Looking for feedback on review website
-
Hello Moz community. I’m looking for feedback on how
to improve this national company review/comparison website. We bring in experts in the industries we are writing reviews on. Well then conduct extensive keyword research and provide an SEO optimized recommendation content briefing to the writer. The writer creates the content including the high search volume and most relevant keyword phrases that people are searching for. We also make sure to match the intent of the keywords to Commercial intent for the content to ensure it matches our audience. For example, we brought in a leading audiologist and created the top Hearing aids for tinnitus.. How can we improve the process and site, any recommendations? -
Your review website is a valuable resource for consumers seeking insights into various products and services. The user-friendly interface makes navigation a breeze, and the comprehensive reviews provide in-depth information. However, it would be beneficial to enhance the site's load speed for a smoother experience. Additionally, incorporating more diverse content formats like videos or interactive features can further engage and inform visitors. Overall, a promising platform with potential for even greater user satisfaction.

Google keeps marking different pages as duplicates
My website has many pages like this: mywebsite/company1/valuation mywebsite/company2/valuation mywebsite/company3/valuation mywebsite/company4/valuation ... These pages describe the valuation of each company. These pages were never identical but initially, I included a few generic paragraphs like what is valuation, what is a valuation model, etc... in all the pages so some parts of these pages' content were identical. Google marked many of these pages as duplicated (in Google Search Console) so I modified the content of these pages: I removed those generic paragraphs and added other information that is unique to each company. As a result, these pages are extremely different from each other now and have little similarities. Although it has been more than 1 month since I made the modification, Google still marks the majority of these pages as duplicates, even though Google has already crawled their new modified version. I wonder whether there is anything else I can do in this situation? Thanks

Redirecting Homepage to Subdomain Bad or Good Idea??
I have a very old forum that still gets a lot of traffic, but when migrating over to another software that is cloud based we cannot redirect using same domain, SO the only option would to be to change the cname on a subdomain and then REDIRECT all the traffic from the ROOT domain permanently - would this be a bad move as the root domain wouldnt be used anymore as now its just setup to be redirected in order to use the software we need to use? Domain is 17 years old.

How to best handle search landing pages - that don't exist
I have quite a bit of blog information that can be searched, which results in "pages" that don't actually live anywhere. These are scanned by Moz and appear as poor page quality for speed, etc. How do I get the service to either ignore all of these or is there a way to treat them as a real page with content? As there are quite a few generated over time, I'd like to be able to capture them somehow. Thanks.

Google plus Rich snippets for guest posting on large websites
I work for a content marketing company and the majority of our clients are large banks looking to get their message out there. We're thinking of favouring writers with Google plus profiles and adding the rel=author tag so all the articles incorporate rich snippets and a profile image. So this is more of a discussion into whether you think this would be beneficial to a large corporation. I know it aids in search and authority but it would mean a company would have many faces and they usually have one.

Think of when a company makes a speech on TV its always 1 person designated as the company spokesperson. Another way would be to write on behalf of somebody in the company and have there profile image but I can imaging this is frowned upon by Google. What are your thoughts0 -
What should I look for when hiring a blogger?
In the past I’ve made many mistakes when hiring content writers/bloggers, the end result is that my targeted traffic is no better off even after investing several thousand dollars in to it. I have a blog with 400+ posts, each being over 500 words of unique content yet my traffic is under 30 a day. I use wordtracker for my keyword research so I don’t think that is the problem. Instead of hiring cheap writers from eastern European countries I want to hire people that know what they are writing about, someone that is an expert in the niche, someone like Rand Fishkin and Dr.pete for SEOmoz, always enjoy reading their posts and that is what I want on my own blog. I always refer new writers to this post >> http://www.seomoz.org/blog/perfecting-keyword-targeting-on-page-optimization and have recently had someone complete 40 articles for $200, but this isn’t what I want. I want people to come to my blog, enjoy it, and be satisfied with what they have read. I don’t want people to read the junk I have produced by someone that has no idea what they are writing about. The Panda updates have affected me in a negative way so it’s now time to change. I have attempted to hire “good bloggers” before. $25 an article sound reasonable? I now felt like I was getting scammed which was maybe due to lack of direction as the articles I was getting were not satisfactory. Is it better to have a writer physically come and work in my office? Or is it ok just to pay someone by the article at the comfort of their own home? So the simple question is how do I find great bloggers?
