redirects however I would strongly suggest moving to either WordPress or hubspot it is more of a issue with the software you're running then anything else.

Not as easy or fast because it's not on the server but it is possible. Companies like Dyn.com they have two methods DynECT & Dyn standard DNS the price difference is quite a bit and both do the job if you choose standard you can create redirects using what they call "webhop" other companies that you can accomplish this with our NSOne.net and DNS made easy all allow you to create redirects.

So theoretically you can buy a year worth of DNS made easy for $29 a year and start creating redirects inside your DNS. Where I would then 301 redirect the areas covered UK page to the new areas covered page
considering that you care about this website I would look into something like WordPress as a replacement. If you're worried about ease-of-use is very easy to pick up and capable of doing almost anything.
You can even get a managed WordPress hosting provider for $15 a month at getFlywheel.com or many other excellent managed WordPress hosting companies like kinsta Pagely & WP engine if you choose the last two you can save money via Moz.com/perks
depending on the size of your website changing it to WordPress is really not going to be complicated unless it is something very advanced and because it is hosted and created on webs we know it is not. So the pricing would be very low to change everything.
hubspot makes an excellent CMS and will migrate your entire site over Conversion to they start at $200 a month though and offer and excellent platform for a small business that wants to succeed New Rainmaker is another one that comes to mind.

Hi Robert,

I would do an archive.org take a look at the site structure the best you can that way. Then I would figure out if there are any links that are valuable to the site and relevant to the pages that exist.

It is still very risky I have a friend who changed his domain and redirected 35,000 URLs to a site of half 1 million URLs however the links from the old domain that were very high page rank still did not benefit the site very much at all.

I would export from Ahrefs upload to Deep Crawl see the similarities between the old URL's content in the new URLs

considering that they have already been checked and confirmed that the links are not bad.

Turn the images into sprites there is a lot more slowing your site down then DNS and it is part of it but most of it is hosting and I did combine your JS files for you your CSS files were already combined.

Yes you are correct it is due to the #. Google does not index anything after the #so if you redirect to itfrom their perspective you might as well be doing nothing. The canonical tag could help. But more importantly why would you want to redirect to a URL with a #in it?

Google only sees this URL as

you will also need to find your Cardinal path and simply combine JavaScript and CSS as well as prioritize content that is above the fold. By doing so this will help you to create one JS file ( possibly more if it is impossible to combine for whatever reason)

people that get hung up on keywords are a pain but you should be forthright and tell them yes they will most likely see a drop in traffic for a minimum of 3 to 4 months.

I'm sorry to reply to you so late and I have used both WordPress and HubSpot beginning in 2006.

Everett I respect your opinion this is how I feel about it.

HubSpot is a excellent blog however is had some recent restrictions on the amount of traffic you can receive without having to go up to a higher plan.

With that said their blog is spectacular. There CMS designed for people that would use WordPress however it cooperates a lot of search tools and marketing Information e.g. landing pages, social media, spectacular analytics, keyword research, you will know if you're doing something wrong on HubSpot it will tell you.

I would not say WordPress and HubSpot are apples and oranges but I can see how someone would feel that way.

HubSpot and WordPress far much more than your average blog. I would have to say that WordPress has more in common with HubSpot than it does with Ghost ( a pure blogging only system)

I think hub spot offers a lot of value and who rule their ROI-you will agree. They coined "inbound marketing" and make fantastic additions to websites as well as great websites themselves.

Would tell a customer

more about what they are actually clicking on.

Remember that you have given an example of “?” “<element id="id”>”

It might be that somebody did something negative with one of the four IP addresses that it signs to your website and I'm certain that CloudFlare would clean it up pretty quickly however it never hurts to remove another piece of technology and see if it's causing the problem.**

Yes, this is a little disturbing. I would expect that vihara.nl shouldn't be indexed anymore. The rankings are gone, but most pages are still indexed.

Tony on the URL I referenced below there is a clear breadcrumb trail to the product. If you created URLs that used a subfolder for the category and then an additional subfolder for the product new for instance / The used a subfolder for the category and then an additional subfolder for the product new for instance

As Alex said anytime you change your URL structure or your site structure you are going to deal with a lot of complications. Including loss of traction in the search engine's. There are methods of doing it where you go about making small changes as you work.

Hi Matt,

I can tell you that Google does not value multiple links from one domain, so if I get 40 links from example.com, it will not count nearly as much as if I got 40 links from different domains.

It looks like you have found a place where you have followed backlinks.

Because of the lack of RD's or backlink diversity, you would not be able to distinguish really if one site is all that much better from the back links perspective. (Without seeing the backlinks)

Then the other they're both really not the way you want Google to judge your back link profile based on such little diversity.

Something that leads me to believe he has more relevant or powerful backlinks. Please do not think I'm saying something negative I do not have all the information so I can only tell you what I think based on what I have been shown.

Meaning RD's And unique IP's are what matters not a bunch of links that for all they know could have been your buddies site how relevant are your backlinks and how established or how powerful are your backlinks that are from different domains compared to your competitor?

It seems based on the authority rankings that your competitor has more relevant or powerful back links. Think of it this way if I were in finance I would rather get a backlink from Bloomberg.com or Forbes.com then Moz.com however I would prefer backlink from Moz.com only because it is more relevant unless one of these magazines was doing a story on me and, therefore, making it suitable.

Every example I've given you is a very high domain authority URL. If I got 40 links from every one of them, it would not help me very much. Where if I got ten links from unique domains it would give me a hand much more.

Relevancy so if I have one link verse your 20, and I will take my one relevant link from a high authority domain verse I ton of these less powerful domains.

I'm not saying that you are thinking from bad domains I'm just saying that the statistics that you're giving me are not something that is surprising. You both have very few root domains it would have to be that this person has more relevant or more powerful root domains.

If you feel comfortable showing us your back link profile in their back link profile, I'll be more than happy to explain precisely what I mean.

Please understand there are a lot of moving parts and were just talking about page and domain authority not the other big players like brain rank.
