Though there are no real downsides to shortening the title, as long as it accurately describes the products or services that be sold on that page. Your web designer, should therefore add a page title which really accurately describes what you are selling on that page

There's no simple way of building backlinks, most SEO agencies will say its the hardest part of improving a companies organic SEO. Its important to get quality links, even more so since Google E-EAT and Google Penguin updates. Use Moz backlink tools, look at your competitors links, try and build the same quality links. only use white hat methods, only ever build top quality links.

RE: Website ranking stuck on 2nd page of google. How to bring it in top 10 position??

RE: Blog not ranking for my name
So if your business is not ranking on Google, even for your own brand name, you do have to check whether the pages and blog posts have been indexed?
For example we've had websites built by some website designers, such as a WordPress website, where the "no index" have is left on so it can't be indexed.
-
RE: 0% visbility and no ranking keywords.
If your website is brand-new, then it can take a long time to improve the organic SEO, for a new company website.
However if you are running an established business, and you have had your website's designed a long time ago, you should ask a marketing agency to check if there are any Google penalties applied to your website if you are not ranking for any keywords.

RE: Is using a H1 tag in a logo image bad for SEO?
When you're writing the alt text for an image, simply write the alt text to describe what the picture is. Some web designers just label the picture 01- example, yet, to improve your SEO, its good to say what is in the picture for example a man eating an apple and write the alt text, just like that, man eating apple.

RE: What are the top 5 things you recommend you should do when you first subscribe to Moz?
Hi, so the first thing we would do, number one, is use Moz explorer, see which backlinks your business has. As links are still one of the most important ranking factors, then compare your companies backlinks, with your direct competitors. Work with an SEO consultant, or if you know how to do this, start to build quality, white hat links. This is how we got a company which sells garden fencing onto page one, mostly my building quality, do-follow and no-follow links- does this help?
-
RE: Strategy for Local Site
Yes, we think that one of the best ways to get any businesses onto page one of Google, is to publish "ever green content marketing"- make sure the work follows Google E-EAT- and make it 3,000 words plus, but, very, very well written. Ask experts to also help write it, then this will help improve the organic SEO, it may even draw in white hat, good quality do-follow links. Does this help? have a look at our site at Walsh & Partners for more advice.

RE: Wild fluctuations in ranking, any thoughts on why or what to do about it?
I think i quickly answered this, but to provide a more detailed answer, after the Google Helpful Content update, businesses really seen massive changes in where they ranked on Google.
So, we had updates, in the past, Google Penguin, etc, targeting link spam. This update was different,
The Google helpful content update looked at how useful, how much does the written work, meet the standards set out in Google E-EAT.
So, our best advice would be, contact an SEO company, for some advice, which pages/ blog posts are weak, need improving, make gradual improvements, improve the whole websites content marketing, over time rankings should improved.
However, word of advice, do consult with an expert SEO consultant on this, as if the improvements are not done right, rankings can drop further. so hire the best SEO company, and get good advice, as rankings can drop, as well as move up.

We have a company that specialises in building luxurious garden buildings.
We found that many of the main pages we wrote, had similar wording and weren't duplicated completely, but they were too similar in terms of the wording, which we think damaged our SEO.
We started to add content marketing, that was very well written.
Then we seen the organic traffic increased massively, this improved our SEO.
-
RE: Only my homepage ranks for my keywords, should I delete my other pages?
No, often it’s the homepage which ranks for most of the keywords, this is because, often because the homepage will have the most links leading to it.
But if you build quality, white hat backlinks to all the other pages, you might see them ranking higher as well.
-
RE: my clients its a mobile pet grooming with no address
you might just want to state the area, where your business serves on your company website, that’s until you get a fixed business address. For example our seo agency serves Cardiff, so for a while, we just mentioned Cardiff on our website until we got offices.

RE: DA and NoFollow
When Google is checking the quality of a businesses backlinks,, its always good to have a mixture of do-follow and also no-follow links, sure its the do-follow that sends the link equity, yet you still need no follow as well, as these links, can still bring shoppers to your website.
we have a lot of no follow links to our summerhouse construction company, yet we get a lot of sales, from our hundreds of no-follow backlinks.
-

RE: Seeking Advice & Strategies to Boost Rankings and Moz DA/DR
Are these brand new websites? if so, its worth knowing about the Google sandbox period, it does take much longer to improve the seo. So, i run an established fencing business, the main way we got it onto page one, was regularly, roughly once a month, adding very well written blog posts, hope this helps?
-
RE: my clients its a mobile pet grooming with no address
so, this is a really good question, we wouldnt ever recommend using a p.o box address, but if you have no address, no business address its still better than nothing. For example we have a business in a city called Newport, but we want to rank for "fencing services cardiff" so we need to have a p.o box address in that city of Cardiff, for us to appear in the Google organic results, does this help you?
-
RE: How to remove these spammy links
You do have to very careful with disavowing links, very careful, because what a lot of business do, is upload a disavow excel document to Google, and they break links, that might be good.
so you do need an SEO expert on this for sure, they need to know which links are rubbish, which are good. I run Kingsley Fencing and a business South Wales Demolition, both had rubbish links accumulate, if left, without consulting with an expert, the organic rankings would have dropped, so do go and see an SEO agency for advice, make sure the only linking websites are quality.
-

When you're buying a domain name, contact a good seo agency to see if they can see that the domain has had any penalties applied to it or not?
